Karthik walked into Naira's room, he went up to, where she lay on the hospital bed. He looked at her, his eyes oozing with love, he caressed her face softly, he bend down and kissed her temple, letting a single tear fall from his own eyes and enter her shut eyes.
"I love you Naira come back to me", he whispered into her ear his voice filled with immense love, suppressed pain and self anger.
"Naira tumhe hum dono ki shaadi yaad hai, woh har lamha, woh har ritual, woh chup chup ke milna, aur finally humara ek hona. Yaad hai hum dono shaadi ke liye kaise manna kar rahe the kyun ke hum ne socha hum sirf 19, 20 years ke hai aur shaadi ke liye ab mature nahi hai, lekin phir maa ki tabiyat aur kharab ho gayi aur doctors ne bhi jawab de diya aur phir maa ne request kiya ke hum shaadi uske samne kare, phir bhi hum darre hue the, lekin jab shaadi huyi, woh humari zindagi ke sab se hasseen lamhe the. "Tanvi beta aram karo, tumhare liye itna kaam karna thik nahi, doctors ne manna kiya hai ne", Negi uncle tried to make Tanvi understand who was stressing herself.
"Nahi Negi uncle aaj mere bete aur beti ki sagai hai, mein khud sare intezam karungi aur Karthik Tina ki shaadi dekhe bina mujhe kuch nahi hoga", Tanvi said happily.
Naira was getting ready in her room when she heard the door open.
"Tu agayi Pungi, acha hua, zarra bandh le, pata nahi yeh zip upar hi nahi ja rahi, I guess it is stuck", Naira called out struggling with the zip of the top of her salwar suit.
She felt a hand on her back, it wasn't Pungi's. The hand was a bit hard and manly, but the touch was soft and caring, she knew it was his hand, she felt him pull the zip up, she couldn't help but smile on the inside.
"Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho", she said faking anger.
"Tum se milne aiya hun, apni hone wali fiance se milne bhi nahi asakte, shaadi thodi na hai Jo nahi mil sakte. On second thoughts Shaadi hoti tab bhi ata, tum meri ho mein jab jahe milun, duniya ki parwa kyun karun, Haan woh baath alag hai agar tum ne nahi chati ke hum mile", He replied lovingly back hugging her
"Karthik", she said sternly turning to face him
"Bolo meri jaan", he said lovingly touching his forehead with hers
"Humesha aise hi rahoge, mujh se itna hi pyaar karoge. Kabhi mujh se pyaar jatane mein piche nahi rahoge duniya ki parwah nahi karoge. Wada karo Karthik tumhara pyaar kabhi kam nahi hoga, tum kabhi mujh se dur nahi jaoge, mujhe kabhi majboor nahi karoge ke mein tum se dur jao", she asked tearry eyed
"I promise you", He said wiping the tears that fell from her eyes and engulfed her in his arms.
"Koyi baath hai, jab se shaadi ki batein shuru huyi hai, there is something that has been bothering you. You know you can tell me anything", He asked caressing her hair
"Aisi koyi baath nahi hai bas apni family ki yaad arahi thi, that is all", She told him
"Tina tum ne kabhi apni family ke barien mein baath nahi ki", Karthik asked
"Karthik please mein unke barien mein baath nahi karna chati", Naira replied
"Okay mein unke barien mein nahi puchunga I know tumhe taqleef hoti hogi jab tumne apni family ko kho diya hogaya and main yeh nahi chata ke tum koyi buri yaad phir se yaad aye", Karthik told her
"Karthik tumhe nahi lagta humein tumhare Dad se baath kar leni chaiye, I think ma'am bhi yehi chati hai", Naira asked him
"Tum janti ho Naira phone kiya main ne humare barien mein baath karne ke liye, socha ke maa ke cancer ke barien mein bhi bataunga, lekin unho ne toh apni shaadi ki khabar sunayi, woh bhi unki dusri shaadi ko almost 2 years ho chuke and aaj ja kar unhone mujh se bola. Mera unke saath koyi rishta nahi", he said angrily
