It is a heartbreaking update.. so many lives were lost that day. And I am so touched by how you have stayed true to how an event like this strikes without discriminating between anybody's loved ones. All our much loved characters experienced loss in so many different ways, as would have the real habitants of those area impacted by the earthquake.

But events like this also can help the survivors learn a lot of precious lessons of life - appreciating the loved ones we have in our lives and looking beyond our personal grief and supporting others.

So pleased that Samaina decided to adopt and give their love to a child who needed them just as such as they needed one. And then along came Prishi 😳

Surbhi, This story will always remain very close to my heart!

Hey May!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm super late in responding to the comment I know, but am so happy that it touched the right emotional chords! 😳❤️
Lots of love

I'm afraid I was very young at the time of the tragedy,so I don't remember it all that well, but the way you described it was horrifying😔
The scale of devastation was downright terrible...

Ofcourse Naina would realise that he was lying to her...aise hi thodi na topper Bani naina😆
She did understand that he was doing all of this for her,though..Sam is seriously hubby goals.
Loved it,sur

Hey Viji! Thank you so much dear! 😳😳 It was indeed a horrifying tragedy. Even I was hardly 10 or 12 years old, but pieces of news and some visuals remain etched in my mind.
I'm so happy that you enjoyed this piece of work from my side as well! 😳
Lots of love

How dreadful it must have been for the people who actually witnessed it. You described the whole scenario very nicely... The way Sameer was helping everyone in the hope that someone would help is family too was so heart touching and how he took care of the baby despite being injured was ❤️ ...Unfortunately taiji and Rakesh died 😉 but I am not sad about it 😆 . Haaye u named their daughter Prishi . So cute 😳 ... Thank you for writing this amazing TS

Hey Suman!
🤗Glad you loved the tale, and that despite the sad, unexpected twist! Well life is unpredictable is what I personally believe! :) Taiji and Rakesh ki mujhe bhi chinta nahi...:P call me sadist! Prishi is the star of our forum na! 😳 So dedicated this to her!
Thanks a lot dear!

Brilliant tha ye!!

Even hearing about the Gujarat earthquake gives me goosebumps.. And here you've described it in a way ki mujhe tension si ho gyi
People lost their lives, their loved ones, their home😭

Poor baby Nitant Lost his parents
But everything happens for a reason.. Three incomplete lives got completed by this disaster.. SamAina got a child n the baby got parents.. Destiny😳

And finally God blessed them with a baby girl too😃 I love happy endings❤️ But at the same time I don't like endings.. Main kya karu😆

Aww Anji! Me too- I'm a sucker for happy endings :P But tension not...aur stories abhi baaki hai na! 😉 I'm so glad the portrayal of the tragedy felt realistic to you! And that this story touched you emotionally!
As they say- raat ke baad hi subah hoti hai! 😳😳
Thank you so much Anji!

Sur I knew the first comment after my return would be for this particular story.hence I took my own sweet time conjuring up a reply fitting to this masterpiece. Indeed it is one, especially the very core plot. I find it close to my heart and somewhere the story tugged at my heart in a way which no other had managed to do till now.

If you shine light on your flaws all your perfects will dim! Precisely the very quote sprung up while I was writing this review. I just love Hoover and her theories and stories. And here I was busy drawing parallels with her, especially when she too has penned a masterpiece on the same subject. If Graham made me fall in love with him for not giving up, your Sameer made me go weak in the knees with his sensitivity.

This story had a lot to highlight upon, not only was it about the struggles of a childless couple but also about not giving up on a relationship. The fact that sameer stood rock solid by his love, even trying to camouflage her shortcoming while shinning light upon his non existent flaw took my breath away. The way he guides the conversations regarding the very problem and steers his love in the right direction while giving each other hope made me want to fall in love again with Sameer. The iconic sameeria it seems is plagueing my mind while I pen my thoughts. Naina's struggles, her pain, helplessness, angst and the very incredulity of the situation has been portrayed with astounding finesse by you. I could feel that twinge in my heart especially when I know how it feels when people question you about having a baby and as in what you are waiting for after a few years of marriage. There were a couple of moments which I loved , especially the part where naina's inquisitive nature gets the better of her and she goes scooting to a different doctor for the same set of tests. She is shattered to know the truth yet the love of her husband helps her to stay afloat even while she could feel the water brimming up until her nostrils.

