Hello All!

I am really sorry for distressing my readers like this. I can understand the precious bond between a reader and story because I am an avid reader. However, I have been facing the most distressing time in both my personal and professional life and the stress has kept me ill as well. So ill that I was recently admitted to the hospital. I mentioned these in my notes of all stories. While I can understand readers here are afraid of losing stories do know that I am not going to give up on my stories. But right now with my life in shambles I cant bring myself to write. I urge all readers to have patience. Writers have a life outside of their stories and no matter how much we would want to update our circumstances dont allow us to do so sometimes. I will try updating my stories this july but do have patience with me and all other writers in this forum.

Bundles of love to you all,

Sims

Thankyou for bringing this topic .Had pressed similar issue in one of the authors thread that if they have taken the commitment on their part then they ought to see it updated on regular basis rather than taking us for granted.Disheartened by the behaviour of writers over here.

Dear Readers & Writers

Please put a smile before you read this. I am not going to justify here who is right or wrong.

1. As authors they write because its their passion and they want genuinely to make the readers happy. A lot of effort goes in writing a story be a OS,SS or FF. They wait for the feedback and comment as some might like to see what is going well or what they need to work on. Your feedback helps to shape up the future story. So Please as readers do give your feedback whether positive or negative. Convey whether you like it or not.

2. Every reader also invests some time and attaches himself/herself to the story. They look forward for the next chapter. As a reader everyone wants to see the end of the story . So I request every author to please complete the story .

3. An author has to be in right frame of mind to write the story, if they are sick or have some personal / professional commitments. They will not be able to write , it just doesn't work. But for any reason as writers if the story can't be updated. Just leave a comment that. I will be updating on so and so date and if you don't have any date planned say it. As readers they will understand and will not keep asking for the updates.

4.Also please provide respond to readers who review your story , its a great way to connect with readers.

After all we are human beings and we tend to do mistakes. This forum words are the only way we communicate. So please use them carefully. Words hurt more than anything.

Lets keep this positive spirit.

Writers who have been away for sometime lets wish them that their illness or any issues they are facing get resolved soon. We see them soon fit and fine.

I pray for everyone's happiness.

Please forgive if I have hurt anyone

With Tons & tons of love

Sajida

I want to ask the creator of this Thread ..How many times have you taken the pain to type out a review for Kati Patang ? please understand that writing here is simply about our passion and love for Show's characters..

There is a life outside the forum, the show .I am a Student who is also trying to juggle up a professional course and the damn competitive examinations to get a job which would pay me which India Forums doesn't.

And Prasad..you had complained about the same in last post of yours and I have updated after that also Kati Patang...Please check before you accuse..

It's not about keeping promises or anything.. Readers also need to encourage the authors who sacrifice their family time study time and try to fulfill their commitments..and this I say on behalf of all my writers friends on forum .

I admit that that the updates get delayed but I haven't nor will abandon any of my stories (Unanticipated Moves and Kati Patang) before they end in true sense for me.

Knowing that somewhere someone is waiting for your story to be updated, is a very grateful feeling! It makes a writer want to update sooner than he planned. But if the writer still cannot update, there's got to be some reason right?

For giving readers a satisfying chapter, a writer needs to be in the correct frame of mind to write. The story would be destroyed otherwise. The writer might be busy on personal or professional front, hence not getting time to update. Writers write bcz it's their passion and they enjoy it, they aren't professionals.

And no writer ever thinks that readers are jobless. It is, in a way, derogatory to their own story.

Being an FF writer on this forum, and coincidentally one delaying updates of my stories, I feel ashamed too that I'm not able to give updates on time, for whatever reasons. But I do have reasons, I'm not sitting here thinking my readers are jobless and would any way wait for updates. Even if you aren't convinced about our sentiments for our story and it's readers, atleast believe the logic that delayed updates would lessen reader's enthusiasm, which no writer would want. So there's no point in us delaying updates for no reason.

However, if a writer discontinues his story for any reason, he ought to inform the readers. But you cannot question or be harsh on him for that, bcz you don't know his reason for doing so.

At last, I want to say, every story is like the baby of it's writer. No writer would deliberately ruin it.

Will you say the same : oh the producers really worked hard, they did not got TRP expected so its their right to close...

Will you say that how many of you have produced the show, how much hard work goes, actors works say and night, good they closed without ending story with logical end...

Think... Writers have special talents that is why they write story... We may not like writing but love reading... Same way we may not produce a show but we all love watching shows and commenting negative or positive... We give dhamki too that episodes are not doing good so we stop watching... The same logic goes with writers too... There are people who love the story but feel cheated and hugely disappointed when it's stopped abrubtly without even informing readers... It leaves the bad taste and impressions as next time the same writer comes up with good story readers will fear to start reading having impression that writer may stop writing.

Forum have some very good writers who continued and closed the story even if they didn't had much readers, comments and likes...

Show producers are professionals. Its their profession to give us episodes everyday. They are paid for it. And if they get low responses continuously, eventually they too end their shows, with most shows having rushed and abrupt ends.

Writers on the forum are not professional writers, they have their professional and family life to manage too. And even professional writers face situations when they aren't able to give satisfying updates. So there's nothing that happens without a reason.

parsad or who u r... just type a short story put in to forum and continue it if u couldn't get commnts of any praise also try to update it regular....may b then u could feel what process nd feelings writers go through...😎

I'm not saying reading is just too easy. I'm a reader myself, I have been through the anticipation and desperation for updates. I have read stories which were eventually left incomplete and discontinued, but that doesn't mean I'll go harsh on the writer. All I can do is ask for the reason the story is left incomplete, which is also upto the writer to answer or not.
