Came to the forum to see a big uproar over aru's behaviour. Then I watched the episode and I don't get what the big deal was?
the joke was in poor taste, Aru should have clarified everything to mukhi because he was really upset. It was immature but since when was aru ever mature in the relationship department? This is a character flaw, again telling us that aru is still child. So much criticism but very few people commended her for thoughts regarding the "washrooms outdoors and how unsafe it is for women.
Aru grew up too fast. Instead of doing things girls her age do, she was forced to support her family because her father and her good for nothing sister were unable to. Then came mukhi. In him, she sees someone who will think about HER,who she can tease and who she can count on. Both of them find solace in each other, and she is the only person with whom she can let her guard down and act her age. Humans tend to reveal themselves in front of those they love the most, while they show a different side of themselves to the rest of the world. Same with aru, she is the mature, responsible and intelligent woman in front of the world but her childish self with her husband- because he is her solace. Same with mukhi, he is the leader of a village and responsible for his family, but he can think about himself around aru. Along with her, even he comes carefree and happy. Aru is childish, that is what he loves about her and despite her tantrums, he knows she is a wonderful woman who will always stand by him when it matters the most. I've heard that in a relationship of two people with an age difference, the older man is a lot more indulgent. Mukhi likes to pamper her and aru likes being spoilt with attention and love-which is why she throws tantrums. In the end though, she will always be there for him and love him with everything.
I agree aru is childish, she is flawed but that is what makes her relatable. The show is a love story, but to me, it is a coming of age story as well- Aru is slowly become a woman. Mukhi loves her with her quirks because she brings so much colour into his life, and he knows a good hearted person like her does not mean half of the things she says. I don't understand what she has done so terrible that mukhi should leave her, punish her or divorce her? Comparing her to a poisonous brat like dharmi is unfair. I can't believe that aru is considered as horrible as her bitchy sister- a girl who uses people as she pleases, cannot think of anyone but herself and a thief to boot.
I hope as the show progresses, aru and mukhi's love strengthens that they can continue building their relationship on solid grounds. Hopefully, aru will think twice before reacting but at the same time, never let go of her inner kid.
