Nice post, it really made me think what is it that's being tested here - is it friendship, love or moral values. I think all of the above are tested. Swati has broken trust of all her friends and not just Naina but out of all Naina will feel betrayed the most. From the beginning they had small differences in opinion but it never overshadowed their friendship and I still don't understand why Swati couldn't show her anger or her desire to stand for election with her friends and boyfriend. When she first tried to talk to them it was just wrong timing as Naina had just got back her life and Munna was just busy being happy for his friends (not enough reason to ignore Swati) but Swati could have brought up her concern to the gang at a later point. I just feel she can be angry but backstabbing her friends by stooping so low is not an answer for anything. It surely didn't solve any differences of opinion and even if Naina lose how does that satisfies her greed to be GS. She is still not gaining anything out of it and instead her lifelong relations are at steak now. Swati has not only failed friendship test miserably but her so called love has failed too. If she can't handle small setback in college than how will she handle issues that might come up in her love life. Is she going to cheat and steal from Munna for everytime he doesn't agree with her. She has lost trust and that is the most important pioneer in any relationship.
Also, I think the aftermath of this test will teach many lessons to everyone. Don't trust anyone blindly. Don't take people around you for granted. Voice out difference in opinion instead of making assumptions. Don't act without knowing complete truth, and many more. I hope Swati realizes her mistake and build her relations again with better and stronger bricks. Even though we like to say that there is no redemption for Swati but it is equally righteous that she deserves second chance after she realize where she has gone wrong.

You have written everything I had in mind especially the 2nd paragraph.

Swathi being upset with her friends for not seeing her pain or not making sure if she was okay about her withdrawing from GS nomination was fine but back stabbing took it all away. She could have been angry and opened up for God's sake. But what she ended up doing is terrible. The gang being so good at heart will eventually forgive her and all will be well.

What I don't get though is what was Swathi thinking. She's losing everything. She's only playing puppet to Su gang by passing on Naina gang info to those losers. In the end Su is the GS and Swathi loses her childhood friends too. and will Su gang be the same to her as Naina & gang and will be able to be the same with them?

the circumstances brought out her true inner ill feelings she was harboring. Hopefully she will realize and change for the better, if not it would be the end of a good friendship.

I do feel it will be Sameer who will convince Naina to forgive Swathi.

Excellent points put forward by everyone...
Like Naina,I do find it rather hard to believe, given what swati's character has been portrayed as.she has always been more confident, more outspoken than Naina, since her family seems to be less conservative than naina's.
That being said, her rapid resentment towards Naina seems a little bit odd.how does a person forget 13 years of friendship in the snap of a finger?
Granted that sunaina was manipulating her,but to completely change camps like this is ridiculous.even if she felt that nain aa was taking her for granted, did Swati not even consider once that sunaina could just as easily ditch her after the elections?
For Swati,it might end up being a ''na ghar ka na ghat ka" situation.at the beginning,it felt like Swati was upset for a righteous reason, but after Sameer blamed for leaking the speech, her manipulative reaction made me feel like she was well aware that she was doing wrong by her best friend, and just did not care.

Well this is my view-
What is the single most important characteristic people want in them and their relationship? Supportiveness, emotional intelligence, vision? No.
Straight-forwardness, courage, ambition? No again.
The answer is integrity. We want to be told the truth, we want people who have a moral compass, and we want honesty.
In a world of spin and branding, and buying and selling, the concept of integrity seems to get dismissed, but it always comes back to bite those who ignore it.
I would say ;dishonesty is both culturally determined and highly variable. Dishonesty and lack of integrity are not characteristics of individuals, but a response to very specific situational factors. So Sameer chose to integrate his righteous attitude once Naina admonishes him.So he was just a pawn of a variable situation. My view is that he won in relationship test and momentarily failed in integrity test.

But with Swati the case is not the same...She failed in integrity as well as relationship. Her integrity was tested at first and then with the final nail in coffin of messing the voting she has fallen low in relationship.

CVs catered to 'Everything is fair in love and war" but the characters surely lost their personal integrities ,be it momentarily or permanently.

Hey Minu, I really liked the question that you raised.. what do we want and value the most in others? Integrity any time! Because we know what to expect from a person with integrity in all various situations and trials in life. 👏

Thats the darkest side of her personality. So somewhere deep down she had negative feelings which are coming up on the surface. I dont know there will get get around for her to get back to the group again. Hopefully its shown in a meaningful way..

This is a very interesting point highlighted by you.. the negative feelings that were probably lying deep under are now surfacing..

And completely agree CVs should handle the redemption meaningfully.. well, we can always hope! 😆

The gal has been harbouring illfeelings for her best frend since a long time...The lava that has been subsided inside her for so mny years ... has been vented n erupted in the form of backstabbing...

Thanks for reading it. :)

@ bold..I don't think Swati has though through what is doing. She is so blindsided by revenge that she is not even realizing that Su had also nominated Naina as her opponent. Also, she is not seeing that Su already has group of close friends and that she will never make her assistant over her friends. If she was conscious of what is happening around her she would have figured it out that Su and gang can't/won't treat her like her friends from childhood.

Yesterday when Munna ujhal koodke swati ke paas aaya she just put up her hand in front of her in a stop sign. It was so glaring that she is irritated with Munna and that action was also a bit odd.

Awesome observation regarding Swati's gesture to Munna!

I can understand that she is feeling let down by her BF... on one hand she can see Sam always so sensitive to his girls needs and then Munna completely misread her need or mindset.

But not confronting him and choosing this way of retaliation is really a horrible choice.

I agree.. Swati has every right to feel angry or even a little in her friends for their lack of understanding.

But backstabbing like this and then tampering ballot boxes is just too much. She is actually committing a legal offence.

I like all the potential lessons to be learned by all involved listed by you. And they are very much life lessons!
