Director's Kut's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the longest running show on Star Plus goes back to its roots in terms of flavour and presentation. Five years back, the story of the show was initiated with an extensive shoot schedule in Udaipur where the protagonist Akshara (Hina Khan) was introduced along with her family.

And now, after a successful journey of five years, the unit of Yeh Rishta went back to Udaipur to capture the same flavour, the difference being that this time around, the story will revolve around the protagonists, Akshara and her husband Naitik (Karan Mehra).

Talking about their recent outdoor schedule in Udaipur, Producer Rajan Shahi told Tellychakkar.com, "It was a great experience to shoot at the same places where Yeh Rishta was shot initially. We never had any outdoor schedules for Yeh Rishta post the Udaipur shoot which we had in the initial episodes of the show. The entire unit had pleasant memories, especially Hina Khan who gave her first shot for the show at Udaipur five years back (smiles)."

The unit has just returned from a three day schedule in Udaipur. The team of Yeh Rishta shot the Gangaur festival in style, which happens to be one of the colourful festivals in Rajasthan. Also, the story will see a major high in the relationship of Akshara and Naitik.

Talking about the track shot in Udaipur, Rajan Shahi said, "Well, the romance between Akshara and Naitik will take to a new level, something that the viewers have not seen in these five years. The track in Udaipur will also have its share of dramatic twists, with an intrigue element being played upon. You will have to watch the episodes to know more about it. All I can say is that 'romance will be the flavour' for the next few episodes and we have shot a romantic song between Naitik and Akshara in the beautiful locales of Udaipur."

The episodes shot at Udaipur will start airing from tonight (15 April 2013).
