If the writers don't show Sameer's entire family as bad people how is it possible for as audience to justify Sameer's yelling and emotional blackmailing of his family. Now that Sameer's entire living family are bunch of snobs, we as audiences are so happy and saying "the entire family, especially Vishakha deserves it. More power to the writers for destroying each and every character so that the leads look good.
I am not only talking about Sameer's famlily, think about Sunaina. Sameer actually used her to make Naina jealous. When Naina found out about the bet, did she forgive Sameer easily? No! Then why should Sunaina forgive Sameer so easily. In real life if a guy does that, I don't think he will be appreciated but Sunaina's character presented to us a such a bully that we as audience have zero sympathy for her and came up with zillion reasons to justify Sameer's actions instead.
Then think about Sharad. Naina was engaged to him to be married. If Naina just broke off the engagement on her own, she would have been the bad person. But since Sharad was shown to be the ultimate pshyco, we are so glad that Naina found strength to break away.
My take is why is it even important to show your lead as perfect people and as ones always wronged? I would have love to see the stories unfold without some of these characters completely destroyed. I was thinking of this show as different and relatable but apparently it is not. At this point I am highly disappointed with the writers of the show.
