I find it a little bit of being too hasty upon badi maa's part to find akshi a boy just b/c of alokh...

Akshi is a beautiful girl, ladke nahin toh phir ladkiyon uska peecha karenge? seriously, i wish there was more trust for akshi on badi maa's part, i expected more from her

Well, I thought it was consistent with her characterization so far for her to want her only daughter to get married now she knows there is someone after her....

Akshara has been protrayed as a very sheltered and overly protected young girl....and badi maa has come across as a typical mother who worries about how her masoom jawan beti will cope with the harsh real world from the very first episode.....

Also, keep in mind that this is a very strict and traditional family...it makes sense for them to want to marry off their daughter now that she is of age and has a guy chasing her...

She may think that Alok is just the start of it all...what if other guys want to make a move on her daughter.....I think in this case, badi maa's fears for her daughter holds more weight for her than her trust in her daughter....as in, she may fully trust her daughter but just doesn't trust all the guys in the world, y'know....?

that's the thing some mothers just don't know how to trust their daughters which is very bad cause if I live with someone and have know them all their lives then I trust them more than anything no matter what not the outsiders.

i agree Akshi's mother should trust her daughter not to find a boy 4 her just because of Alok Akshi is a pretty girl & thats true if boys see a pretty girl somewhere they do follow them & i think Akshi's mother trust her daughter not someone else

I agree that there should be more trust from badi ma..But I guess that its just a mother instinct that she has..Once the Alok incident has happened, she wants Akshara to be happily married..
