It's definitely for or to raise above infront of Anu...but somewhere I would say it's his inferiority complex that's making him to act this way...😊

I feel that he did what he did to keep his word to anushka that he would save her brother even if it meant killing himself in the process and because he is hurt that she doesn't trust him any more.

I really feel that he did it entirely for her and out of pique and hurt.

He understood in any case that the only incriminating evidence was the cocaine pouch and that the only way of keeping his word was to make it not incriminating.

I would like to believe this because I am a die-hard romantic deep down I guess though not very proud of this fact hahahaha
