Just one point - i wud equally condemn Arujn's act however i wasnt active on this forum during those time

I definitely appreciate your concern and raising voice about this issue..

but one needs to understand the context, the premise, and the era thy r trying to tell the story about..

What I feel is u all r miffed bcoz its not about the characters.. its about Sameer , the hero.. and we all want him to b perfect, he shud always b the role model that we seek.. never make a single humanly mistake or sin!

but makers here r just trying to tell a story.. and the lead character does regret not taking a stance..

and what about him still hanging out with those friends u ask? Well, everyone has to pay a price for their mistakes..

so I would keep faith in CVs and let them show how Sameer pays the price..

Regarding Arjun, he was always a hopeless character.. he never took stance for his sister let alone Shefali..

how can headstrong feminist girl like Shefali fall for him, I would rather make an issue about it.. 😆

i here m not against male lead, i m here for women young gals treated badly... read the story of Asifa u will understand what i m saying... i wud hv been equally pissed if any other person had done that not just the male lead. i pointed male lead since he was a spectator of the act...

i m from Gujarat and i know how safe place it is... its actually the best and safest place i can count on

its the hurt a women goes through wen a man advances without her consent
its the hurt tht in a crowded place ur breasts r grabbed
its the hurt wen u bend down to take some thing n the hovering eyes r just waiting to latch u
its the hurt that small child kept in care of a known man and in return u get the deadbody of the child

leave it i dont want to discuss like u dint wanted to

Or may b just had not introduced this eve teasing track looking at how the things r in our country.

There r many mawali things like taking hafta vasooli, getting free stuff from everyone, pick pocketing... but why why choose this shit

i second u dhruvi... Cvs have taken enough creative liberties before too... They showed sameer tolerating all kind of rude behavior during his stint in Agarwal house and behaving like a bahu in the name of love... Then why not show this?... Infact respecting women is one quality which was always there in him.

Dearest Girl, I came back and m replying again bcoz I was touched by the ferocity u have shown taking a stance for this poor girl Asifa.

Understanding your context, I definitely support that. I 200% agree with u on this issue.

Have a 10 year old niece.. so u can understand in what fear we live in this age.. so u can count on me in in raising voice against such things..

Child abuse and women abuse was rampantly prevalent in those age as well.. had I been enuf mature in that age or being at a receiving end.. my stance would've been definitely different.. my dad actually taught us martial arts to defend ourselves..gauging the changing society ..

and if u ask if my husband or men in my friends circle would've taken a stance, yes they would've definitely taken a stance for any random girl if things went out of hand.. and I m proud that I married a man with firm solid values.. and have friends who can stand firmly for a girl..

So rest assured the world is not that bad place as it seems.. and lessons start from home.. we teach boys to behave.. and hence we are seeing a huge change in mindset of society these days..👍🏼

My answer was purely in context of the storyline and ppl judging Sameer on basis of it. 😳 Please don't take it otherwise.

btw, the film that impacted me most and sow the seeds of feminism in my young tender age was..

Dimple Kapadia's Zakhmi Aurat ..

where in the raped women get revenge by castrating the rapists...

this film was of 1988.. and I wonder it took how many years for us women to come to this present stage asking for justice..

and its not jst India, the phenomenon is global.. we still have Harvey Weinsteins.. and unequal paychecks!

its not about any mistake, its about eve teasing. Sameer was always shown to respect women.

In thsi mawali track, if he was shown smoking, drinking, fighting, playing cards.. that could have been treated as mistakes done in peer pressure. I was hoping the eve teasing incident would be an eye opener for him and he would distant himself with these boys. But they showed this in the first meeting and he is still hanging out with them. And they were not just commenting but they were shown physically abusive as well,

Sameer's character got butchered very badly.
Right from the beginning the qualities viewers adored in Sameer was his honesty, integrity, him valuing friendship and his respect for women.
He might have been irresponsible, he might have taken decisions in anger but never once he was shown being dishonest or demeaning any girl or ignoring his friends.

HIs consciousness was always intact. Even when he got the key to the cupboard where questions papers were kept, he did not cheat. Infact his need was much more then. He was desperate to become "Head Boy", yet he did not choose the wrong way.

Boredom cannot change any person to this extent.

I am sorry CVs, you lost a lot of loyal viewers of this show due to this track of yours.

If your idea is to show that Sameer is lucky to have Naina in his life and that he cannot function in an honest manner without her guidance, it is nonsense.

The best part of their pair was that they complemented each other so well and they cared for each other and were there for each other as their strengths.

Both were lucky to have each other. Showing one person as "Mahaan" and other as a "Kamina" is surely not the way the show should have gone.

Completely agree. Sam's character is shown to be completely dependent on Naina's existence. If Naina is there , he will behave else he will succumb to peer pressure and choose the wrong way. This kind of character assassination was not expected at this juncture. In fact Sam wasn't like this even before he came to Ahmedabad. A severe jolt is needed to knock some senses into him now. Hope CVs do justice and mend the damage done. And considering the atrocities against women in today's society, for once the CVs could have taken the liberty to portray a male lead as one who would respect women atleast by showing Sam's guilt.
