They waited patiently for two hours and the doctor came out soon after. He had a smile on his face and patted Naitik who was looking strangely upset on the back. He asked Naitik not to worry and told him that Akshara is perfectly all right and the surgery went fine. Naitik and the rest of them, heaved sighs of relief and thanked the doctor. Naitik was so happy that he hugged the doctor and literally cried. Doctor asked him to relax and told them that they can meet Akshara only after 6-7 hours, as he wants her to sleep for that much time. Everyone left except Naitik who waited outside the ward. Soon, he dozed of.
He was waken up by the doctor when the rest of the family members arrived in the evening. Everyone went inside the room to see Akshara. They circled around her bed and the doctor slowly woke her up. The opened her eyes to see the doctor asking her whether she was fine and Akshara nodded saying yes and that her forehead pains a bit. Doctor said that the pain was due to the stitch and it would go off soon. He asked Akshara who the people standing around her bed were? She first looked at Vishambar and said "bauji", and then one by one she recognized everyone from her family. After them she saw Naitik and his family members. They were smiling at her. She looked at the doctor who asked, who those people were? Akshara looked at Naitik blankly………………………..