"Mujhe Karthik ko puri sachayi batani chaiye, ke mein ghar se dur kyun gayi woh zaroor samjhe ga, lekin agar woh bhi mumma ka gungan karne lage", Naira thought to herself.
"Kahan kho gayi janeman, mein toh tumhare samne hun, phir kiske khiyalon mein ho", Karthik flirted.
"Main toh yehi hun tumhare pass", she replied resting her head on his shoulder.
"Tumhara dil yahan nahi hai", he told her
"Ab mujhe kahan pata mera dil kaha hai main ne toh usse tumhe de diya ab tumne usse kaha rakha main kya janu", she replied cheekily
"Yaar Tina itni cheesy line", asked Karthik
"Sangat ka asaar hai", she replied eyeing him and both bursted out laughing.
"Karthik ab jao yaha se, ma'am ajayegi", she told him and he finally went out.
"Mil ke agaye usse", asked Tanvi as she sees Karthik pass by.
"Kiss se mila, kissi se milna tha", he asked innocently.
"Meri hone wali bahu se", asked Tanvi
"Haan", he replied
"Kyun gaya tha tu wahan tiyar ho rahi thi", asked Tanvi.
"Jab mein gaya tha woh already taiyar ho chuki thi, ab sagai se phele last romance toh bnta hai apni girlfriend ke saath, sagai ke baad apni fiancee ke saath romance kar paunga, toh apni girlfriend ke saath akhiri baar romance karne ka golden chance mein kaise miss karta. Aur thodi na shaadi hai jo hum ek dusre se nahi mil sakte (small pause) sachayi wali ek baat batao shaadi hoti tab bhi aise milne jata, last time apni fiancee ke saath romance karne ka mauka kaun chodega, uske baad thi sirf apni biwi se romance karunga", he replied
"Kaisa besharam ladka hai tumhara, Tanvi, manti hun ke love marriages mein kabhi kabhi dhula dhulan chup ke milte hai, but aise sab ke samne announce thodi na karte hai", one of Tanvi's friends who stood nearby taunted.
"Chup ke kyun, gunnah kiya hai jo chup ke karun, pyaar kiya hai. Aap toh mujhe besharam aise kahe rahi hai ke mein shaadi kissi aur ke saath kar raha hun romance kissi aur ke saath. Meri maa ne mujhe kuch nahi kaha toh apko problem kyun ho rahi hai.", asked Karthik a bit irritated
Naira was watching the whole scene from one corner, images of her mother telling the police officer that she would herself send Naira to jail if she was proven guilty flashed through her eyes, she remembered how for her mother mother justice was always most important, being right was important and for that she had made her own daughter secondary, but new he was there in her life, her Karthik, who loved her to bits, who wouldn't hesitate a single bit in proclaiming his love for her. He was the only reason for her happiness, the only reason she felt loved and cared for, the only one who made her feel special.
Sagai ka mahurat hai Tanvi beta, Karthik aur Tina, ko buliya
"Pandit ji Karthik toh yahan hai, aur Tina, lo agayi", said Tanvi as pungi bought Naira in.
Karthik put the ring on Naira's fingers and kissed her hand.
"Karthik sab hai", whispered Tanvi in her son's ears
Karthik forwarded his hand, Naira put the ring on his finger and everyone clapped happily, Naira bent forward and kissed his cheeks making the applause come to an end.
"Yeh kya tha", whispered Karthik
"Kiss tha", she whispered back
"Kyun kiya", he asked
"Tum ne bhi toh kiya", she answered
"Maine haath par kiya", he whispered
"Haan na kyun ke tum mendak ho, aur mein sherni, sherni, mendak se do kadam agge hi rahe gi", she whispered in answer and giggled a bit.

