First of all, hats off to u Minu, for writing such a brilliant post!!šŸ‘
Parenting is d biggest responsibility for anyone..if it's not done properly, it can ruin someone's life!!

Taiji chahe jitti bhi buri ho, tane marti ho, chugalkhor ho..but ek acchi maa h!! She always ensures betterment of her child n gives him so much of love n care!! Isliye aaj Pralay ki shaitani se kisi ko dard nhi hota

Agarwals chahe kuch bhi karein..unki parenting bohot acchi h!! Especially chacha chachi ki..Naina, Preeti, Pooja teeno hi kabhi kisi ko hurt krne ki nhi sochti!!

But Vishakha aur dadi Somani ne pata nhi kya sikhaya h Deepika ko..she seriously isn't a kid for me!! I mean kaunsa baccha ye sautela n all jaisi baatein krta h..humko to kirayedar ko kirayedar bolne pe bhi dant padti thi..aur wo itti si bacchi hoke stepbrother n all bol rhi h!! Dadi ne ne seriously bacchi ki innocence ko khatam kr diya

Sameer ko parents ka pyaar nhi mila..he knows how it feels when your own parents don't love n care for u..for sure he'll be a very good parent!!😳

Unreserve****

First of all thank you for making this post! Very much needed lesson to this generation parents! I don't blame anything because everything has a solution however, the current generation parents are mostly working with no time left for their children and this makes very difficult for them to imbibe good virtues in their child. Nevertheless, nothing is impossible and they can do it according to their convenience. It would be very difficult to change the bad habits and attain the good ones later on in life so this is extremely crucial. Thus, if someone asks my opinion on this matter, I would say being strict is not depriving kids from the entertainment they want to get instead that is going to help them later on. The technology is playing the main villian with parents giving away mobiles to even toddlers when they cry just to stop them from crying! Giving such materialistic things when they cry or demand eventually makes them think that money can buy happiness and also money is the most important thing in life. Parents are actually teaching them that human relations and values are not at all important!

Looking to the show, you are absolutely correct about Pralay and Deepika and how their upbringing reflects on their behaviour at such a young age! Children definitely grasp more than adults and they become aware of the surroundings they are brought up in!

I may sound strict and weird but scolding children is not always a wrong thing. What western countries have taught children that call the police if parents beat or scold you is absolutely stupid! It isn't good to beat them but scolding is definitely healthy. This is my POV.

P.S. By far the most amazing topic which the 2000s era parents need to understand!

Parenting is an art...an art which every parent performs/draws in his own way...to be more precise according to his convenience and situation ...
It is always convenient for a person to take out flaws and correct people...the only thing which he is expected to do is change this behavior when he becomes a parent...Vishakha as a mother didn't change herself...she remained on the convenient path of taking out flaws...She didn't change for her child but she expected her child to change... but how can a child change himself when she didn't teach him to do so...She just put her demands on the table for Sameer but teach with him love and care on how to fulfill these..
Nanu on the other hand corrected him with love and a proper explanation on why cheating was wrong and that's why till date he hasn't committed the crime of cheating...
As mentioned by you, children imitate adults. We all have done that as kids because as a kid we think it to be the most appropriate thing to do, imitate the adults whom we look up to.
Rakesh whose ultimate goal in life is to just be big and rich, and get things done by hook or crook, couldn't teach his son to get things in life ethically. His son eventually just imitates him and gets things in life without even thinking about ethics.
Naina who hasn't got love from her father, also has exhibited initially a minute streak of selfishness in her character, because of the lack of security from both the parents. But fortunately getting shielded by Bela and Anand's love, she has turned out to be a lovable and understanding human being. So finally what was Rakesh supposed to give his children was love, security, care, integrity and morality but he couldn't give it, just like Vishakha.

Infact I believe Parents can make or break nations. A nation is known by the mentality and thinking of its younger and new generation, who brought up well by their parents can change the world or be a part in destroying the world.

Beautifully you have elucidated all.Your analysis of Naina is lit.šŸ‘šŸ‘ Thank you dear 😃

Hey Minu, again a brilliantly written and expressed post! Like always hum toh aapke sabse badde fan hai😳
Anyways I know I am very latešŸ˜† I wanted to comment the moment I saw the post but couldn't make the time. Okay I know all have described upbringing of the all character's in our show pretty well. And honestly I can't say it in any better way. So won't add there.

I actually wanted to say something about Vishakha as I feel this post is the right place to discuss this aspect. I have even seen some people feel Vishakha shouldn't be judged so harshly giving her past life a benefit of doubt.

Okay for this I will use the quote of Shree Gauri Savant ji who appeared on Super Dancer Season 2, who is a transgender social activist, 'Don't label motherhood, motherhood is a behavior, anyone can be a mother, it's not about the gender, motherhood is about loving,' Maybe these were not the exact words but the summary looks like this. She explained it so effortlessly, being a woman I never realized it and always fumbled during such discussions but she made it so clear in my eyes. I am not judging Vishakha as a woman or her character or her second marriage was justified or not or what was her past misery. You know all these things have zero impact on your motherhood. Like Gauri ji said it is a behavior, it is a trait you need to earn, It can be earned by anyone, any gender. Here I would say it is also same with parenting. Likewise Sameer used to call nanu his mother, his maa because Nanu had that maamta which his own mother couldn't offer him. We,as women, often think or assume that by nature we are gifted motherhood, but it's not so easy. Motherhood is also like those qualities which need to be practiced and earned.

In today's life, specially with educated women, it is often found that they don't give proper time to their children. Those who don't want to have kids are far better than those who give birth to kids and don't know how to give the enough time, enough affection, enough care. I find Vishakha also as one of those women who don't know how to handle kids or give them proper love. And I am not saying that she is a bad woman for this but yes she is a bad mother. No way anyone can justify this. Second marriage,I wholeheartedly support her on this. Why she needs to sacrifice her life? But at the same time she is a mother, it was her prime duty to first be sensible at that. She failed there.
