Aman adjusted his collar and hair in front of the mirror. He had never felt so conscious about his appearance ever before, until a certain Miss - now his wife - told him that he had cute brown eyes and was handsome.
He wore a blue tshirt, her favourite colour.
He should look the best of all today, so that her eyes rest only upon him. Afterall, his wife was returning to Junaid Manzil after a whole 2 days!
"Aman!", Dadi called him from downstairs.
He quickly raced down the stairs with his hands brushing past the railing.
"Ji Dadi?"
"Beta woh Roshni ka phone aaya tha, woh Dargaa jaa rahi hai, tu usi wahi se lele"
He smiled at this news.
In no time, he was on his way to the Dargaa. He couldn't help but smile while remembering their first meeting there.
He parked his car, this time outside the complex (š) and walked inside. The atmosphere looked festive with a lot of people dressed extravagantly and special drapes and lighting laced all over the walls.
He scanned the ground to find her. His eyes landed on one form far away, behind a silky curtain, distributing sweets amongst children. It had to be Roshni, with the amount of commotion surrounding her. Her shadow was enough for him to recognize her in a million of people.
Teri kaali ankhiyon se jind meri jaage
Dhadkan se tej daudu, sapno se aagey...
He managed his way past the whole lot of people. Just when he had thought he was almost there, a unanimous chant started echoing from everywhere and people rushed to assemble in the main hall. He was pushed aside, much to his dismay. He too, decided to go with the flow and reached the main hallway.
Everyone sat in reverence. The prayer started.
He couldn't help but think about the looming danger in their lives at this point of time. He could only ask for the safety of his family's and Roshni's life. Yes, they had to do it together, moreover she had to face this for him, and he felt so guilty about it. He would do everything in his capacity to save her. He closed his eyes and touched his forehead to the ground. He promised himself that he will protect her, till he is alive and breathing. He wouldn't think twice before laying down his life for her, no matter what. She deserved to live and be happy for the caring, generous woman that she was. The mere thought of harm befalling on her due to him seemed unbearable.
His own problems seemed so unimportant at this point.
Ab jaan lutt jaaye, ye jahaan chhut jaaye
Sang tere, pyaar rahe, main rahun na rahun...
He remembered all the instances where she had risked her life for him and his family. It was his responsibility now to make sure that nothing happens to her. Just one day more and then she'll be away - and safe, from him and the Jinn.
His eyes started searching for her yet again.
He saw her hands folded in front of her face in the distance. His ring was shining on her finger so adorably.
Everyone got up and greeted each other. He saw her hands part ways to reveal her face. He could feel her soft gaze on him as their eyes met.
Raanjhana... naino ke teer chal gaye
Saajna... saanson se dil sil gaye
Palkon mein chupa loon, seenay mein samaa loon
Tere ang ang rang mera bole
Ab jaan lutt jaaye, ye jahaan chhut jaaye
Sang tere, pyaar rahe, main rahun na rahun
Sajdaa, tera Sajdaa
Karoon main tera Sajdaa...
Their eyes met, inspite of a hundred hurdles between them. He got up slowly started walking towards her.

Note: So as suggested by Madz, I had this concept of Sajdaa on Roshni Aman. I dunno how many will like it at this point of time, nevertheless, for my satisfaction, I'm posting this.