"Main ne apna wada nibhiya, jahe woh chota ho ya barra. Shaadi ke phele sab ke samne akar tum se akele milne ka wada ho ya tumhe kabhi na chod ke janne ka wada, ab tumhe bhi apna wada nibhana hoga, wapas anna hoga, mere saath humesha rahena hoga, tumhe apna wada nibhana hoga", he cried and screamed.
He let himself crumble to the floor, he took her hand in his grip, "Come back to me Naira, come back to me, come back to your Karthik", he said as he kept her han back on the bed though still in his grip, he bent and rested his hand on her hand that was gripped in his, he stayed there remembering all the beautiful moments they had spent together, tears flowing down from his eyes, he was completely broken, he had stood strong infront of the family knowing that if he would break down they would break down also, they were being strong for him and he too had to be strong for them, but now here in this room it was only her and him, no one else, here he could break down, here he could let all his pain out, here he didn't have to care.

The Singhania house members were gathered in the hall room, sleep was far away from all. Karishma had put Mishti to sleep again with great difficulty after the girl's eyes had opened between the car ride and she insisted on going back to the hospital and remaining with her bff, but Karishma, Akshara and Naitik made her understand asked her to have her dinner and go to bed.
"Yeh samajh nahi araha ke kya se kya hogaya", said devyani not yet able to absorb the day's events.
"Naira aur Karthik ki zindagi mein itna sab hogaya aur humein khabar bhi nahi rahi", Akshara spoke more to herself than anyone else, wondering how couldn't she see hidden pain and love in Karthik's eyes for her daughter.
"Munna abhi tum ne batiya nahi ke tumhe Karthik aur Naira ke rishte ke barien mein kab pata chala", asked raj shekar
"Babuji Kenya janne se kuch din phele, main on going project ke discussion ke liye Karthik ko buliya lekin pata chala ke woh ek client ke saath busy hai. Iss liye peon se kahe ke mein ne Karthik ke cubicle mein rakhe huyi pen drive mangi jiss mein on going project ke details the. Lekin woh Karthik ka personal pendrive utha le aiya, aur yeh mujhe tab pata chala jab main ne usse on kiya aur uss mein Jo videos or photo dekhe", Naitik answered
"Aisa kya tha munna", asked bhabhima
"Unki shaadi ki tasveerien, aur kuch shaadi ke baad ki bhi. Main shocked ho gaya uss sab ko dekh ke, main ne uss se sawal pucche aur ussne mujhe Naira ke accident ke barien batiya, aur kahan ke main kissi se kuch na kahun", Naitik replied
"Lekin Karthik ne kyun manna kiya, uss ne kabhi humein batiya nahi", Naksh asked
"Duggu ajeeb laga hoga usse, woh yaha aiya aur uski Tina ko humari Naira bante dekh woh bhi shocked ho gaya.", Akshara told her son.
"Haan Naksh, Karthik ke liye Naira , phele Tina thi, uski Tina Jo ek anath thi, phir achanak se yeh jaan kar ke Tina, Tina nahi Naira hai, uska ek parivar hai usse ajeeb .sa laga hoga", devyani added.
"Karthik ko pata tha ke Tina ki family hai. Ek din Naira saute waqt restless hogayi aur woh uss incident ke barien mein badhbadane lagi, jaisa koyi bura sapna dekh rahi ho. Karthik ne usse jagiya aur usse calm down kiya aur usse sawal pucha lekin uss ne koyi jawab nahi diya, phir Karthik ke bahut zidh karne ke baad usse bas yeh kahan ke uski family hai, magar uska hum se koyi rishta nahi. Negi uncle se usse pata chala ke udaipur se Naira ka koyi rishta hai. Karthik ne bahut bar mujhne ki koshish ki uss se ke ghar chod kar woh kyun gayi, uski family ke barien mein, lekin Naira chup rahi. Ussne Karthik ko yeh bhi Nahi batiya ke woh Tina nahi Naira hai. Karthik samajh chuka tha ke Naira usse kuch nahi batiya. Uska ek friend hai jiss ka bhai yaha udaipur mein hi police officer hai, woh unke pass bhi gaya aur pucha ke agar Tina naam ki koyi missing complaint hai, lekin Tina ki missing complaint nahi thi. Kaise hoti missing complaint toh Naira ke naam par thi", Naitik spoke.

Karthik wiped his tears, his voice choking he barely managed to speak clearly, "Naira ab bas bhi karo aur mat tadpao mujhe bahut hogaya. Ab aur zidd nahi, Uth jao". Tears flew down his eyes again as he got nothing but silence from her.
"Naira dekho ne iss baar mein nahi bhula", he said pointing out where her name was written as Mrs Naira Karthik Kapoor on the consent form.

