I really really want to see Sid Karthik bond so.wrote this.

He sat with a drink on a nearby table all alone and looked at the stage where ceremonies were going. Anushka and Vedant's engagement. He sighed and took a sip from his drink. He was visibly doubtful about everything that was going on. Anushka seemed to smile but he could read the sadness in her eyes.
He dismissed his thoughts thinking that was being unreasonable and there was absolutely nothing wrong with this alliance. Vedant seemed to a decent guy. Yes, he had just had a huge unnecessary fight with his wife but that had nothing to do with her brother.
"Anu yaar, itni kya jaldi thi decision lene ki? Aaraam se Vedant ko samajhti pehle" Karthik thought to himself.
Karthik wasn't happy in his married life and he definitely did not want the same to happen with his twin sister. The thing that was bugging him the most was Vedant's oversweet nature. He always reminded him of Nupur, afterall he was her brother.
He had tried talking to Anushka this morning and she seemed concrete on her decision, not ready to hear anything. She sounded like a taperecorder saying the same thing again and again without any feelings.
He thought he'd talk to his Appa about it but he couldn't. For bringing up this topic, he needed to talk about the turbulence in his life for which he wasnt ready. He sipped his drink looking at the proceedings trying to clear the clouds of negative thoughts in his mind.

That was all Siddhant could take. He had been doing all the arrangement for today's ceremony and now when the final moment was here he couldn't muster the courage to face her. He couldn't afford to cry infront of her, hence found his escape on the terrace.
He finally let his tears flow when he was sure he was all alone. He drank his alcohol in one go and cried for his love, his morning conversation with Anushka playing in his head.
Morning:
Siddhant was making all the arrangements when Anushka spotted him.
"Siddhant" she called him out. Sid pretended that he did listen and kept himself engrossed in his work. She moved towards him and faced.
"Tumne toh mujhe congratulations bhi nahi bola Siddhant?" She said directly looking into his eyes.
"Vo.. hum.. Hume time nahi mila" he said, immediately lowering his eyes.
"Toh ab keh do"
"Congratulations Anushka" he said hesitating and forwarded his hand for a handshake.
"Thankyou Siddhant. Aakhir tumhari wajah se hi toh ye sab possible hua hai. Tumne hi toh saare tips diye the Vedant ko mujhe 'pataane' ke liye " she said stressing on the last line.
That was the conversation that he had been avoiding since last 2 days. He did not know what to answer so he kept mum.
"Badi jaldi thi na tumhe mujhse peecha chudane ki. Lo tumhari saari problems solve kardi maine. Tum chahte the na main Vedant se shaadi karu? To lo haan bol dia maine usko. Tumhare liye. Ab toh khush ho na Siddhant? Tumhare raaste ka roda nikal gaya" she said and tears made their way through her eyes.
She did not wait for his response and ran away.
"Tere paas aane mein aadhi umr guzri hai.
Aadhi umr guzregi tujhse duur jaaney mein. he said and wiped away his tears.

Present:
The pain was unbearable now. His life was getting snatched away from him. Or rather he himself let his life go away from him. He took out the cowbell from his pocket and looked at it lovingly.
"Anushka hume tumhari khushi ke siva aur kuch nahi chahiye" he said as he kept the cowbell in a box and put vedant's name on it.
His phone rang and it was Sweety Ji.
"Bauji kahan ho? Anushka ji aapko pooch rahi hai kabse"
"Hum nahi aaenge Sweety ji. Yahaan terrace par hai, aap Anushka ko bol dijiye hum ghar chale gaye " he said and cut the call.
Tears pooled in his eyes and he gulped down alcohol directly from the bottle. He felt a hand on shoulder.
"Humne kaha na Sweety Ji hum nahi aaege. Nahi dekh paaenge usko aise kisi aur ka hote huye. Apne aansu nahi chhupa paenge uss se. Aise uske saamne aa gaye toh pata chal jaaega usko ki hum us se kitna pyaar karte hai aur fir vo kabhi vedant se shaadi nahi karegi" he said crying without looking back.
"Siddhant?? " Karthik said with shock with Sid turned around with a jerk.
"Tum yahaan? " He asked hesitating praying that Karthik did not hear him.
"Tum Anu se pyaar karte ho?" Karthik was still in a shock.
Siddhant did not want to lie anymore so he nodded in a yes.
"Hum toh uss se bachpan se pyaar karte hai. But hum jaante hai hum uske layaak nahi hai. Tum please usko kuch mat batana.. Vo sehen nahi kar paegi" he said as tears flowed from his eyes.
Karthik did not know what to say.
"Anu bhi tumse pyaar karti hai?" He asked.
"Nahi, vo humse pyaar nhi karti." Sid lied.
"Tumhe Vedant accha ladka lagta hai Siddhant?" Karthik asked him very genuinely as both of them sat on the terrace floor.
"Aisa kyun puch rahe ho? Tumhe nahi pasand?" Sid asked.
"Patanahi yaar! Mujhe kuch samajh me nahi aarha. Sab itni jaldi ho gaya. Anu ke sath vo nahi hona chahiye jo mere saath hua" Karthik blurted out.
"Tumhare saath hua?" Siddhant asked shocked. Karthik sighed.
"Yaar maine kisi ko bataya nahi hai but mere aur Nupur ke beech sab theek nahj hai" Karthik said sadly and told everything about his equation with Nupur.
"Main nahi chahta Anu ke sath aisa ho. Itni kya jaldi hai shaadi ki. Vedaant bhi Nupur ki tarah hua toh. Anu kehti hai ki vo jaanti hai Vedant ko par mujhe pata hai usne haan sirf appa ke liye bola hai" Karthik sighed.
For the first time Siddhant doubted on what he had done.
"Maine Vedant ko haan bola kyunki tum chahte the. Tumhare liye" Anushka's words flashed in Sid's mind.
He felt he was being selfish. Just to keep Anushka away from himself he had forced Vedant's alliance on her. He too didnt know Ved well and Karthik made him doubt on him now.
"Siddhant? Kahan kho gaye?" Karthik brought him.out of his reverie.
"Tum theek keh rahe ho Karthik. Ye sab itna jaldi nahi hona chahiye. Tum chinta mat karo hum Anushka ko kabhi kuch galat hone nahi denge. Hum pata karte hai Vedant ke baare me" Siddhant said and stood up.
"Tumne kabhi Anu ko kyun nahi bataya ki tum us se pyaar karte ho? " Karthik asked.
Suddenly Rao came and informed them that Pandit said today isn't a good day and ceremony cannot be done today. So they have shifted the dates. And KK was calling Siddhant downstairs.
Both Siddhant and Karthik smiled at each other. Siddhant was going down when he turned back and hugged Karthik.
"Don't worry tumhara aur Nupur ka sab solve ho jaega. Aur Anushka ko toh kuch hum hone nahi denge, vo humesha khush rahegi" Sid said as he went away.
" Anu toh humesha khush rahegi Siddhant but kiske saath vo main ab jaanta hu" Karthik smiled at the retreating figure.
