Hi Nivi,

Thank you for the post and the analysis..interesting thoughts in the thread posts..👏

A difficult episode for most of us to watch as the characters in whom we are emotionally invested have landed themselves in pain/difficult situations at almost the same time 😲. I cannot help but admire how writers are approaching this track of separation and its impact on all involved..But, then that's life isn't it..

Dadi - have reconciled to the fact that she will keep trying until she gets Sameer out of Somani household. Her character is written on these lines. Day 1 - even a few hours hadn't passed after Sameer landing in Delhi and there she was talking abt sending him off to a hostel. She won't rest until her aim is achieved. We are expecting some kind of subtelty wrt to Dadi and her plans, but I guess because of the demands of trp/drama quotient we will get to see in your face nastiness and evil planning.

Yesterday it was interesting that it was Sameer's VO which spoke abt Shanthi teacher and Naina - so S and N have shared everything that happened during their separation ⭐️ - not a single point left - even MUndit fighting..Shanthi teacher and Naina scene was beautifully done.. and what are teachers for if they cannot go beyond just teaching and try to understand the students.

Feeling sad for Munna and Pandit - especially Munna whom you are rightly call Sam's mummy - unable to deal with Sameer not being with them

Sameer's current state - I am not a parent, but have faced these kinds of situations when I was into teaching some 20 yrs ago in a semi rural-urban place. Taught kids of middle school and my final year as a teacher was being the class teacher of class 10 - this to me until date is the emotionally challenging phase in my professional life. Sameer's dilemma with smoking - glad that he remembered N on time brought back memories of me having to handle a couple of boys of that age whom I got to know were into experimenting with smoking. Kids getting into bad company is the worry/nightmare of every parent and teacher. There was also the influence of a nearby college crowd..Fortunately the school had a good counsellor and let me confess that I also resorted to emotional kasam😳😳 that I took from them worked at that time..I had to get them to promise that until they become responsible individuals they will concentrate on their studies and focussing on a career was to be their goal. Involving parents - fortunately was handled by the counsellor..

In this discussion, would like to bring in Violette's thread⭐️ - The Goalless And Unfocussed Life Of Sameer Maheshwari - Random Musings -http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4975737. This sums up Sameer's current situation so beautifully.

Whether it is a teenager or a grownup, many of us have the habit of coming home and generally talking about how our day was, happy -difficult moments etc, our friends..Naina is lucky that way - she has Preeti - her sounding board..

In Somani's household, haven't seen this at all. There is absolutely no open line of communication even between Vishakha and Rohan - so how can we expect with Sameer. Maybe because Rohan's life revolves around a timetable, Vishakha isn't aware that Sameer has lot to share?? his boredom, loneliness, frustration - why does not she see these things.. Have no answers for these questions - wish writers explore these.. but have no hopes..😔

Will wait patiently to see how the track of Sameer's redemption unfolds.. but I am dreading the scenes where I have to watch him smoke or get into more trouble just cos he is rebelling and does not bother abt anyone anymore..it will be a total breakdown or complete regression of Sameer's character sketch

Sorry for the long post - Nivi- felt like sharing a few persona experiences..

Hi Nivi... Trying to keep my promise of joining in daily..!! 😃
The episode for me was like a chapter of a storybook where nothing jumps out drastically, but if you take the time to read properly, you would know there are so many hidden gems inside.

The most brilliant gem was Naina - the shy demure girl is finally standing up for her love... the calm composed manner in which she defended her love "galat bhi to nai hai"... I whistled and cheered and clapped for her... The Naina I have been waiting for since so long is finally breaking through the barriers... (Those who have read my SS would completely understand my excitement on seeing this Naina)

Second shiny gem but with a layer of dust, Sameer's VO after the fight. A round of applause for the CVs for touching such a sensitive topic of eve teasing and doing complete justice to it. Teenager Sameer crumbled under peer-pressure and fought when he saw his so-called friends being beaten up. But the CVs also kept in track with the growth we have seen in Sameer's character. As soon as the fight was over, he realized what he had done. How wrong he was to not speak up before when his friends were teasing those girls. Truly said by the VO, as much wrong as it is to participate in such crimes, it is even more wrong to be a silent witness to such an act. 👏