Tanvi had asked Karthik to get Tina's name changed from Tina to Tina Kapoor in the University records. The classes had got over Karthik was already out he was waiting for Naira so that they could leave for the railway station, but she was still in and he found that weird because they had the last class together and he saw her going out before him, he had expected to find her waiting for him where he was standing from the past half an hour. His thoughts were cut off as he saw her approaching.
"Kahan rahe gayi thi", he asked
"Galti sari tumhari hai, station phauncte hai, warna train chut jayegi", she replied, they both hurried to caught their train.
"Ab batao kahan rahegi aur sarra ilzam mere upar kyun Dal rahi ho", he asked
"Kyun ke sari galti tumhari hai, Maa ne tum se kya kahan mera naam university's database mein badalwane ko aur tum ne kya kiya", she asked
"Main ne woh kiya, naam ko Tina se Tina Kapoor change karwaya", he replied
"Aur Karthik kya tum kha gaye", she asked irritated
"Main khud ko kaise kha sakta hun", he asked not getting the meaning of her words
"Phir Tina Karthik Kapoor se Karthik kahan chala gaya", she asked looking mad
"Bas itni si baath Tina, kya farak padta hai", he said as if it is no big deal
"Kya Matlab farak nahi padta, Tina Kapoor Matlab koyi bhi ho sakti hai, lekin Tina Karthik Kapoor, Karthik ki wife hai, wo, wo hai Jo apne Karthik ki hai, jiss ka Karthik hai. Sab ko pata ho, Tina Karthik ki hai aur Karthik Tina ka, bhale Kapoor na lagao, Karthik humesha mere naam se judda rahega. Bahut farak padta hai", she said pointing a finger right into his face making sure he is clear that for her it made a very big difference.
"Possessive much", he asked
"Kyun na hun, shaadi ke hai", she replied back.

Kyun kyun har insan jiss se maine pyaar kiya, woh mujh se dur hua, galti kya hai meri, jo meri puri zindagi sazza milti rahi. Lekin nahi iss bar nahi. Iss baar woh tumhe mujh se cheen nahi payega, khud par nahi, tum par bharosa hai, bharosa hai tum dhoka nahi do gi, bharosa hai tum apna wada nibhogi, mere saath zindagi bhar rahne ka wada, mujh se kabhi dur na janne ka wada.

"Bhaiya, Karthik ne apko Naira ke accident ke barien mein kuch batiya, I mean accident kaise hua, kab hua", asked Karishma and others too wanted to know
"Woh log wapis arahe the", Naitik spoke.
"Kaha se wapas arahe the", asked devyani
"Yahan wapas arahe the, humare pass, hum sab ke pass", Naitik replied
"Lekin tu ne toh kahan ke Naira ne Karthik ko kuch bhi nahi batiya hum logon ke barien mein", Rajshekar asked
"Haan bauji kuch nahi batiya Naira, ne usse, aur Naira ne wapas bhi nahi anna chati thi, Karthik ne bhi kabhi Naira se zidh nahi ki. Kafi mahine guzar gaye. Phir unhe pata chala Naira pregnant hai. Karthik ne usse maniya ke bhale woh ghar wapas na ae, magar kam se kam yahan akar un dono ke rishtey ke barien mein bataye, unke hone wale bache ke barien mein bataye, Naira maan gayi. Woh log arahe the, Naira aur Karthik railway station ja rahe the, Karthik nahi chata tha ke Naira pregnancy mein zyada chale issiliye woh dono jeep mein ja rahe the, Naira ne zidh ki Karthik se ke woh jeep chalyegi warna walk karke ayegi, Karthik ne Naira ki zidh maan li aur usse jeep chalane Di. Achanck se samne se truck ayi, Naira time par turn nahi le nayi, aur jeep truck se takra gayi, dono ka accident ho gaya.", Naitik said remembering the time Karthik told him about the accident.
Everyone was shocked, they felt very bad for Karthik and Naira, how happy they two must have been and than the accident took all their happiness away.
After some time Akshara made everyone understand that they should get some sleep and everyone retired to their rooms.

"Hum toh khushiyan manane ki taiyariyan kar rahe the, lekin khushiyan chen kar uss ne humein dukh diye", said Karthik smiling a sad smile trough his tears.

