Interesting thought, Nishita...I only hope that there is no finger pointing at Akshara if Naitik does rebel...this has to be handled carefully...
Anjali, Naitik knows how to deal with his family. He has been getting his way since childhood. They give in to every demand of his irrespective of their own belief (e.g. job vs karobaar). So it is not a big deal for him to take daddaji's permission for the movie or anything else for that matter. It is not the same for Akshara...she is new to the family. She is trying her level best to adjust to the new surrounding and the family is not exactly kind to her. They may be sweet to her at times but there have been occassions where they have treated her like an outsider (e.g. nandini issue...not once did anybody ask Akshara what she said to Nandini..they blindly believed a servant). Not only did they suspect her but they were treating her like she had committed a sin. My heart went out to Akshara when she tried explaining her stand to Naitik. It must have been like hell to be amidst such people (the scene where bhabhima starts complainign to daddaji abt akshara but stops as soon as akshara came in...) is an example. Akshara has been telling Naitik that if anything does go wrong she will be blamed and not him..i dont think he has taken her that seriously. He still does his manmaani (which is very cute) but it lands Akshara into trouble.
Regarding the controlling bit...daddaji is a control freak. They are showing more and more of that these days...He likes to keep everything and everybody under his nose. Naitik didnt mind it all this earlier coz like i said before knows to get his way out but it is difficult for akshara. Going by her character, she will not object (she is such a darling). The problem will arise when daddaji starts objecting to things involving both of them....i feel naitik may start objecting...or for that matter like charu said when akshara starts putting her wishes forward. The elders need to let go...nobody is running away. I hope the story shapes up in a nice way so that we get to see how Naksh manage this aspect of their married life.
