Hi guys, remember me?

I was on a never-ending vacation and only came back about a week ago. I haven't been feeling well emotionally, so decided to stay quiet here. However I was meaning to write long post about the episodes but did not know what to write until now. So, here it is.

Let me just say that the creatives are slaying it with the recent episodes, I haven't seen a show this good in like...forever. I don't even have the right words to describe how good it is,hence the silence from my end. YMMKD is iconic in many aspects, in that it dealt with a subject which other indian glosses over. I'm talking about the intimacy between a couple, did any show touch on this subject as directly as YMMKD did?

Sex between a couple is as natural as arguing and disagreements between two people. Although indian television only likes to highlight the latter..It's very hard to believe that two people who are in love will not feel any kind of sexual attraction towards one another. It is a normal physical response and there is nothing inappropriate about it. I just hate how indian telly shies away from it, so I'm really proud of the creatives for dealing with it.

On other shows, consummation happens randomly without any prior discussion, but Aru and Mukhi discussed it openly first. This is so, so important and necessary but not emphasized enough. Contrary to popular opinion, marriage isn't a license to sex and couples should discuss all inhibitions and insecurities before going at it. I was not angry with aru for shunning mukhi or being afraid initially, because it was so realistic and I think many inexperienced women can relate to it. The argument seen here that she should not shun him because he is her husband is such a bogus thought, it highlights how the society has held women in a submissive light for centuries. It is ingrained in us to have such unrealistic expectations from women.

Yesterday's episode deals with the subject subtly but no so subtle that we don't understand what is happening. Eijaz and Niyati are such fine actors, the feelings come across beautifully on screen. The sexual attraction was so palpable, and so aesthetic that it blew me away. What was even more amazing, that a hindi serial dealt with it so openly. Like I've said, sexual tension is normal and is so is an individual's desire to have sex...especially with someone who you love very much.

I cannot say anything about the precap until i see it but I love the look of aru falling on mukhi and the curtain falling over them. Not sure how it will pan out but the scene of sun rising immediately, suggests something more may have happened. Perhaps a makeout session.

Oh Pom welcome back dear...
Was missing your views... Hope u r doing fine now..

Regarding the topic... Yes it has been dealt with nicely and openly in Moh Moh and it's apt and absolutely necessary in terms of showcasing such a love story... And very brave of producers and channel to do so at 7 pm slot...😆

Bt I found it subtly dealt with even in real life... Earlier it was all abt procreation and hence the subject was discussed openly in a family in that context only...

Bt wat abt personal desires.. it's a biologically ingrained thing and no one can runaway from it irrespective of the gender.. wen will b society educated enough to deal with it maturely and practically?

I m shocked to learn that some ppl here gave a reason that just bcoz aru is married and has confessed her love should be ready enuf to jump into the shack as well...🤔. Err that's definitely not how relationships based on maturity understanding and equality work... That's what mukhi has given aru and that's wat aru has always appreciated abt mukhi.. time and again mukhi has stressed that their relation is on equal grounds.. hence such kind of progression was kinda expected from armu

Bt Pom not every relation stands on equal footing or the partners involved claim for equal rights hence many ppl fail to understand this distinction... Many women r so set in there traditional submissive servile docile dependent role and mentally conditioned to such beliefs since childhood that's it really requires a thinking revolution to come out of this social dogma and see themselves and there daughters, bahus, mothers sisters in new light...

Can't tell u how my mil is tourturously conditioning her granddaughter, my hubby's niece, and her mother, my hubby's sister who is close to our age, is worse. And this is wen I term my mil as most progressive and educated of her lot..🤔. Imagine the situation with more traditional and conservative mils/families... Tho I m working on my mil to save my dearest niece.😆 (bcoz she has dangerous blind Faith on her Nani) can't help her mother and my sil tho bt I'm doing my bit..😆

Bt it's good to see that this show is prortraying the modern approach of today's relationships... the ideal kinda. It deserves all the kudos to this production house for their courageous moves in light of low trps..

