Hello friends,
A very realistic and YPNTKH specific method to sureshot increase our ranking..
Firstly let's analyze our weaknesses wherein we cannot really do much.
1. Buzz points
We really can't do much on this front as it's not directly in our hands.
For instance, Bepannah gets 108 (no 1 rank on IF) and Silsila badalte whatever gets 125 points (one rank below us) and all this is because of star power. Among the top 9 ranked shows, we have got the least buzz points (a paltry 14) in spite of the last week having been a bumper week for us by way of buzz.
Conclusion: WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS REALLY except for commenting when we do get buzz which we do in any case the enthusiastic and committed lot that we are.
2. Followers
We really can't do much on this front either since ours is not an established fandom and we cannot compete with fandoms of established actors. YUDKBH has done exceptionally on this front given that it also lacks an established fandom but it only has 63 points more than us (we have 70 followers). Bepannah gets 228 points for instance. We are on the lower side when we compare ourselves with other serials.
Conclusion: WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING MUCH ABOUT THIS REALLY except for trying to increase visibility of our serial and spread the word around generally or make very exciting comments hoping to attract more viewership but this is not guaranteed and so we cannot really count on this..
Now let's analyze our strengths wherein what we can actually do is mindboggling and can take us far far far ahead in this race..
1. Rating in other words the Chaska Meter or CM
This is entirely in our hands and we have been doing an amazing job on this front as compared to the other shows. In fact we are beating shows ahead of us hollow on this front Except for Bepannah (345 points) and YUDKBH (329) we have left every other show far behind with our 288 points.
If each committed member of this forum makes sure that they hit the CM 20 times a day (but making sure they do it after logging out and logging in or every time they access the forum for the first time even if they are signed in), you can't even imagine how crazy our total points will work out to!!! And trust me our ranking will be right at the very top.
Conclusion: PLEASE PLEASE 20 TIMES CM HITTING PER DAY MINIMUM. Of course people like me and Harshi will do much much more.
2. Views and Activity
This is another front where we have done exceptionally well and the only 2 shows ahead of us are Bepannah and YUDKBH especially on the activity front since views are also linked to the number of followers. For activity we have scored 73 as compared to 84 for YUDKBH and 175 for Bepannah.
Conclusion: We need to create on an average 10 to 15 LT threads per day and other activities such as VMs, polls, fan fiction, etc., things that we are already doing but let's increase our activity.
General conclusion: If we do the CM especially which is such an easy thing to do and are disciplined at least about our LT threads, we will go places at least on the IF forum.
