I dream of celebrating the birth of my own bundle of joy soon, but at the same time I'm also very scared.
After getting the good news, I was overjoyed but at the same time I was anxious and tense due to my previous experience. I have to thank Naitik and the rest of the family for being my pillar of strength. Everyone has been taking a lot of care of me and Gayatri Ma does not allow me to do any work at all and simply wants me to rest. She was upset when she found out that I was visiting the same gynecologist who treated me during my previous pregnancy but we somehow managed to convince her that the doctor is well reputed and experienced. I know everyone is equally excited about my pregnancy and I pray that everything works out fine this time.
Friends, at this point, I would like to state that having faced a miscarriage earlier, I know the value of a child. I feel sad when I read in newspapers about women who are blessed with the good fortune of conceiving a child but are shunning their female babies. I feel lucky to be born in a family where I have been given equal opportunities and pampered as much as my brothers, if not more. I now realize that not all children are so fortunate and blessed. Here, I would like to thank God for blessing me with loving and caring parents as well as in-laws. What matters most to me is a healthy baby be it a girl or boy -and Naitik too agrees.
I feel so good with all the joy around me; I just hope things continue to be this way. Last week, too, was filled with celebrations of Teej and Raksha Bandhan. I decided not to visit my parental home for Teej but I know that my family must have understood my situation as Naitik was unwell and Gayatri Ma was upset that Rashmi could not come home. I could not leave her alone at such a time. Gayatri Ma noticed that I was missing my family and invited them to celebrate Teej with us, which was a very sweet gesture on her part.
I was touched when during the celebrations; Gayatri Ma expressed her desire that I become a mother soon. It seems like God heard her and here I am today expecting my bundle of joy.
Even Raksha Bandhan was fun, like always I tied Rakhi to my three loving brothers Bhola bhaiya, Shaurya dadu and Anshu. Naitik and I also visited Rashmi at her in-laws place. It really felt good meeting Rashmi and Naitik was happy to see his kid sister too.
There was this incident, I recall, when we were visiting Rashmi's house. Naitik and I spotted a poor beggar woman with a small child knocking on the window of our car. I can't tell you how bad I felt when I saw the child in tattered clothes and such a filthy condition. I immediately handed over some money to the woman along with a basket of fruits. I felt so good when Naitik understood my feelings and did not protest though the fruits were meant for Rashmi and her in-laws. I feel so lucky to have such an understanding husband.
Friends, please pray that things continue to be as good as they currently are for me and my family. I would also love to know how you celebrated Teej, Raksha Bandhan and Janmashtami. So do write in to me at akshara@starplus.in

I love your look, the eyeshadow, make your pretty eyes even more beautiful .I was just curious about what product you use and is there any suggestion of applying make up specially shadows which can help me .I really want my eyes look beautiful .I would be so glad if u help me in this concern. Thanks
Akshara- Hi Ononno, Thank you for all the lovely compliments. My suggestion is that you should use trusted brands when it comes to makeup and not risk harming your skin. As for eye shadow, choose a color that compliments your complexion and I am sure you will look great. Do not use too much makeup as it is not good for the skin, use it only when necessary. Lastly do not forget to smile as it adds to your beauty.
