Hi Nivi,
Thank you for the post and the analysis..interesting thoughts in the thread posts..👏
A difficult episode for most of us to watch as the characters in whom we are emotionally invested have landed themselves in pain/difficult situations at almost the same time 😲. I cannot help but admire how writers are approaching this track of separation and its impact on all involved..But, then that's life isn't it..
Dadi - have reconciled to the fact that she will keep trying until she gets Sameer out of Somani household. Her character is written on these lines. Day 1 - even a few hours hadn't passed after Sameer landing in Delhi and there she was talking abt sending him off to a hostel. She won't rest until her aim is achieved. We are expecting some kind of subtelty wrt to Dadi and her plans, but I guess because of the demands of trp/drama quotient we will get to see in your face nastiness and evil planning.
Yesterday it was interesting that it was Sameer's VO which spoke abt Shanthi teacher and Naina - so S and N have shared everything that happened during their separation ⭐️ - not a single point left - even MUndit fighting..Shanthi teacher and Naina scene was beautifully done.. and what are teachers for if they cannot go beyond just teaching and try to understand the students.
Feeling sad for Munna and Pandit - especially Munna whom you are rightly call Sam's mummy - unable to deal with Sameer not being with them
Sameer's current state - I am not a parent, but have faced these kinds of situations when I was into teaching some 20 yrs ago in a semi rural-urban place. Taught kids of middle school and my final year as a teacher was being the class teacher of class 10 - this to me until date is the emotionally challenging phase in my professional life. Sameer's dilemma with smoking - glad that he remembered N on time brought back memories of me having to handle a couple of boys of that age whom I got to know were into experimenting with smoking. Kids getting into bad company is the worry/nightmare of every parent and teacher. There was also the influence of a nearby college crowd..Fortunately the school had a good counsellor and let me confess that I also resorted to emotional kasam😳😳 that I took from them worked at that time..I had to get them to promise that until they become responsible individuals they will concentrate on their studies and focussing on a career was to be their goal. Involving parents - fortunately was handled by the counsellor..
In this discussion, would like to bring in Violette's thread⭐️ - The Goalless And Unfocussed Life Of Sameer Maheshwari - Random Musings -http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4975737. This sums up Sameer's current situation so beautifully.
Whether it is a teenager or a grownup, many of us have the habit of coming home and generally talking about how our day was, happy -difficult moments etc, our friends..Naina is lucky that way - she has Preeti - her sounding board..
In Somani's household, haven't seen this at all. There is absolutely no open line of communication even between Vishakha and Rohan - so how can we expect with Sameer. Maybe because Rohan's life revolves around a timetable, Vishakha isn't aware that Sameer has lot to share?? his boredom, loneliness, frustration - why does not she see these things.. Have no answers for these questions - wish writers explore these.. but have no hopes..😔
Will wait patiently to see how the track of Sameer's redemption unfolds.. but I am dreading the scenes where I have to watch him smoke or get into more trouble just cos he is rebelling and does not bother abt anyone anymore..it will be a total breakdown or complete regression of Sameer's character sketch
Sorry for the long post - Nivi- felt like sharing a few persona experiences..
