Seeing the jet speed at which Naina's rishta is happening,I have a strong feeling that something is wrong with Sharad or his family.I am talking purely from a practical perspective,ie,real life scenario.
The rishta basically seems too good to be true and experience tells us that if something seems too good to be true,it probably is not true.
These are the reasons I smell a rat
1)Rishta was brought in by Taiji.
We know that Taiji cares two hoots for Naina.She would be least bothered about her welfare or getting her into a good family
2) The proposal came up way too fast.
Taiji had hardly started looking when the proposal came up.And Sharad's family liked Naina's photo and almost rushed to meet her the very next day. Isn't that really rushing things?
It is almost like "Let us look at this girl and fix things up before someone else takes her away".Now why would they be in such a hurry?
3) They agreed to the marriage within seconds.
Now why would ANYBODY in his/her right mind do that?In a typical arranged marriage scenario,people look at the girl and then go home and think about it.
They discuss the details with their relatives and sometimes the boy and girl enquire about each other discreetly.Then (after 2-3 days or more),they give an answer.
But Sharad's family is acting like Prithviraj Chauhan coming to whisk away Samyukta.They saw Naina ,had a 40 second discussion right there and made the decision then and there.Shagun bhi ho gaya...Why the hurry?Are they afraid that delaying might reveal some unpleasant truths?
4)No Dowry:
Don't get me wrong,but from the way Taiji went on about "No demands",I understand that it was a big deal to find a family that made no demands in the 1990s.
Now the question is why are they going against the grain and making no demands?There are two possibilities
a)They are genuinely very good people and don't believe in dowry
b)They have something to hide and want this marriage to go through ASAP.
If they are really good people,then they would have options galore.
The family seemed middle class to me.Sharad is actually good looking and very young(21 maybe?).He is doing his CA and has bright prospects.He is the only son.Plus there are no demands. Sone pe Suhaga. So the family has almost no downside.In that case,they can pick and choose their girl.They will really scour the market for girls and will not be in a hurry to finalize anything
.I am not saying that there is something wrong with Naina,but what I am saying is that a boy like Sharad will have so many rishtas coming for him.There will be so much to choose and compare.In fact,such people will even end up looking at 3-4 girls in a span of 2 days.So why the hasty decision?it simply doesn't fit.
The reason for the hasty decision could be that they have been scouring the ,market for ages but didn't find a suitable girl.That begs the question .When the family is so perfect,why didn't they find a girl?Is it because there is something about them that Naina's people don't know but others came to know?I strongly believe so. Sharad wale Daal mein pucca kuch kaala hai.
I have a feeling that they will try to hurry up the marriage too .This is when some unpleasant truth about them will come to light.How will that happen?Hmm,my guess...Sam will find out something about the family(coincidentally or by digging around,after all his Mama is so well connected and knows everyone in the city).He will inform Chachaji(the only sane person in the household who can listen to logic)...and the rishta is broken...😃..I am not sure,the latter part is wishful thinking,of course.
But I do believe that the rishta will be broken at the eleventh hour because there will be some problem with Sharad's family/Sharad.This will cause a lot of badnaami for the Agrawals.It will also effectively put an end to Taiji looking for rishtas for Naina.
