Usually the Asthi is collected within1-3 days and immersed wherever the family wants to right away. Unless it's not possible to do it right away then it's done later as in your Nanaji' s case a year later.

I guess different regions follow rituals differently.

It's a comedy video...reminded me of YUDKBH...But furniture promotion is just unfit 😆
