"Toh... kaisa raha tumhari pehli date Preeti asked Naina. "Acchi thi Naina said trying to cover her smile and blush and tried to act normal. "Bas acchi thi aur batha na kya kya kiya tum dono ne? Kya kya bathe ki?.. batana...? preeti pestered Naina. "Preeti maine kaha na aachi thi toh bas aur kuch mat poocho mujhse Naina tried to evade away from her questions.

"Aachha theek hai date ke bare mein na sahi, Sameer ke baare mein batha. Kaise laga woh tumhe? Naina couldn't help but think about Sameer when Preeti asked her this question. Naina whispered "ekdum hero jaisa. "Kya? preeti asked as she couldn't hear properly what her sister had murmured. "Kuch nahi. Woh bhi achha tha. Mere sath achhe se baath bhi ki. Naina replied firmly as she sat on the bed.

"Batau na Sameer ne tumse kya kya kaha? Preeti couldn't stop herself from asking questions after all Naina Agarwal who always stayed miles away from love and anything related to it, finally went on her first date and that too a blind date!!! "Usne apne hobbies ke baare mein bataya, apne colle- preeti main yeh sab tumhe kyu batau tu mujhse sab kuch share karti ho jab tum rohan ke saath date pe jati ho toh?? Toh main kyu batau. Agar tumhara yeh question and answer session pura ho gaya ho toh kya main soo jau? Kal mujhe school jana hai aur tujhe bhi toh college jaana hai na. Jau jaake soo jau. Naina responded being irritated.

It was 2 days since Naina's first date. Thinking about the date immediately made her smile and helped her relax from her busy schedule. It was busy day for Naina. It was almost noon and Naina was completely exhausted. She was given the responsibility to conduct a seminar with students on ways to cope with stress. But she herself was stressed thinking about the seminar as it is her first seminar in school and she was determined to give her best. Just then she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in Naina said with her eyes fixed on her laptop. "Good afternoon maam a peon said entering her cabin. "Good afternoon chacha Naina wished him back politely. It was Naina's habit of calling the peons in the school as chacha instead by their name.

"Yeh apke liye peon said giving her a bouquet of white lilies. "Kisne baija? Naina gave a confused look. "Pata nahi maam bahar ek ladka kada tha aur usne yeh mujhe de diya aur kaha ki yeh main apko dedu. he replied. "Usne apna naam bataya tha kya? Naina asked taking the bouquet from his hand. "Nahi maam usne apna naam nahi bataya. "Theek hai aap jayiye, she told the peon.

As soon as the peon left the room, Naina examined the bouquet in her hands. It had a tiny label hanging from it which read: kya tum mujhe aaj sham 5 baye park mein mil sakti ho? Agar tum free ho toh... Naina's mind immediately drifted to their conversation

But i..its not your favorite. Am I right...

... I prefer white lilies more

"Sameer she whispered to herself as a smile crept on her face.

It was 3 pm when returned from school and she straight of went to the bathroom to refresh herself and get ready for the date.

Naina was all ready for her second date. Her eyes fell on her watch and it showed 4:15. Realising that she had a little more time left she saw herself in the mirror again for the 10th time to check if she looked fine. Suddenly an idea dawned upon her.

She opened preeti's cupboard and took out the KISS ME' perfume, when preeti entered the room. Naina immediately hide the perfume behind her. "Itna saj daj ke kaha jha rahi jo aur kya chupa rahi ho tum. Preeti enquired. "Kk..kuch bhi toh nahi. Naina got tensed at Preeti's sudden entry into the room.

"Dikhao mujhe Naina saying this preeti pulled her hand in front and was shocked to see her perfume in Naina's hand.

"Yeh perfume tumhare haath mein kya kar raha hai. Preeti questioned Naina. "Kuch bhi nahi..woh main tumhari cupboard saf kar rahi thi toh bas... Naina replied being embarrassed. "Meri cupboard tum saf kar rahi thi preeti couldn't believe what Naina just said. Naina turned towards the Dressing table when preeti saw a bouquet of white lilies laying on the bed.

"Kitna pyaara bouquet hai preeti picked up the bouquet. "Preeti usse neech rakh Naina got defensive and snatched the flowers from Preeti's hand. "Aree tumhe kya hua Preeti was shocked at her strange behavior. "Kyuki yeh meri hai. Naina said curtly.

"Zara main bhi toh dekhu kisne diya hai yeh tumhe jo itna attitude dikha rahi ho. Preeti took the flowers in her hand again and read the label. "Ab samaj main aaya ki tum inti saj daj kar, meri perfume lagakar kaha jaa rahi thi. Madam ji date pe jaa rahi hai. Preeti teased Naina. "Par isme toh kisika naam nahi lika. Kaun hai yeh? Preeti asked Naina.

"Sameer Naina said. "Sameer??? tumhe kaise pata koi aur bhi toh ho sakta hai? Preeti asked being doubtful.

"Koi aur mujhe phool kyu bejega? Sameer hi toh.. Naina stopped in the midway. "Sameer hi toh kya ?? Preeti asked playfully lifting her one eyebrow. "Kuch Nahi mu.mujhe der ho rahi hai. Bye. saying this Naina nearly left the room but came back in, sprayed the perfume over her and ran out of the room embarrassed. While preeti just laughed at her sister's antics.

Sameer's POV

I told her to come at 5 pm but I was late myself I came around 5:30. I hurried inside the park and found her sitting under a canopy of a tree. She looked simpler today than the first time I met her. On our blind date she had wore a long Persian blue dress, her ears adorned with drop shaped white earrings. She had a little makeup on her face, highlighting her round eyes and soft lips. Her shoulder length hair was left open.

