since thats the crisis nation is been seeing since ages, they themselves created a character who doesnt welcome gestures from Kamya, doesnt deosnt take advantage of Naina, and many more instance - such people are also rare... so why not show him stand instantly for the very own trait he already has? why showing peer pressure crumbling can happen on moral ethical issues?

they do take creative liberty in many things. so why not show that he can b Mahaan for once again and beat the hell out of those guys

theres always been huge cry for paper stealing then why not eve teasing???

Dhruvi, I think the same. TV is a very large platform. It should be used to make people learn. Right from Arjun walking away happily after cheating in exams as well as cricket match to this silent witnessing of eve teasing by Sameer (Though he does stop his friends but in the end unhi ke paas chala bhi jata hai) should not have been shown.
I also agree to what other people are saying. Eve teasing is prevalent in our society. No body can deny that. But Sameer standing against it, supporting the girl and leaving his friends on their own would have had a much greater impact on the audiences.

And as I already said, so many days have passes in Delhi. Even if sameer now stands against his friends, I won't be able to connect with his justifications.

Every show has this habit of justifying whatever the male lead does using his upbringing or bad childhood as an excuse... People buy it easily too which is disturbing to the core.
Yes u r right... We as a nation is still struggling with women's rights even after having so many laws in favour of women... Its because of those mute spectators too who doesn't stand up against wrong things... Each and every person are responsible for this... As a women, i can say that almost all the women have been a victim of some kind of abuse in their lives.
Boys will be boys is the most abused phrase to justify the actions of boys/men... For whatever reason, they shouldn't have shown sameer supporting those guys.

i totally agree to all the points Simi... and for once i had wished the CVs cud hv taken the creative liberty and had shown Sameer not tolerating it

Or may b just had not introduced this eve teasing track looking at how the things r in our country.

There r many mawali things like taking hafta vasooli, getting free stuff from everyone, pick pocketing... but why why choose this shit

What is more shocking is that this is the same Sameer who was ok to get trashed by Rakesh to save Naina's honor.
And he beat up the bet boys when they spoke badly about Naina

Even when Kamya confessed her love for him, he behaved like a gentleman

Today him seeing in the gang of molesters is very disturbing.

The attitude that till it hurts someone I know, I will be a mute spectator is such a bad example to show on national TV

Is this the principal men should follow? If so, very unfortunate.

Just pasting my ans to ur comment from my thread..

I agree eveteasing is wrong and supporting it is definitely wrong..

but this is 90s show and the awareness and openness to take a firm stand that we have these days was not present then..

yes.. if that girl is related to u or known to u.. the boys would definitely take a strong stance.. like the brother of that girl did..

but to take a stance for a girl unknown in an unknown city was never heard of.. in that era.. ppl were in general wary to get into such ruckus for danger of their lives..

I don't know abt Delhi.. but Gujarat was quiet a safer place for girls..so I cannot really comment on boys behaviour in general of that era.. but as per what I had seen in films, eve teasing was taken as a trivial thing.. unless it went out of hand.. and resorted to serious molesting..

so yeah.. I m being okay with him regretting that stance today.. for me his stance was okay considering that era..

If it were Naina, his mom or his sis or any of those girls he knew personally he would've definitely taken a strong stance..

also do u remember Arjun not taking a stance for Shefali in cricket practice? At least this boy had guts to accept the misbehaviour of his friends and ask for sorry..

This is my view point abt this issue..

but before judging him or CVs any further on this issue I would like to see the complete track.. 😳

This is just my POV on this subject and I don't want to rake this issue any further than this.. 😳

They themselves showed him mahan before but thats what bothers me is CVs take so much liberty then why not take liberty one more time and show him Mahan and stand up for such things...

and if they cud not show this, they better had not introduced this thing at all... many other things in mawali track cud have been shown sparing the eve teasing...

@Correct Mehraan:

If anything, the films of 70s, 80s and 90s promoted teasing, objectifying women, having derogatory misogynistic remarks, comments, dialogues abt females characters.. let alone heroines..

cannot see a single film without cringing today..

but I remember enjoying those very songs for the catchy beats of it.. 😆

Dhruvi,I respect your statement, but however CVS might have analyzed before showing it on screen
1. Thy r showing how the innocent soul is enrouting to different route and not showing eve teasing girls
2. Thy have also showed how sameer vo is depending for the action

3 . we have to wait for CVS to unfold .
4 . this track is unlike mt. Abu track so fans need to hold the patience ,how everyone is going yo MU sameer .

Thy have shown very limit, n this is happening today also how guys comments on girls .

Sam wen such bad things r already happening they can show things which will promote people to stand up or even find it disgusting to indulge in such act... just because the older VO regrets it, it doesnt justify the act... even if later Sameer does something n protects some other gal he allowed it to happen once...

just read through Asifa case and you will come to know how dreadful it is... so i just wanted to CV to use their creative liberty and show Sameer Mahan again by beating those guys instead of being a mute spectator... which again was very much part of his inbuilt qualities shown earlier...

or if they cant do that they cud hv chosen many other ways of showing this mawali thing
