Apart from Aru's in hand projects of exposing and catching the family culprits .. .CVs should consider adding few more dimensions..
Mukhi is a wise and efficient Mukhia of village but his lack of education and ignorance may not help the village to join the digital India project 😃

Aru can propose to setup a internet training center where she can start classes foe women to use computers and smartphones / sell their products / to learn about new things etc.

But for Mukhiji she should take private tuitions in their room both sitting on same bed.. 😳 Teaching and Nok Jhok..

Also she can this do something to solve that signal problem by initialing some process to get a tower near Amboli so that internet connectivity and Phone signal both improve

I presume the village is already ODF so no need to make Shauchalaya

Arrange Medical camp for pregnant women, aged and kids ... (Catch the Factory culprits also)
I think her "City Girl" Tag should be fully used this show to send a message ...

But with all this Mukhi - Aru romance has to go on.. with all this she will win Villagers heart and will rule Mukhi's heart also

What say ?

Kavmuks,

What an excellent post!

I was thinking on the same lines. After a long time, I saw a show which reminded me of good old DD serials made before the cable era.

I do belong to the generation which watched things on DD where shows used to show progressive content (sometimes in a preachy manner) but without loosing the family audience perspective.

I do get that this is a show which is competing with one of the stupid, immensely popular and extremely regressive show. (I did not see a single episode of that except a funny gif doing rounds on whats app about the girl washing the guy's laptop. :-D)

That means we will get to watch a bit of over the top drama and characters (and sometimes) a bit of ridiculous storyline, once in a while.

But so far the show is giving us pleasant surprises with a girl who really have ambitions and backbone (and not till she lands the riches a** she can find), and a guy who does not mind giving a glass of water to his wife who comes home from work.

As far what you said, I guess that can be shown and it can co exist with the romance. I remember one of the old DD serials which was called "Udaan which was about a girl's struggle to become an IPS officer and then doing that role. And it does address those issues and has one of the best (and subtle) romantic tracks I have seen. (Shekhar Kapoor played the love interest. I will not call him male lead as the main male character in the serial was her father's played by Vikram Gokhale)

I am hoping they will show us some good things which talk about improvement already happening in our villages and some things which can be done. (They have done good research, there was a brief mention in one of the Dharmashala scene, where Mukhi says how Gujrat has first agricultural university which teaches about organic farming)
