Rajiv Gandhi assassination reminds me of something.
One of our friend's 18th birthday celebration was on that day. It was in a famous restaurant and for the first time we were going to a party which was not in somebody's house and without vigilance of seniors. We were super excited and due to Rajiv Gandhi's assassination most of our parents did not allow us to go there. We were group of 17 boys and girls. No girl was permitted to go only 4 boys could make it.😔

So much beautiful and crazy memories are attached to those days. Thanks to the serial for giving us a ride through the memory lane.

So sad..Times were difficult then and now also unrest in campuses and cities are troubling. The good thing is that we are able to communicate easily about our whereabouts.😳

It was horrible the way he was assassinated. I am sure it was a tense period.

PVKM people go to flirt, romance and play cricket and do Romeo & Juliet play where ladka kisses ladki's hand in a conservative area, school and time when during those days girls and boys apparently couldnt even be seen talking to each other.😕

Hi Koyel... after a long time. Remember me? 😃

i remember that day in May 1991... I was in Chennai. The whole city was in a state of confusion for some days. There were no major incidents, maybe one or two since it was so close to the assassination site. But I remember it was an eerie calm... we were all stuck at home for fear of violence. Thankfully nothing happened... and then for the first few months there were many raids in the city in search of those terrorists... so it was tense.
