Part 1 :

I stood at the entrance of Hotel Fern. Preeti and I had come on my scooty till here , then she took my scooty to go to the place where Rohan was waiting for her. "Ja Naina ja, jee le apni zindagi Preeti said before leaving and I rolled my eyes.

I stood clutching onto my purse, still contemplating whether to go in or not. Finally I mustered all my courage and proceeded inside the hotel. I started to scrutinize the entire reception area, for my supposed blind date, Mr. Sameer. I didn't even know his surname, I didn't know how he looked yet here I was waiting for him in this five star hotel.

This is when I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to find a young man around the same age as I am probably 25 or so. He was wearing a white tee, blue jeans and a black blazer. He stood with a bouquet of pink roses in his hand. His eyes shone like moonlight and his lips were curved in a delicate smile. My line of thought was interrupted as he spoke.

"Nnn..Naina Right ? Preeti's sister he asked narrowing his eyes and pointing his index finger towards me. "Haan , aur aap sssaa..

"Sameer, Sameer Maheshwari he completed. "Naina Agarwal I said smiling. Next he handed me the bouquet of roses. "Toh chalo he said smiling profusely. I just followed him blindly; my eyes were just fixed upon him that I didn't realize when we arrived at our destination, a nice rooftop restaurant, lending a panoramic view of the city. Sameer went and stood next to a table along with two chairs in a corner of the restaurant. He drew a chair for me and I made myself comfortable on the chair. Next he went and occupied the seat in front of me. A waitress came to our table and offered us the menu card.

"Naina what would you like to have he asked. "Ahh I said as I scanned through the pages of the menu. "I would like to try Ravioli pasta. "Okay then he said "two Ravioli pasta and arhh one Mediterranean salad.

After the waitress left he turned towards me and cleared his throat "tohh. "Toh I replied back with my eyes downcast avoiding direct contact with his.

"Toh he said unjusting his chair. "Did you you like the flowers?. "Haaan I said stretching the haan a little longer, more than required. "You didn't like it he tried guessing. "Nahi I liked it I said widening my eyes. "But i..its not you favorite. Am I right? He asked with curiosity. "Its just that I prefer white lilies more. I blushed and I was sure he noticed it.

"Oh he said nodding his head a little. "Toh phir... say something about yourself. Your likes, hobbies, anything. "Kuch khas nahi bas I like to read and sometimes I write short stories. I replied to his question "That's nice he voiced, even I write poems, sometimes.

"What do you do, job or...? "...I work as a counselor in the school in which I studied. I replied to his question.

"Oh great he said with wide eyes "Main ek baath poochu? He asked "Haan zaroor. "Tuhme ajeeb nahi lagta hoga, matlab tumhare sare teachers jisne bhi tumhe padhai honge woh ab tumhare colleagues honge right? He asked shrugging his shoulder. I nearly laughed at his question. "Haan pehle toda ajeeb laga phir aadat padh gayi.

Just then our food arrived and Sameer rubbed his hand and licked his lips upon the sight of food and I couldn't help but notice how cute he looked doing that.

Aur tum... tum kya karte ho? I asked as I poked the folk into the pasta.

"Main apne Nanu ka business sambhaltha hoon. College main padhne ke saath saath main nanu ke business ke bare mein bhi seekh raha tha aur college ke baad full time.

I nodded slowly, taking a bite of my pasta. "Aur yeh tumhari pehli date hai ya phir isse pehle kisi ke saath date pe gayi ho? I was nearly choked when he asked me this question. "This is my first time I said stammering. "Aur tumhara? I asked, hoping it would be his first time too. "Actually yeh mera first blind date hai. I relaxed at his response. "...but theen char baar main normal date pe gaya hoon. He added. My expression became sour " ab khana khaye I said with a fake smile. I couldn't decipher why my expressions changed.

Sameer started talking about his first experience at that very restaurant but all his words were going over my head and only his image stayed in my head. It seemed as if his voice had become inaudible, I could only here faint music coming from the guitar that was being played at the restaurant. He had a charm in his smile and had an enticing aura around himself that would attract anyone. I lost track of the surrounding and my full concentration was upon him.

Suddenly he snapped his fingers and I came back to reality. "Naina tum sun rahi ho na. "haa.aan I said straightening up myself. I looked down and pulled my hair behind my ear in embarrassment.

We finished eating and when Sameer said "Rohan aur Preeti pass mein hi, ek mall mein hai tum chaho toh hum wah jha sakte hai. I nodded in approval.

We walked till the entrance of the hotel , when Sameer said "Naina tum yahi pe ruk mein bike lekar aata hoon. "Bike I said shocked.

"Haan main bike pe ayaa tha toh bike pe hi jaunga na he said casually. "Don't worry I won't do rash driving, you will be safe he said with a wink.

He brought his bike to the main entrance and I sat behind him. I was in a dilemma whether to hold onto him or not and finally I decided to hold his shoulders. I knew I blushed once my hands came in contact with his shoulders which didn't go unnoticed by him.

He adjusting his mirror, he said "waise blush karti huyi cute lagti ho tum he said with a playful smile and I nearly gasped at his comment.

We arrived at the parking of the mall and Sameer called Rohan and told him to come to the parking if they were done. Within five minutes Rohan and Preeti came to the parking.

"Toh phir... Bye. Sameer said with a shy smile on his face. I smiled back at him and said "bye and waved at him and he waved back.