"Tina kya kar rahi ho, mere ankho par patti kyun bandhi hai, bday tumhara hai aur tum mere ankho par patti bandh rahi ho, mujhe tumhe surprise dena chaiye, tum mujhe surprise de rahe ho", he asked.
"Uffo mendak gift toh tum ho mere Jo bahut phele mil chuka hai, surprise bhi de diya kal raat ko hi mujh se sab se phele wish karke", she replied and kissed him on the cheek and opened his blind fold. They stood in a dimly candle illuminated room, a cake laid in a small table. She took his hand and made him stand near the cake, he looked at it, "Congratulations", was written in white icing on the brown cake.
"Bday cake par happy birthday likhte hai, congratulations nahi", He told her
"Lekin good news dene par congratulations kahe sakte hai", she said her eyes twinkling
"Kaisi good news", he asked
"Yeh wali", she said eyes keeping his hand on her stomach she stood on her toes and put her lips near his ears, "I am pregnant", she whispered. Than standing normally she took his hand in hers, "I know this is unplanned and I don't know if you are ready for this, honestly I don't know if am ready either but..", she stopped in her words.
"But as long as we both are together we can handle anything", he continued as he looked lovingly at her and than she nodded her head positively.
Both were happy with upcoming baby. Negi uncle and the orphanage kids were waiting eagerly for the new member. Pungi was super excited to be a massi. A month passed by since everyone came to know. Negi uncle talked to the two about giving the news to their families. Neither Karthik wanted to tell his father, neither Naira wanted to go back, but they loved and cared for each other more than themselves, not for himself but thinking about reuniting his Tina with her family he agreed. Even Naira agreed to go back thinking of uniting Karthik with his father, a thing that Tanvi had asked her to do. But none of them knew that wanting to get happiness for each other will lead to them drifting apart, would lead to them loosing their child, would lead to Naira forgetting their love.

"Sirf iss ek baath ki khushi hai, ke tumhe humare bache ko hone ka dard se guzarna nahi mera. Iss liye mujhe uss bhagwan se itni shikiyat nahi hai ke uss ne tumhe sab kuch buliya", he said catching her hand in his. He went on talking to her, sometimes tears pouring down his cheeks, sometimes a small playing on his lips as he spoke about their beautiful moments, he didn't realize when he drifted to sleep, catching her hand in his. And resting his head on top.
Hours flew by the sun had come up hours back, Karthik was in a peaceful slumber, he had drifted into a world where his Naira was his. He felt some movement under his head, he got up, he looked at her hand moving. He called for the doctor. The doctors came in to check on her and asked him to go out for a while. The other family members had come by than, he told them that Naira gained conscience and doctor's were checking her.
Naira turned her head the other way, the nurse noticed her looking at Karthik.
"Woh bahut pyaar karte hai aapse", the nurse told her.
"Samajh gayi hun ab phele nahi samajh payi", Naira replied smiling
"Puri raat woh apke pass tha", the nurse told her and her eyes filled with tears.
"Nurse kya mein usse mil sakti hun", she asked.
The doctor came out and told everyone that Naira was fine and told Karthik that Naira was asking for him.
"Karthik", Naira called out as she saw him entering, she tried to get up but slipped, Karthik ran to her and made her sit up
"Finally main samajh gayi, samajh gayi that I love you", she said holding him and looking at him in the eye both their eyes filled with tears.
"Kya", he asked just to make sure he heard right.
"I love you", she said kissing his temple
"I love you", she said again kissing his shut eyes
"I love you", she said a third time, kissing his cheeks
"I love you the most", she said closing her eyes and bringing her lips closer to his.
"I love you too", he said before their lips touched and Naira opened her eyes and looked into his which were filled with love, she hugged him tight burying herself in his chest.
"Main ne humesha se tum se pyaar kiya, main humesha se tumhari thi", she whispered in his ears, shocking him a bit making him wonder what she meant, did she remember their past he wondered.
"Kya matlab", he asked
"Yehi ke pyaar toh main ne humesha tum se kiya tha magar aaj samjh gayi", she replied
"Haan, tum humesha se meri thi", he answered and Naira nodded positively, not realizing that the way Karthik meant it was different from the way she meant it.
She might not remember their old moments but now their was a whole life time to make new ones.