Bt seriously this serial ain't meant for 7 pm time slot.. to b Frank.. I tried watching it with my in laws.. and I cudnt even watch spooning scene with my mil...😆 forget abt kissing scenes that too with my fil. In theaters it's okay coz we are in our own worlds.. on TV at home with family where in most homes it's either Pooja and/or cooking time its difficult to watch such romance and appreciate it whole heartedly..😆 the 7 pm slot can work with rubbish nonsensical shows coz u r just too busy to apply ur brain😆

This show is meant for urban viewers and for later time slot... Both for it's bold romance and modern relationship concepts which resonates more with young modern urban internet loving audiences.. which can understand appreciate and voice thr opinion uninhibitedly/unrestrainedly.. Its tough to crack the code of balancing stupidity/absurdity and progressiveness/thoughtfulness at this time slot..😆

Heyyy buddy! 😊 Hope you get well soon. Emotional illness is sometimes more difficult to go through than a physical illness. May you be blessed with happiness, love and whatever you are seeking.
Now coming to your post. Its beautiful! What you have stated is 100% right. I just want to add that sex is not the only thing that keeps a couple happy or together. i have seen couples having great sexual chemistry but once the passion cools off, they are back to serious kind of fights and what not. Aru is a very "living in the moment and planning for tomorrow" type of girl. Fast tracked, city bred, modern era girl but still she has her inhibitions and that is extremely normal. This is the first time she has ever been with a man,and she loves him to the core. She has taken major decisions on her own to be with him. She flirts with him, teases him-but that does not mean that she is ready for sex with him. Those type of feelings develop with time. They are definitely developing in Aru bibi's mind nowadays in the show... 😆
Mukhiji is a normal male but he is not sex-starved or bhooki aatma. True that he has been single like forever, and now that he has a beautiful sexy woman in his life, one would think that he would pounce on her. But no, he is a through and through gentleman! They had a very mature discussion about it and he very calmly and maturely tried to handle the situation and soothed his wife. That was something soo amazing to see in television as you have rightly said. It will stay with me forever. This show is simply amazing!
And you are right, Eijaz and Niyati are indeed excellent actors. They bring out the minor most details on the screen in the most beautiful manner! Love the cvs and whoever is writing this show too. I really hope this shows remains as good as it is in future as well. I really dont want it to become a never ending serial. I dont want any unnecessary dragging too. I hope they end the show in a year but dont start showing us crazy stuff that happens in other telly shows.
Hope to see more and more posts from you from now on... 😊

Yes I forgot to mention that in the orthodox indian mindset, sex is only mention in regards to procreation, not physical desire. speaking of procreation, I hope ArMU have mature conversation about kids.

It is refreshing to see a show take a more modern approach, an approach that will connect with today's youth.

agree on your points of equality. Women are hardly seen in an equal light as men, they are given a more oppressive role,so the open discussion of female sexuality is a far off dream.

I love the depiction of romance and the armu's journey so far, so very real and honest. which is why the subplots; dharmi, raami, mishri and saanvi scare me. the fact that there is so many unopened subplots mean cv's have plans.

what is ironic is that, the show is set in a village but the romance is so modern and bold. of course the credit goes to the writing and acting, but there is someting about Eijaz and niyati presence. they are great actors but as a couple...they sizzle. even if they stand in close proximity of each other, you can see that electrifying-almost raw sexual chemistry, which is rare. direction is great as well but NiAZ takes it to the next level. i never imagined these two could look so good together from the initial promo. A younger actor wouldn't be able to bring the chemistry as well as eijaz does, his age adds something very raw and palpable to ArMu.

thanks for commenting.

Let them first deal with desires then they can discuss abt kids.. which is gonna prove a bigger issue betn the two.. I m sure aru will want a kid and mukhi will want her career.. and anyways he is already dealing with one kid...😆. I guess wen saanvi has a kid makers might bring in this plot...

