It will not be appropriate for Kartik to ask Vedika to leave the house, considering her long time association with the family. It should be Vedika’s call.

Why is Vedika’s “responsibility” equivalent to marrying her? Kartik could have provided her with financial and educational support, to help her become a self-sufficient individual. 5-years is a long time to seek support and figure out ones life. Instead all she did was waited for Kartik to get over his wife’s memories and marry her. Not saying that what Kaira did was right, but the portrayal of Vedika’s character is extremely weak.

The exploration of the character of Vedika was minimal on the show. According to views I have seen posted online a widow shouldn't move forward in life and marry. In real life it happens and are we saying a woman shouldn't marry a man who has lost his wife? Whether widowed or divorce yes they don't forget the first person but then they move on in life and focus on the present and not the past. Naira is his past that has been missing for 5 years. Vedika was in his life for the last 5 years and held that family together. If Karthik's family did something for her in return she also was an emotional support for them. You can't discount here that Karthik chose to marry her. So far she has been shown as a peaceful person that blends well with the family. She has accommodated Karthik and Naira but if Karthik does choose to leave her it will prove that the he and his family used her and threw her away when she was no longer needed. She has been very kind to Kairav. Had it been someone else they could have been heartless and said no you ex and her child need to be out of this house. Here we see her including Naira and serving her tea and breakfast and trying to make her comfortable. If Naira reunites with Karthik she will have taken away Vedika's rights as part of the Goenka family that she earned the last 5 years. It would prove Karthik and Naira as selfish people who drag other people into their own immature fights and then they are left to face the consequences of this immature couples actions.

I am understanding what you are saying. But i still dont understand if naira was dead...what did she expect ? She is not a 5 year old. She knows and have seen kartik these 5 years ... right ? Then as per your words she has kept family together then i dont understand how as a adult she has failed to understand the depth of kartiks love ? This is where i am lost. I understand everything you are saying about the character..but if she is so nice , caring and was with goenkas and she earned the place then why didnt she back out ? Chalo we all know here kartik is immature...and lets forget about naira...if vedika is a mature person why did she marry a guy who still cries for his wife? If you want an emotional attachement ...you be a friend...that equals to a family member...you start doing what you like and by that i mean is hobbies and all...taking part in business and all the things... if she is the mature and all understandimg then why did she marry ? No one forced her. No one ever talked badly to her. Kartik had made his feelings clear ...why would you want to step into a loveless marriage ? Is marriage is all a girl needs for support ? And she couldnt do that to kartik...as she is the nice one...here..if she threw out the kid and naira when he is ill...she would be a villain. When you are an adult you do what you think is right...you dont mop around a guy who is weeping and crying for his wife.....

And also if she was the one keeping the family together i wonder how does she not know about all the karnamas of goenkas ??

If I recall during the various ceremonies that led to marriage there were times when Vedika wanted to back out but it was Karthik that encouraged her to partner with him in marriage. I don't expect someone to be completely 100% selfless as no one especially Goenka's have that character trait. Neither does Naira. I am just reflecting a different point of view. (Vedika's) while there has been focus more on Karthik and Naira's feelings. At the end of the day Karthik being a person who does what he wants and doesn't listen to anybody could have not showed up at the mandap if his heart didn't feel this was a right thing to do. No one put a gun to his head. When he himself declares this is what he wants then how can she doubt him.

After all they have shown I am emotionally detached from Kaira after all the stunts they have pulled. They have taken things to extreme and gone too far beyond repair. They need to grow up.

I am just not understanding how Vedika can be alright with Kartik's attitude towards her. He had made it clear to her when he proposed for marriage that he was doing it for his family. Even Pankhuri said in her interview post mehendi that Vedika knows Kartik only convinced her for marriage due to his family's pressure.

She saw Kartik mourning his wife a day before the wedding yet she agreed to go through with it. On the wedding day itself, he was about to leave right before the rituals but came back, only to leave right after.

Minutes after that he found out his dead wife, who he's still in love with, is alive. He has a 5 year old son. He forgot about the marriage till Vedika herself came to the hospital dressed as a bride, only called her his wife to spite Naira, didn't even acknowledge her presence the next day in the hospital, spent an entire week in the hospital with his ex-wife and now has willingly brought his ex-wife home. She has seen the way Kartik looks at Naira, how despite their differences he doesn't hesitate to touch her, how he takes care of her by cooking her breakfast, etc.

How on earth does she still think that Kartik would eventually start loving her or even treat her as his wife? How does she not see the discomfort on his face every time she's near him? They are married yet he doesn't communicate with her? Heck he doesn't even glance towards her till the time Dadi or Vansh literally push her towards him.

