Hi dear...thank you so much for the lovely note! Bada hai to aur acha hai :) Would love to know your thoughts in detail!
SSN was one of the intial stories I had read here.Though I am yet to complete LIMB,I felt SSN could be read without the prequel since I had landed on LIMB after having read till the rainy rendezvous at Darjeeling 😉 in SSN.
Oh is it? I'm so glad...yes LIMA was my first story ever...I was so inspired by the show...haha rains, hill stations are synonymous with romance as far as I'm concerned! I'm glad you liked the story! ❤️
I loved every bit of SSN.Your style of narrration was so simple and an absolute visual treat.Special mention for the introduction scene of the Sameer Swag Maheshwari(sach main it was almost like a hero's entry in movies),those stolen kisses in some hidden corners of colleges,Sameer's preparation for Naina's birthday and surprise, his act of being completely ignorant or having forgotten her birthday till almost 8 PM(bande main bahut patience hain),the BIG confession, all friends chipping in for the event in their own ways,Sameer reminiscing about his Nanu and the death scene (with Special Sur Di wala Tadka),Sameer meeting Chachaji,Sameer's need for his Mom's approval even though he never had her as a mother, the other love stories, the meeting of the families, the BIG wala twist with Rohan, the Lalita-Pawar mode of Mr Somani and the laalchi cheap Rakesh falling for Mr Somani's bait of money.
Awww you summarized the story till now so beautifully! Happy to see you liked the style of writing here...it's way different from EU...I don't know but I feel so! Sameer swag Maheshwari ko hero style entry diye bina mera dil deewana nahi maan raha tha...basically I wanted to summarize their moments, their fights, their romance in college till now in a fast foward mode till we get to the wedding scene...bande mein patience koot koot ke bhari hai (har cheez me nahi though :P)...and born planner to hai hi apna Sameer...glad you liked the proposal...Nanu ko nahi laa payi is story mein varna Sameer ka struggle nahi dikha paati...nanu would've protected his grandson from all malice- to Somani gang and Rakesh ka plan nahi chal paata...Sameer meeting chachaji n telling him the truth was what I'd wanted all along in the show!
Di your subtle expressions of love between Sam and Naina were so sweet that it could make even a non-believer like me yearn for love.I loved your version of the death scene,Nanu could see his bahu in his wife's saree before leaving this mortal world.Sameer giving so much importance to his Mom's approval even though he has been mother-less all his growing-up years and to Chachaji's acceptance increased my respect for him.The best was during the shaadi talks Vishakha giving back to Mr Somani when she denied anything as dowry and wanting only the girl her son had chosen for himself.
Thank you so much dear...pyaar mein bharosa rakho...aur kuch nahi to agar hum dil se kisi ki care karte hain to use aur humko dono ko khushi milti hai...jaise hum apne families se pyaar karte hain vaise hi koi aur hamari family ban jaata hai :) Nanu aur Naina ka wo scene dekhna tha yaar show mein...Vishakha and Chachaji ka approval matter karta hai for Samaina :) Dowry ka message bhi de diya! :) Kuch to acha kiya Vishakha ne!
But DI,Rohan was the surprise element of this story.I loved the twist.Aapne show ke positive character to villian banane ki jurat ki which according to me required lot of himmat. But I would name him Rotlu Rohan cause isse kuch hona nahi hai.Bas apne Papa ke saamne do aansu baha deta hai and apni baat manwa leta hai.Di I want aap iss gadhe ko auur iske baap ko ek baar yeh zarur sikhado ke marks se zindagi nahi chalti...
Hehe...thanks dear...hai to sahi...Rotlu Rohan...dusht hai but khud se nahi kar paata kuch! Uske liye bhi daddy chahiye! :P
Somani stooping so low so as to lure Rakesh using money was horrible. But aapne Rakesh ko usse bhi zyada gira hua dikha diya.In retrospect I found it so real and true. This happens and happens even today...