Today she did not seem to have put makeup. Just kohl under her eyes and hair tied into a pony. She wore a dark blue jeans and red top and was constantly looking at her watch.

As I approached her I made myself ready to say sorry hundred times for being late. I went close to her and cleared my throat so as to gain her attention.

She looked at me and just gave me a smile. I was confused. Was it the calm before the storm? Would she now yell at me for coming late? I was about to say sorry when she said "Hi Sameer.

"H...hi i stammered she then tapped on ground next to her signaling me to take a seat. "Nainaaa.. i started i am so sorry.. i uhmm.. she cut me in the middle to say "Its okay, Sameer tumhe sorry bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai. "Really?? I asked being surprised. "Haan. Its okay.. waise thanks for the flowers mujhe bohot acche lage. She told with a pleasant smile. "Oh great.. waise tumhe khud pata chala ki woh flowers maine hi beje the ya phir tumne Rohan ya preeti ki madadh li guess karne main. I asked her.

"Aree maine toh ek minute main hi guess kar liya ki woh tumne hi beje hongaye. she told as her face radiated with confidence. "Aur woh kaise. I was curious to know how did she find out that it was me who sent the bouquet of flowers when there was no name written. "Well you see main bohot intelligent hoon tumhare message padhkar hi pata lag gaya. Her face brimmed with pride as she spoke. "Aree hai Rohan ne bataya tha. The topper Naina ke bhare main. I teased her and Naina just giggled at my comment.

"Woh sab chodo batau tumne mujhe yahan kyu bulaya.. Naina asked. I didnt know what to say. Even I myself didnt know why I had called her. I just felt like to meet her again so sent a message via a bouquet. Now I was completely out of words.

"Arhhh if you dont mind can we talk walking. I asked in an attempt to avoid replying to that question. Sure she obliged.

None of us talked since we started walking. I didn't realize when I slid my hands into her. I realized what I did when Naina gave me a shocked expression. I slowly released my hand from hers. She blushed. If it was some other girl then she would have died to hold my hand but Naina was different. This made her special.

"Uhmm aaj ka mausom kafi accha hain nahi? I asked her "Haan. Aur itne tiring din ke bath toh aur bhi zada accha lag raha hai. Mano hawa ki saath hi sari tiredness chali gayi ho She replied. "Woh toh hai after all tum Sameer ke saath jo ho. I said putting my hands inside my pocket with a smirk on my face.

"Matlab? She questioned. "Matlab yeh ki sameer ka jaadu hai yeh, mera charm hi aisa hai ki ladkiyaan mujhe dekhar sab kuch bhool jate hain. I whispered in her ear. I thought her cheeks will glow red at my statement but to my surprise she started laughing.

"I am sorry.. she said between her laughter... "Aree tum has kyu rahi ho? I asked narrowing my eyes. "Nahi kuch am sorry she said still laughing. "Achha? Tum ab has rahi ho? Per uss din jab tum pehle baar mujhse mili thi tab toh tum puri tarhe se kho gayi thi mere baatho mein, tab kaha thi tumhari yeh hasi jab tum baar baar mujhe dekhar blush kar rahi thi? I suddenly realized I had made the situation awkward for both of us by what I uttered few seconds ago. "Ahh..hh hum ruk kyu gaye chalte chalte baat karte hai na she tried to ease out the situation.

We started walking. In an attempt to change the topic of discussion I asked her "Toh tum school i mean kaam se aane ke baad kya karti ho? "Main?? hmm main toh chachiji ki madhadh karti hoon khana banane mein aur uske baad agar school ka koi kaam raha toh woh karleti hoon aur haan jaisa ki maine bathaya tha kabhi khabhi stories bhi likh leti hoon. Aur tum batau... tumhare ghar pein kaun kaun hai? She ended her reply with a question.

"Main, meri maa, mera bhai rohan, meri choti behen deepika, aur woh... I stopped abruptly "Woh kaun?? She asked me. "Mr. Somani, meri maa ka second husband. Unke aur mere bheej kabhi nahi banti, hamare rishte ki shuruwat hi kaadwi thi aur kaadwi hi rahegi. Aur aaj bhi unke saath jagda ho gaya tha aur date pe... i stopped "mera matlab tumhe time pe milne bhi nahi aaya. Naina please aur kuch mat poochna, abhi mere mood theek hua hai main usse dobara karab nahi karna chahta unke wajah se. I requested her. "Accha baba theek hai she agreed to me.

We continued walking. Several times while walking our shoulders brushed against each other's but neither of us tried to increase the distance between us. We nearly made a complete circle of the park when we saw a couple sitting beneath a tree holding hands and resting their heads on each other.

I shifted my eyes upon Naina and noticed that she too saw the couple and had a smile on her face. I did not know what had gotten into me but had a sudden urge to hold her hands again. This time she didnt try to release my hold instead reciprocated the gesture. We didnt talk much and just continued our walk till we reached the end of the park and a strange feeling engulfed me, a feeling which said do not leave her hand'. But I had to. I released my hold on her hand.

Bye i said half heartedly. Bye.. she said and I knew even she did not want to leave. We both turned around to leave when she called again "Sameer. "Huh? I looked at her.

"Woh... can we exchange numbers she asked fiddling with the edge of her top. "Ya sure. I said as I took note of her number and so did she..

I went back home with a smile on my face and pleasant memories of the evening.