The best part would be the realism involved. It never felt like I was reading a fairytale rather a fine work of fiction where fiction meets reality. Where the fine line though not blurred but is omnipresent giving character to each word that is penned.
The twist of that earthquake and how they are blessed with a boy made me have tears in my eyes. My heart went out to that little soul who lost his parents only to be transported in the laps of another who up until then were pining for the very moment. The bittersweet melancholy attached with the situation made me wince yet smile.

Well what can I say, this gesture of yours warms my heart and I really wish and hope when my daughter grows up I make her read the lines written in our honour. I was going through the worst phase in my life and I was grappling with the toughest of scenarios when you wrote this. You have no clue as to how much strength I derived from every message of yours. Of all my friends who were present by my side, I cherished the support of the ones who were omnipresent in the background.

Am not gonna say thank you because dosti mein no sorry no thank you right but that phone conversation was special and your support is cherished.

My dear...don't apologize! I'm honoured that you find my stories worthy of your time and review! 😳And regarding the paucity of time, we all are in the same boat! So never mind! 😛
Coming to the update: such a soul stirring, emotional and sentimental update. You weave magic with your stories my love, every time it strikes the right chord with the hearts of the readers, I am speechless as in how realistic is the entire narration.
My My! I'm absolutely flattered my love! Thank you! 😊 That's indeed one of the best compliments I've ever received! 😳❤️

Our society is like marry as soon as one is economically settled and have kids and this is the sole purpose of one's existence on this earth. This concept is what defines your survival. Society treats childless couples like some out castes or freaks and hence Naina-Sameer's plight is easy to understand especially the fingers pointed at Naina's biological capability because its always the woman who has to bear the brunt.😭
That is true...galti hai ya gadbad hai to ladki ki hi hogi...unfortunately that's what society believes in even now! 😕 And yes, reproduction is the essence of life! 😆
I am in love with the love of Sameer and Naina. That ethereal connection between them built on acceptance of each other, their trust, their honesty and understanding. Sameer choosing to not let anyone point at his Love. This is Love where what you want is never important. But what the other person needs and wants takes predominance. Sameer's love for Naina lifted her spirits when she had hit rock bottom. Real Love is an attitude expressed in unconditional actions and Sameer and Naina just proved these words to be true.❤️
Sameer is one amazing man! I compare him to Matt Farrell to be honest! Such men are bestowed upon really, really lucky women- one in a zillion I would say...he's the epitome of love and Naina compliments his love best! 😳

A calamity stuck the mankind, wiping out their loved ones, rendering them devastated but as the saying goes at times in the worst of times God blesses you with most unexpected happiness and it just erased that longing in the life of Sameer and Naina: blessed them with bundles of joy. And such beautiful names you had chosen for them⭐️
Many cloudy days end in a golden sunset is what my mom always says! 😊 And life is also like this perhaps...it can take a pause, but it mustn't stop! Doesn't stop! Aww...thank you...glad you loved the names for the kids! 😃 I so wanted Nitant and was confused with the baby girl's name...what best than our darling Prishu here...ehhh? 😳
I was so emotional reading this update that I couldnot control my tears and mind you this happened every time I read this one Sur. You chose such a great topic above all, this was perfectly executed.
I love you lots and lots for this amazing piece ❤️🤗
I'm feeling really honoured Isha! Thank you so much- thank you from the bottom of my heart! Had it not been for readers like you, I would probably never have got the motivation to stick to the pen! I'm happy I could do justice to this sentimental topic! And that it touched you at such a deep emotional level that you get tears in your eyes on reading this piece! I'm really overwhelmed dear!
Love you so much for the fantastic piece of review! ❤️🤗

Response in pink!
Loads of love
