GEC Watch: Five Colors' shows in top 10; Sony gains

STAR Plus, while still the No. 1 Hindi general entertainment channel, has lost share in Week 30, as per TAM Media Research data. The channel's relative share has declined by two percentage points to 24 per cent (C&S, 4+, HSM) in the latest week. The channel has lost 33 GRPs over Week 29.

Colors, at No. 2, has gained two percentage points and has a relative share of 23 per cent. It has recorded 312 GRPs in the latest week. Five of its shows are also among the 10 most watched shows on Hindi GECs.

Zee's share has also declined from 19 per cent to 17 per cent in Week 30, though the channel remains at No. 3. Sony, meanwhile, has seen a rise in relative share to 12 per cent. The No. 4 channel has recorded 162 GRPs.

SAB is at No. 5 and has maintained its 7 per cent share. Imagine TV follows with a relative share of 6 per cent, while STAR One has garnered a 5 per cent share. Sahara One, DD1 and STAR Utsav have garnered a 2 per cent share each.

On the list of top 10 programmes, Balika Vadhu is at the No. 1 spot with a high TVR of 6.9, thanks to the show's new face being unveiled in Week 30. Uttaran, also on Colors, is at No. 2 and has recorded a TVR of 6; followed by Pavitra Rishta on Zee, which has garnered a TVR of 5.8.

This is followed by Pratigya and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on STAR Plus, which have got TVRs of 4.9 and 4.8, respectively. The other shows in the top 10 are Bidaai on STAR Plus; Chak Dhoom Dhoom, Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Na Aana Is Des Laado on Colors; and Dance India Dance Li'l Masters on Zee.
