If naira stopped being mahaan during this custody case...

If naira stopped thinking about vedika and thought about winning the custody case of her son by hook or crook just like karthik and his lawyer, naira actually has a far better chance at winning. Vedika would be her trump card to win.

Naira could tell her lawyer that karthik's second wife and kairav's step-mother is not accepting of kairav's presence in karthik's life, which the lawyer could present in the court. It could be pointed out in the court that naira left goenka house with kairav because in secrecy vedika accused naira of using her sick child to get close to karthik, basically pointing a finger at naira's character again like karthik did. It could be argued that karthik's second wife behind his back has been planning to kick his son out of his life simply because she thinks through kairav, naira and karthik will always remain in each other's lives, and to prevent this vedika had told naira to get herself and kairav out of karthik's life after accusing naira of using sick kairav to get close to karthik.

It could be argued that why should kairav's custody be taken from his loving mother and given to his father where kairav will have to deal with a step-mother who is plotting to kick him out of his father's life as she doesn't want karthik and naira to be connected through their son.

When vedika can order naira to take kairav away from karthik behind his back, then how can vedika be trusted not to continue to drive a wedge between the son and father if the father gets his custody?

These are valid points that the court would look at, that if the custody of the boy goes to his father who has a second wife that has been covertly planning to remove kairav from his father's life without the father's knowledge and there being a possibility that due to the second wife the child could be neglected by his father, the court would think that kairav would not get stability living with his father due to the un-accepting and conniving step-mother.

If naira had a selfish bone in her body, she would use the step-mother card against karthik to get kairav's custody. At least I would.

You and I would but the ever so giving selfless Naira won't unfortunately. It would have been super exciting if this actually happened you know and she could even disclose that Kartiks 2nd wife attempted suicide and begged her to go away with her son from Kartiks life. It also can be proved by finding out who got the divorce papers made but no cv's wont take this exciting route. Only woman that get humiliated publicly are the innocent ones the 2 faced manipulative selfish ones only get their dues in private.

This is very logical point for court case BUT writers itne logical/dimagwale nai hai...inko naira ko mahaan dikha kar , naira ka rona dhona dikha kar TRP badhane mai zyada interest hai.

LOL vedika has sussed out that naira is mahaan and knows that she herself is selfish in comparison so she will use this mahaan naira to the max. I'm now starting to think karthik getting kairav's custody is essential now just for karthik to see vedika's true face of how she doesn't want karthik's son in his life, because this marriage means nothing to karthik, only his son does, so if karthik ever got the inkling that vedika wants kairav out of his life, karthik would blast her so bad and put her in her place and tell her to her face that this marriage is not important to him.

Yep! Writers just want the case to be in karthik's favour else the logical thing would be naira using vedika's actions of pressuring her to take kairav away from karthik by questioning her character and pressuring her to sign divorce papers etc against karthik. Karthik at that point would be furious at vedika and feel bad for naira.
