At a ceremony organised by the Lions Club International at Lokhandwala stars turned up in hordes. It was the Club's 12th year since inception and it felicitated personalities from the world of fashion, film, music, stage and media.
Among the ones who were felicitated were directors Madhur Bhandarkar for Page 3 and Sudhir Mishra for Hazaron Khwahishen Aisi. "It feels good when people recognise your efforts," Madhur was heard saying. We guess it must have felt good, because despite winning the National Award, he didn't win anypopular film awards.
Mumbai Mirror correspondent, Ram Kamal Mukherjee was felicitated with the Best Film Journalist Award.
Among those were present were Shama Sikand, Bobby Darling, Delnaz Paul, Rajeev Paul. Debutant actor Kunal Kemmu won the Best Actor award for Kalyug, Shweta Prasad won the Best Debutant Actress for Iqbal and Moushumi Chatterjee won the Lifetime Achievement award.
