Audiences' favourite Akshara Singhania has won two awards - Best Beti and Patni - at the 10th STAR Parivaar Awards. This is her second consecutive year winning two awards. Last year, she won the award for Best Bahu and Naya Sadasya. She credits her success to God, her Singhania family and hard work and patience. We spoke to Akshara to find out her reaction on her double win.

Tell us about your performance at SPA?
Overall, the two performance was well appreciated by the audiences. Out of the two, one was live and I had done it for the first time.When I saw my family, my nervousness had gone and after the performance everyone appreciated my dance.

So have you befriended the leading ladies from other shows?
Yes, all the STAR Plus shows' leading ladies are my professional friends. Even Sara and Parul Chauhan are my professional friends though no one is my best buddy in the industry.

Who according to you was your strongest competition at SPA?
I never thought that there is any competition because I have never looked at it that way, though I had competition with Parul and Sara as both are good actresses. For me, my work is more important which I will do with full commitment.

How is Yeh Rishta... special to you?
It's very close to me because from this show, I have got the love of two families Maheshwari and Singhania. I am happy that the show is still loved and everyone loves Akshara. I am thankful to the team of the show and Rajan Sir for giving me this character.

During the awards ceremony, Tulsi praised Akshara, so what you would like to say about that, after the awards did you meet Tulsi and Parvati?
Tulsi (Smriti Irani) made my day by appreciating my work and she loves Akshara and I think it is one of the biggest compliment I ever got and that too from my idol Smriti Irani.

Who do you credit your success to?
God, my family and my hard work and patience.
