Hey guys, thanks for the response you gave me for my previous chapter. So here goes chapter 2, and forgive me for my mistakes cause I am to lazy to read through again😛
Well this chapter is kinda small and you might find it going a little slow, I promise to give you a better one next time😊
Chapter 2: Just Friends
"Who's the boy?" My mom grinned.
Slowly the grin turned it into a big smile, "Come on, is he my future son in law?"she said teasing me.
"Amma, you've gotta be kidding me, I'm only fifteen and I just met him" I said rolling my eyes.
"Come on Anu! You know all about my history" she said, I placed a kiss on her cheek and said "Amma, you're my best friend and I will pakka tell you if there was something".
Well I know my mom tries her best to be the best mom, but I knew that some where inside she just has the confidence that I wouldn't have to tell her anything.
I took the remote and switched the TV on.
"What were you guys talking about?" My younger brother Karthik asked sitting next to me. "None of your business" I said watching TV, he snatched the remote from me, "This is my business" he said holding the remote and giggling . "Hey!" I said. And as usual we fought like Tom and Jerry and my mom came and stopped us and we both got into trouble.
Before I knew it the night passed by, and trust me the one thing I never struggled with was choosing what to wear, I would just put on whatever I would find, but today I tried so many tees and not one I was satisfied with. I hit my head and told myself "Duffer! You aren't dressing up for anyone okay?" I put on something, but I still made sure I looked better than okay.
I got my lunch and my bag and took a
lift down, and I told myself 'No expectations' I walked towards the main gate, he stood there, he looked so hot in that white shirt and it kinda seemed like he was smiling and looking right towards me, I took a second to look behind because I wasn't sure he was looking at me. No one was there. I smiled and walked towards him.
"So...how was your day?" He asked.
"Well if you remember I spent my day at school" I said giggling.
"I didn't mean that...I meant after you went home" he said trying to correct himself.
I smiled and said "Well the day just ran, yours?"
Before he said anything, the bus came.
"Great! We better go in then" he said, "After you" he smiled at me. "What a gentleman" I said giggling.
I went in, the three seater behind the driver had two seats free, I went and sat there. He came and sat next to me. Guess what? The three seater didn't seem much like one, it was like
a two and a half seater. We just squeezed in.
"So are you dating someone?" He asked me out of blue.
"Nah" I replied. He nodded.
"You?" I asked him. "Yeah I am" he said, and my heartbeat just dropped. What? Are you serious? That's why you have to keep your gossip intact stupid girl I thought to myself.
"Her name is Shreya, know her?" He asked me, and it just broke my thoughts, "Nope" I said, "How long have you been together?" I asked to make sure that I didn't look visibly disappointed.
"Oh it's been like 3 years" he said smiling, it clearly looked like he really liked his girlfriend. "Wait! You guys started dating when you were thirteen" I asked, cause thirteen is a little young, not to be less progressive but I can't help thinking.
"Yeah, I know it sounds silly, but we would just hold hands and talk, now..." I shut him before he said anything, "I don't wanna know" I said giggling and turning away. He laughed too.
This guy was head over heels in love with her, the way he spoke about her. And what was I thinking, he still kept the bill of the first place they went for a date in his wallet. He was so sweet and so taken, Uhh! And god you had to make me meet him. I guess we will turnout to be great 'just' friends.
