Thank you so much for the response. A small request to the newbies, you guys have 25 posts a day, I don't want you to waste them on asking me for a quick update, honestly I feel happy that you love the story, and trust me I am trying to make it fast as possible, but I need to think before writing, I don't want posting a part and then regretting it, thinking Oh it should have been like that, or realize I forgot to add an important bit. But I will be as quick as I can.
So two things, one Naira and Karthik have one year age gap, they were seventeen and eighteen respectively at their first meet. Gayu in my story is not attached to the Singhania's much, she lives in Mumbai and Rashmi and Sameer are very much alive. People who like Vivan and Gayu can assume she is married to him. Readers who can stand her a bit, well just assume she doesn't exist at all.
So here's the next part.

Chapter 4
Flashback continues
Breaking the hug the middle aged woman looked at Karthik in the eye.
"Karthik", she whispered after a couple of seconds and he nodded his head positively in response, tears streamed down her face and she wrapped her hands around him.
"Tanvi beta yeh kaun hai", Negi uncle asked
"Kaka yeh mera beta hai, mera karthik", the lady replied while side hugging her son.
"Ma'am aap ne batiya nahi apka ek beta hai", Naira asked
"Kyun har baath batani zarori hoti hai, tumhe har baath janni kyun hai", Karthik replied as he noticed his mother getting tensed
"Karthik Tina bas karo, mile hue do minute nahi hue hai dono ko do baar jhagda kar chuke ho, aisa na ho ke ek dusre se jhagda kiye bina tum zindagi na guzar pao", Tanvi replied
"Mujhe iss mendak ki adaat, Haan shayad iske sapno mein", Naira replied turning her face away with a huff
"Yeh mendaki meri life ka hissa, now way", Karthik replied with the same haughtiness.
"Mein mendak nahi hun", Naira replied irritated
"Haan tum toh sherni ho, logon ko nochti ho aur kha jati ho", Karthik replied back
"Haan hun isssliye mujh se dur raho warna tumhe bhi kha jaungi", she answered back
"Karthik jao andar jao, Tina tum bhi, aur andar ja kar phir se ladna shuru mat karna", Tanvi ordered the two.
"Maa sari ladiyan iss ne shuru ki Maine kuch nahi kiya", Karthik complained and turned to leave.
"Mendak kahika jab dekhe tar tar tar", Naira exclaimed irritated
"Kya kaha", Karthik turned again to face Naira
"Enough", Tanvi called out.

"Uss din maine kabhi nahi socha jo maa ne kaha woh saach hoga", Karthik spoke with a smile, Akshara knew the scene was playing infront of his eyes as he spoke.

Flashback starts
"Maa mein ganga ghat ja raha hun", Karthik called out to his mother as he left.
"Rukko beta, Ghat arti will start in a while, it will be very crowded, it is better you go with Tina she always goes there with Pungi at these times, she knows the place well.", Tanvi told him.
"I am not a kid, it is not like I would get lost if I went alone", Karthik spoke irritated with the fact that his mother was asking him to take that sherni with him to guide him.
"I know you aren't but it is your first time there and it would be crowded know that's all", Tanvi exclaimed as she saw her son sulk
"I won't get lost, I don't want to take her, I don't want to go with her, I don't need her", Karthik said frustrated
"Ya but you might fall in the river and drown, not like I mind but tum ma'am ke bete ho badkismati se, aur agar tumhe kuch hoga, woh toot jayegi", Naira spoke in between.
"I wouldn't drown, I can swim", Karthik shot back.
"The waves aren't very calm these days, especially during the evenings, I don't think you would be able to", Naira spoke with a smirk
"I could", Karthik said uncertain, he wasn't a very good swimmer but he couldn't let her win.
"Stop. You three (Naira, Karthik, Pungi) go together or don't go at all. All your safety is my responsibility.", Tanvi told them sternly, Pungi blew her whistle in agreement and both of them looked at Kaira for some response.
"Let's go", they responded together, making the other two smile.

"Kitni ajeeb baat hai uss din maine apni zindagi ka sab se bada jhoot bola, bina soche samjhe, I told that I didn't want her, that I didn't need her that I wouldn't get lost without her", he laughed at bit but that seized in seconds after that a flood of tears, couple of minutes of quiet he wiped the streaming tears and continued, "maybe he took me too seriously", Karthik said looking towards heaven. "But I didn't mean it, not in this way", the tears were back again. " I want her, I need her, I am lost without her", he continued sobbing and buried his face in his hands as he repeated his last line multiple times over and over again.
Akshara looked at him tears streaming down her own eyes. No one had been looking at each other in the eye, it was heart breaking seeing Naira's condition, awkward to get to know Naira was married, shocked to know that Naitik knew, it was a mix of emotions, it was weird and here weird was in a bad way. No one was actually talking to each other, she began wondering what was going on in their head, but one thing was for sure, they were all very close to her and Karthik and over hearing their conversation, not a conversation exactly, Karthik's narration, that was clear because of the tears or sadness in their eyes that they failed to mask.
"Just a couple of hours, then she will be awake and be with all of us", Naksh spoke keeping a hand on Karthik's shoulders.
"That's all I want, for her to be with all of you, I don't want my memories in her head I just want her to be there, to know that she is living and living a happy life", he said revealing his tear stained face from behind his palm, but still not turning to look at Naksh in the eye.