Wahi na...Rakesh ko Naina se pyaar tha hi kab! :( Wo kami, wo pyaar asal mein Sameer ne use diya!
But what had my heart and soul was Rakesh taunting Sameer ,Sorry I don't remember whether he knows ki Arjun stole the papers.Though what he said was absolute truth. What was hurting was it was not that he chose Arjun over Naina, but rather he found self-respect in money and social positions.
He knew dear...that's what I wrote in LIMA but akad hai uski! 😡Sunane ke liye aur suna diya isne Sameer ko! Bacchon se zyada Rakesh is concerned about his own money, fame and his own ambitions is what he strives to fulfill through Arjun!
I loved Sameer's interaction with his Mom.Rakesh and Somani's taunts leading to the outburst gave an insight into Sameer's father.Aapke charan kahan hain DI.That was a BLOCKBUSTER...Now all I want you to show is the ACTUAL SWINDLER being Somani.Maza aajayega!!!But the resulting conversation between Vishakha and Sam was like a pain balm for Sameer and the readers alike.Felt like an actual Mother-son conversation
Aww thanks dear! Personally, I felt that since Sameer's dad was kept under wraps for long...there must be some mystery behind him...but then CVs did not take it up! :( And yes, mother-son heart to heart convo to banti hai na...I always think that Vishakha, if she really loved her first husband, would think about him sometimes at least! And yes, let's see who the actual culprit was...your demand is something I've been thinking about but haven't decided on it :) I will give it more thought!
Now coming to this update.
Di.meri demand already rakh chuki hun.For all the horrendous mental torture Sameer had to go through, please show Somani as the real culprit.Karma has to strike this Idiot.
My respect for Sameer increased when he did not give up,rather took it upon himself to prove it to the world.
Loved, infact delighted at that "Rohan Bhaiya".Bande ko uski aukat dikha di.Bada chala hai Sainya banne, bhaiya banne ke layak bhi nahi...Rotlu Gadha kahin ka!!!
Naina trust in Rohan was so misplaced!!! If I have interpreted right probably Somani ne usse business auur ghar dono se nikal diya hai.Mujhe aise kyun lag raha hai ki Ghar apne naam karne mein bhi Somani ne Nanu ke saath koi chal chali hai!!!
Di,I cried while going through the paragraph jahan banda puri raat raaste pe sone ke baad ,ek hotel mein freshen up hoke pura din bina kuch khaye, infact bina pani peeye naukri dhundta raha.I SALUTE this Sameer for his determination.
Munna Pandit jaise dost hon toh life kitne aasaan hojaati hai na...Aise dost aaj kal kahan milte hain DI.They are the real family of Sameer.Stood by him when even his own mother abandoned him on the streets.Loved it when their first question was "tune kuch khaya?" and Munna's Marwari-wala sauda!!!
Aww thanks a lot dear! Mundit jaise dost ho..aur Naina jaisi lady love to bhala Sameer haar sakta hai...but this starting from zero thing is because I wanted to show that Sameer is fully capable of building an empire by himself...he's inherited business sense from his nanu..just that till now, circumstances didn't force him to realize his true potential...Somani aur Rohan ko to haarna hi hai!
PS:Di,what i love in both SSN and EU is you have made Sameer give it back to that Somani...Wahan Sam ne ussi ki dubti business ko best bana diya and yahan I am sure Sam - Somani ki takkar kuch aisi hogi ki Somani uske saamne khud jhukega...Bas this time don't let Sam forgive Somani if Somani is found the culprit and not Sameer's Dad...
Waiting for the roller-coaster you have planned for us...Rohan ko dhul chatane ki and Somani ki chori saamne laane ki.Wishing more strength to your creative instincts,
Ohh...that's such an interesting observation dear...it's right that Sameer is actually standing upto Somani in both these stories (well show mein bhi he does the same :) and that's one thing I like about Sameer a lot)
I hope you like the way I steer both my stories ahead! :) ❤️
Loads of love Di,
Ria.
