It was a great epi Hina... or at least, good acting by GK! Didn't think him of capable of this (sorry, I havent seen any of his shows before, so wasn't sure he could pull it off).... GK portrayed that feeling of guilt and anger quite well... đ
TN was good too but his explanation was totally off...Yes, for pure vegetarians, a ritual involving fish would be hurting and offensive. But the point Abeer is trying to make, that insulting a girl's parents is equally wrong, is getting drowned because of the drama of the fish! That's why what Abeer's mom said is very true. It was foolish of the two boys to have undertaken that ritual in the first place. For those who eat fish and meat, it does not matter, but for those who don't it is a huge offense. Abeer and Madhav should have known that. Rashmi cannot be expected to know such things.
Many brahmans settled abroad, and even within India, probably eat meat in secret, without family knowing about it. In some cases, parents can guess. They are not stupid. But they follow a 'dont-ask-dont-tell' policy. As long as it is not done in front of you, you act like it is never done... Life goes on... That's what people do to maintain peace. It is hypocrisy and falsehood but truth is not always pleasant. The boys didn't understand this bit. Silly...
@ Fatima- welcome. Today, Abeer's dad yelled at him talking about the glory of Brahmans and what not and Abeer got more pissed. he went out and ate not one but two eggs. I didn't see the parts where Rashmi is about to leave. The last part had Abeer's mom chiding him for making a silly mistake which has cost a marriage! Madhav is preparing to go to US but his mom is about to immolate herself! (Madhav's mom needs to go for therapy). Why is she doing it in Abeer's house? đĄ
