She was very much in favor of Rashmi and Madhav's wedding in spite of her being from the same orthodox Brahmin family as dadi and TN. Though she doesn't get to open up as much and I respect her for that, I am thinking she would eventually support Abheer in getting married to Leher after initial resistance.
May be that was a bit too much of positiveness from my side for Sudha's character 😊

Even i think she eventually will support AbHer😊And agree with you she is the most balanced one in the bajpayee family and the only one who understands her son.

@ kimpan,
You are totally right about Sudha. Just compare her with Shuklain. Abeer ate egg right in front of her eyes. but Sudha is able to understand 'why' he did that, and is able to reason with him. She is explaining to him that more than that ritual with fish, it was more important to get the marriage done.
Shuklain on the other hand, saw Madhav and a bit of fish nearby and created hell! She didn't ask her son what happened, didn't hear him out, yelled at him and has probably killed something inside that young man!
Sudha and Shuklain are poles apart... me also thinks Sudha will eventually accept Leher. Abeer did not promise his mom he will marry whoever she chooses. All he said was 'whether the girl is chosen by me or by you, I will marry only after you say yes'! That's a very important dialogue and that already tells us something!

@tvrasika, Abheer is very clever , his promise was a totally thought through one😆
Exactly! Sudha has a very cool composure so unlike a typical mom ya, no offense I just mean moms usually get emotional easily when concerned with their kids, any parent for that matter, look at TN's reaction.
Shuklain's is a total different story, some one plz wake her up, no wonder Madhav has such a low self esteem. Tomoro we will be forced to see a greater emotional drama from her! god help us!

But Also moms understand how young ones feels especially sons..But father sons butt heads...Trust MOI I know what I am talking abt...Mother of 2 sons 😳😃

I can see-understand why Madhav's self esteem is so low and cowardly personality when he was raised practically in this sort of environment... No wonder he ran off to America and came after 10 yrs 😳 Damage is done big time...And father does not seem to be the best role model type to MOI...

guys, just want to say lalla rota hua bilkul acha nahi lagta. the way he was crying while eating the egg and looking at his mom, it was heart wrenching. (GK and Aishwarys ji did wonderful job, no doubt) I don't think Abeer should be blamed for this fiasco. he was only trying to help madhav and his intentions were good. TN should have understood what Abeer was saying. he should be proud that he has a son who has the courage to say openly what is right and what is wrong.
I agree everyone did fantastic acting today but i got sad after watching today's episode.

TN did what a lot of parents who do not communicate with their children do!
He assumed that his point of view of was right and reacted instintively when he felt his "well brought up" son was questioning / debasing the very basis of his identity. Because TN draws a lot of his identity from who he is - his khandaan and his "superior" biradri - and Abeer questioned its validity and its right to command supremacy in the social heirarchy...
I have not watched some of the earlier episodes fully, but TN does not appear to have an open friendly relationship with his son unlike Leher and her dad. His interaction with his son is predicated on the assumption that he is the father and Abeer the son, so communication / behaviour must all be subject to the social mores (outdated for for most of us) that define this equation. So he is unable to deal with Abeer questioning him or his beliefs! He is as much a prisioner of his thinking as Abeer is of his outrage.
Abeer and his mom were fantastic in the egg scene. The rebel as he registers his symbolic protest against what he considers inhumane behaviour and outdated mores and a helpless mother torn between conflicting values, loyalty to her husband and her love for her son, as she witnesses the beginings of a storm that will leave her home broken asunder!

Today's episode was sad, really sad, but good (minus Shukla's scene). Gosh, TN is a typical father who puts his izzat and traditions above his son's tears. I hate it when parents remind their children that everything they have in life is because of them and if they take their last name away, they will have nothing left. And that this house belongs to the parents and you can be thrown out anytime if you make even a single mistake. For heaven sake, give some breathing space to your son, TN. Give him the space to make mistakes so that he can learn from them and not repeat them. Explain to him where he went wrong. If you trust your son, if you have given the right sanskaars, then your son will understand. These dhamkis wont help, in fact it will have quite the opposite effect, which happened today, they revolt. Thats why after a certain point you need to be friends with your children. I understand TN was mad thats why he said all this but yaar, dont give dhamkis to your children like this. It hurts. It feels as if you are doing business with them. TN has full rights to scold his son, but dont talk about disowning him if he made a mistake or if he for once did not do the right thing. It can have an extremely negative impact on the children.

Thats why I only wanted Sudha to handle Abheer right now. It was not the right time for TN to interfere. He could have never managed or understood Abheer. What Sudha said today at the end, she could have said it yesterday, had TN not interfered.

Today Sudha told Abheer exactly what I wanted her to tell him in private. Even Abheer understood at the end where he went wrong regarding this fish rasam. Like I said earlier, today was the marriage day and their 1 small mistake caused M-R marriage to break, though I am happy for Rashmi.

The egg eating part was so heart-breaking to see. Both mother and son were crying. Sudha understood Abheer so well. There is such a vast difference between Abheer-Sudha and Madhav-Shuklian relationship. Abheer is Abheer, all gutsy and stands up for the truth, only because of Sudha. His mother has brought him up perfectly, with right sanskaars. They both understand each other well. And Madhav is spineless because of his mother. Shuklian barely ever understood Madhav. If Madhav makes a mistake, instead of showing the right path to him, she is more likely to shed crocodile's tears or emotionally blackmail him. Sometimes to me, Shuklian's love for her son seems fake too. Madhav is more like his father, both spineless. Abheer is more like his mom, compassionate and loving. Sudha's priority is her son's happiness and Shuklian's priority is her fake izzat in the society, this is the biggest difference between both the mothers.

I want Shuklas to leave Bajpayee house AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I am sick and tired of Shuklian's drama. Precap seems worst. I was surprised that Madhav was leaving for the US even before Rashmi left Lucknow. What a fool. Atleast make sure that Rashmi and her parents leave Lucknow safely. This is the least he could do for her. I think their track will end by next week, thank god, and we will get our fun-loving Abheer back soon.

By the way, 1 article said that a girl from Madhav's past will enter the show soon. Well, I am thinking, what is the point now. M-R track is about to end. What more is left to show. Why introduce a new girl now.

Anyways, I hope the Sudha-Abheer scene continues tomorrow. I want more of them. I love their mother-son chemistry. Abheer can cry his heart out tomorrow in front of his mother and feel better and tell her sorry for hurting her by eating the eggs. Sudha understands and knows her son very well. She will forgive him even before he ask for forgiveness. After Abheer-Sudha scene, Abheer will be in a better state of mind in order to face Lehar.

Oh, and one last thing, I am so happy that only Sudha saw Abheer eating eggs. Sudha can manage her son. Had TN or dadi seen this, I cannot even imagine what would have happened. Thank god for this.