Regarding the open tracks yeah it seems worrisome considering how thy r dealt in other shows.. hopefully makers wud keep thr current trend of handling cliche tracks differently and wud not succumb to trp pressures.. for that we can only hope and pray😆

I absolutely agree regarding their chemistry... Was waiting for such absolute chemistry for long... M so delighted with thr on screen and off screen camardierre. I too did not feel the chemistry wud work from promos bt both eijaz and niyati and also the director has done superb job... Niyati is really a very fine natural and subtle actress... All her expressions come across as so honest and real...eizaj was always good in intense passionate lovers role... Here he has brought out the innocence and integrity of his character so well while keeping the chemistry interesting even though thrs so much age difference and such uncle way of dressing... Today even 50 yrs old in that region have stopped wearing dhotis... Phir ye to young Hai... Just saw a young guy from that region looking absolutely raw and appealing like mukhiji.. and he was so attentive to his mother.. he instantly reminded me of mukhiji (mainly bcoz he too had that typical moustache and beard and still luked so handsome in his shirt pant).. that's how wonderfully eijaz has worked on his character.. 👍🏼

Surely eijaz has played a major role off screen to bring out such fine chemistry with niyati which translated really well on screen..😛

We can see both look so real in there romantic scenes... 😛 such chemistry is really rare..👍🏼 like ranbeer-deepika or Akshay-katrina Madhuri-sanjay Aishwarya-salman. Even if they just stand with each other thy lit up the screen...

Both of you have beautifully described.. what is exactly going on in my mind. I have no more words left to write. Yes even I believe that there should be no unnecessary dragging. I don't mind if the serial ends in one year or may be 6 months.. but no crazy, flatulent stuffs from other television drama. I would really hate that. In the end I would like to see Aru being awarded as most successful women entrepreneur.. and she proudly sharing her success with Mukhiji. That would bring real meaning to the show.

Welcome back Pom! And such a nice post. On a topic that should be discussed more.
I so agree that they are showing the natural and gradual process that actually takes place between mature individuals. This has never been shown with so much detail in any other show. It is so good for girls to know that these are the normal reactions of any girl in Aru's position. In fact it is in real so scary that very often girls don't even know whom to turn to.

In an ever so subtle way, the CVs have thrown among us a very serious topic. I'm so glad you brought it up.

In fact the build up that they are showing now is another beautiful stage in a relationship. And of course the comedy really takes the cake. The way Aru shouted at him for the jhumka dialogue was just too good. What Mukhi said was true. She's the one thinking about it all the time. No wonder she jumped at the dialogue.

But the thing here is that the male character is such a wonderful personality and in reality we cannot expect that in every case.

What Vio spoke about again is so so true. I live in such a conservative place that I too can see it happening all over. Sometimes, education helps in a few cases. Girls are able to stand up for what they want. And Vio, some of the girls these days from the smaller villages too are in another world mainly by watching movies and TV and what not...in a world of 'touch' and 'chemistry'... which is in reality does not exist all the time.

In yesterday's episode, they were going about as usual, until that one look in the mirror, both were totally aware of each other. Just a moment and then it passed. Then again they went back to normal and comedy zone. So cute yaar these two

Like you all, can't wait to see what they are going to show today!

Hi, Thanks for your kind wishes.

You are right, A couple needs many things to remain happy and sex is one of those things, but it is the one most ignored one. In addition, the quality of sex also plays an important role. I don't know how many individuals consider that but I think it matters.

Aru knows she wants it but is nervous, and mukhi being a true gentleman is waiting for her. I mean he can pounce on her whenever he wants after the first time😆 it is great that they actually want each other, and they feel desire just like a normal human being. that is enough...for now

I've always wondered how couples with a large age difference discuss when to have children? Men mukhi's age already married with children. so wouldn't mukhi be desperate of children? especially when he is getting older. Whereas aru is young and yet to experience life, children will just tie her down. 23 is too early have kids. this is not just specific to Armu, but all couples with an age difference

However with armu's storyline, it may be Aru impulsively wanting to have children which is true to her age and mukhi telling her to wait.