Is she that spineless that she is willing to spend her life in this loveless marriage? Live with a man who won't even see her, let alone treat her as his wife or have kids with her in the future?

She believes Naira would leave in a few days but would that sort everything out? Kartik would still never give her the love or respect that she deserves being his wife and she very well knows that. How can anyone be okay with this life?

I am in no way saying that Kartik's treatment towards her is okay but its obvious he wouldn't back out of this marriage on his own because he thinks he owes this relationship to Vedika, but how can she be okay with her husband only treating her as his duty rather than truly wanting to be with her? Isn't it sickening to be with a man who is madly in love with another woman? A woman who he was married to, he has been intimate with and now has a son with?

Vedika really needs to take a decision for her own self or at least have a conversation with Kartik to know where his head's at.

Totally agree that Kartik can’t stay married to Vedika when he wants another woman... specially when that other woman is his legal wife whom he has always loved obsessively. Our angry, lover boy is untamable by anyone except for Naira 😃😁😆

I remember Karthik making a declaration that he wanted to remarry. He wasn't going to live the rest of his life being miserable. They got married after he convinced her that this is what he wanted despite her skepticism.

From what I have observed in the show Vedika isn't happy being in this predicament but she is at a loss about what to do as the rest of the Goenka's. She is thinking that once Kairav is fine that things will resolve itself so she must be patient and bearing whatever situation is taking place as she thinks this is temporary. She is holding up to her part of the deal. Karthik on the other hand is not so sure as he is caught in the middle. He still has a lot of anger issues in regards to Naira. I think she is waiting to see how Kairav's health improves but all she has is Naira's word that she will leave. Karthik has not said anything so far to Vedika. I think when she sees that the issues are not getting resolved she will take action in time. Going into this marriage it was one-sided love but Karthik told her to be patient with him and allow him time to transition to this new life. She will lose patience and will start seeing that there is no solution until she decides to step away. Then she will do exactly that.

I hope Vedika walks away with her dignity and self-respect so that she doesn't have to deal with the Goenka family dramas anymore. I hope she finds someone much better than Karthik who doesn't come with so much drama and baggage.

I don’t see how Vedika has held the family together. The only people she is shown close to are Dadi and Vansh. Besides, this family has a lot of unresolved issues yet like- Akhilesh chachu’s extramarital affair, Vansh’s position in the house, Gayu’s marital issues, Luv Kush refusing to visit family etc. She is not capable of holding her own life together, let alone Goenka family’s.

Vedika was in Kartik’s life for 5 years, but failed to make an impact in his life. Kartik despises her; does not even look at her or talk amiably. They are not even friends.

She allowed Naira and Kairav to stay in the house, as if she had a choice. Kartik or Dadi would not allow Kairav to leave anyways. Still then she expressed displeasure upon their stay.

The foundation of K-V marriage is based on pity and pressure from Dadi, which is wrong.

At this point let’s just agree to disagree.

When she was gone, he was willing to at least make an effort for the sake of his family but given the circumstances, he knows he would never be able to let go off Naira especially now that they have Kairav holding them together.

He said it yesterday himself that he can't let go off Naira. Even though he is angry, he knows what his heart wants. He would rather live a life where Naira hates him than one in which she doesn't exists or he's married to someone else.

It might appear selfish on Kartik's end that he married Vedika to save his family but isn't it better to be upfront right now rather than just tagging her along till she can't take it anymore? As a wife, or even as a friend, Vedika deserves a honest confession from Kartik.

Kartik and Naira have hurt too many people due to their immaturity and selfishness in the past. Even right now Naira is trying to act as the bigger person by reassuring Vedika that she would leave, however, her actions and words are contradictory. We all thought Kartik would force Naira to live in GV but he didn't because even before Naira had the conversation with him in the room about her trying to flee again, she had already sent Naksh away.

Both Kartik and Naira are using Kairav to hold on to each other and its not fair to Vedika. So why not just allow her to leave now than put her through the torture of seeing her husband with his first wife? Just taking pheras does not equate to Kartik fulfilling the promise that he made to Vedika's father that he would take care of her.

He would have actually fulfilled his duty had he found a nice guy for her, someone who loved her and respected her. Right now Kaira are not benefiting anyone but themselves; not their son, not their families and certainly not Vedika.

The cvs should honestly just wrap up Vedika's track. Give her a decent exit rather than turning her negative and continuing what appears to be Kaira's extra-marital affair (given the fact that everyone in the show has assumed that their marriage ended by itself and Vedika is the only wife).
