GEC Watch: STAR Plus maintains peak position; Colors slips

As per TAM Media Research data (C&S, 4+, HSM), STAR Plus has maintained its top position as the No. 1 general entertainment channel (GEC) in Week 14 by garnering 325 GRPs and a channel share of 24 per cent. Colors, at No. 2, has shown a decline in its GRPs compared to Week 13. The channel has lost 3 GRPs and has collected 278 GRPs in Week 14, with a channel share of 21 per cent.
Zee TV and Sony, at No. 3 and No. 4 spots respectively, have shown an increase in their GRPs. Zee has acquired a share of 21 per cent with 275 GRPs, while Sony has jumped 24 GRPs to gain 151 GRPs and a channel share of 11 per cent in Week 14.
At No. 5, Imagine has registered 99 GRPs and a share of 7 per cent. SAB has maintained its status quo at No. 6; it has garnered 6 per cent share with 75 GRPs.
In Week 14, STAR One has acquired a share of 4 per cent. Sahara One and DD1 have 2 per cent each, while STAR Utsav has 1 per cent share.
In the list of Top 10 programmes, Uttaran has become the most watched programme in Week 14 by recording a TVR of 6.4. Pavitra Rishta is at No. 2 with a TVR of 6.1. With TVRs of 5.5, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are at No. 3. Bidaai at No.5 has fetched a TVR of 5.1.
The other programmes in the Top 10 list are Balika Vadhu, Pratigya, Na Aana Is Des Lado, Jhansi Ki Rani and Chhoti Bahu.
