Its tough being a girl in an indian society, actually everywhere but especially in desi society. There are more restrictions but also more danger cos of the way men are taught to be superior in desi community. I know not every family is the same, there are some open minded ones but there's more close minded families. Its an age old culture I guess. Its changing surely but very slowly.

More than restrictions it is tough to be always perfect in every dept.It is more tougher now being a woman working with so much responsibilities around house children etc.& to add to that the mindset of a man has hardly changed.Look everywhere. It is tough to be a woman but woman are stronger so they carry everything on there soldiers.Man on other hand had limited restrictions & ample support for whatever he does.

I would say yes, it is indeed difficult. Girls have equal rights as that of boys but still we have to fight for it. There are open minded and narrow minded people around us, many in our families. Most of the time if a girl speaks for her then she is termed as arrogant and disobedient. People are ok if we follow each and everything they say. But the society is changing. Its the only hope.

It is surely difficult being a girl. My parents never differentiated and gave full freedom with full trust. Having said that overall social structure is such that it makes a constant journey for girls to prove themselves their worth..

I think these days it is not very different for girls and boys.. girls still have their challenges but also get some privileges which boys don't. So it really depends on situation u r in.
But in 90s, it definitely was more tough being a girl. Every few minutes I was reminded that I can't do certain things as I am a girl. There way too many restrictions and even too many expectations.

I think it depends , it varies from family to family and people to people...in some case kids have to be restricted because they would not think logically ...not every child is the same ...so parents might have to put some controls...considering the age/ their friend circle/ interests in hobies etc...these are done to save the child from falling into danger because of the lack of practicality...its not just with girls the same holds good for boys...

I am one person who believe that what is morally wrong for a girl is morally wrong for a boy...its not that ladka kare toh tieek hain...lekin wohi bath ladki kare toh galath...

Then again depends on the family ...if they are conservative or joint family...I have seen in joint family the restrictions are lot more because with more no of people ...to get an order in the family we need certain discipline...easier to handle 5 or 4 ppl than to handle 10 - 15 ppl ...but every thing has its pros and cons...the greatest challenge for elders in the family is to bring in right balance ...

Another point is...some kids will blindly follow ...some will totally rebel and some will logically negotiate so it also depends on the kids how they feel about these restrictions... 😆 so according to me ...no one can say its tough to be a girl...I would say the transition of a human being from childhood to adulthood is tough journey...and it is required...only then when they become parents they will be strong to lead and guide.

I was born in 78 and that too In a brahmin family...My parents were very progressive given that era... And so after my sis was born they decided to stop and never tried or regretted having a boy... We were sent to best convent of our city...And given independence even in 91-92 ... I was 13 or 14 may be I had my own vehicle ro ride for school...
After we went to college ...It was all more freedom...We were allowed for outings...We both sisters went for restaurants , cinema, or even friends house...My mom always insisted on making career and be independent ...

Now myself mother of two ,when I look back I am so thankful to god for giving me best parents. ...Life could be never same without them...

So for me and my sis we were proud girls... And our parents too are proud of us that we never misused their freedom...

Exactly the same story ...mine too
Only one difference..I was born in 1970

Rest all same ...

That is the reason y I relate to the serial so much...but Ghar mein itna pressure ya restrictions nahi the

yes surely it is difficult to be a girl...the responsibilities and restrictions for girls are much more than boys😳
A man comes back home after work is presumed to be tired while a girl comes back...she is presumed to have gone out for enjoyment and is expected to do all the household chores including the ones for the man as well...its one of the few things that happen...its my personal experience ...😳