Last and the final precious gem - friendship. The relation between friends is not always smooth sailing. Just like couples, friends also fight, there are misunderstandings. Friends can hurt each other. For SMP in the present scenario, they are like three wandering goalless souls. Lack of goal can cause damage. Sameer gets involved in galat aadat because of this. Till Sameer was in Ahmedabad, MunDit had goals, first the bet, then mission naina manao. Now the do not have anything to look forward. So they are indulging in friction... they want to trust each other, but them being together is not serving any purpose now.
Naina, Preeti, Swati are trying to re-form this bond between them. But what is needed once more is a goal - and I am hoping that goal will be their "Dilli chalo" misssion. Once they know, there's something they can do for Sameer, MunDit will be back in game. 👍🏼

I am not going to comment on Dadi or Somani Family today because they didn't have any impact on me - not good, not bad... 🥱
A few words on Shanti teacher - this is one character that has been framed with much thought... I can totally connect to her... I have had teachers in my life who were personally concerned about each of their students. They knew their personalities, they handwriting, their habits. I loved how Shanti teacher trusted Naina because she knew that Naina is a responsible girl. But at the same time she didn't back away from reprimanding her and trying to make her understand that sometimes consequences of love can be bad too. That hug between Naina and her was so nicely executed, after all unn dino, after our mother, our teachers knew us best. 👏👏

Let's not give up hope... The intricacies of relationships can be quite strenuous sometimes, and we should ideally applaud the CVs for not backing out of divulging in this. Only showing Samaina would have been too easy, but no story is complete without detailing to surroundings and people.

Thank you for the lovely analysis Nivi... 🤗

Love,
Mou

Hi Nivi
As usual awesome post, loved it.
There's too much to talk about the episode but running out of time.
Will comment next time.
Whatever it is but I am really feeling bad for Sameer, hope he comes out of this dark phase soon.
I just wish instead of making friendship with those boys he should have started writing poems which I really miss nowadays.

In early 90s, we did not have cable channels. It was just Doordarshan.
Yesterday Dadi told Deepika to watch cartoons on the TV right in the middle of the day in her room
There was no cartoon show on tv at those times.
Assuming Deepika had a TV and a VCR in her room along with lot of video cassettes of cartoons , why doesn't Rohan have a TV and VCR in his room?
If Rohan had a TV in his room, the cricket match drama that happened few days ago would not be there.
Sameer would not have felt bored as he could have watched some movies.

All these bloopers are only made to torture Sameer unnecessarily.

my heart goes for Munna and Pandit...even the strongest of the friendships see hard time...this is so true

dadi and her hair tucking antics...i hope deepika comes and tells that she didnt draw sameer...hurt sameer is better than lost sameer for me

the letter was funny for me...i was hoping that Rakesh would assume that it was for him from shanti teacher😆

Thanks a ton Nivi for the post and caps!!

Yes Soumya, I hope Deepika can show Daadi's true colors, sometimes kids in their innocence can do wonderful things.

SS can never imagine someone can write a love letter for me 😉😛😆

Kavi, Rohan cannot have a TV in his room, he has a timetable and TV is not his timetable ! Moreover he is in 10th or 11th and he is so serious about his studies that there is no room for TV.

Deepika having a TV in her room was kind of 😲 Which elementary kid has a TV in her own room or maybe Daadi meant watch TV in her (Dadi's) room.

Didn't Zee TV start in the early 90s ? I remember that was the one of the earlier cable channels started but it is used to start at 7 pm not earlier.

The episode was ok for me... but I really feel there is no need for this mawali gang drama😳
As it is Dadi and Somani are there to make his life a hell...and now this gang and the enmity with the opposite gang

Deepika scenes are always cute😛
But drawing manipulation ...obviously Dadi would do this😳

Shanti teacher with Naina scene was beautiful😃👏

Mundit fight was so depressing
Munna being so mature always... how did he fall into their trap so easily😕

I just hope our show is back on track soon😊
