Been seeing the spoilers and hints that are everywhere since past few days. There definitely is an air of disappointment around, but I have been trying to find if it can offer something positive.
So based on an assumption that majority of the spoilers are true, and connecting few dots they have dropped in the story all along, here is a long summary of what I have gathered.
* The team has been shooting at a very fast pace but if you notice, the Shaadi track is going extremely slow -dragging to be precise. Which means they are building up a bank of a good number of episodes, sufficient to be aired for almost a month or even more before the separation track.
* Probably Randeep is undergoing weight gain/body transformation, for the post leap looks. The more the time, the better the results. Also if a leap is on the cards, they need new location set ups, new characters etc.
* In the weeks from now, they would show development of Naina and Sam's relationship with some cute moments. Also they would add sequences to bring the school academic year (11th std) to a closure. The farewell and maybe exams even.
* Nanu's death seems too credible to be just a rumour, so that might actually happen. He has also been saying things like "he feels secured about Sam's future that Naina is with him now". Indicative much?
* The Somanis shifting to Ahmedabad after Nanu's death is logical enough, but it can cause a creative stagnation. With Naina and Sameer having turned a couple already, how much more can they show ahead without being repetitive? Romantic and nok jhok sequences can be shown (a few I guess they will, anyway), but that wouldn't offer any progress to the story.
* Naina and Sameer are the protagonists of the show. It's their love story. To keep the show interesting, THEIR story should be eventful and dynamic. It should go through ups and downs. Otherwise the focus will be onto a possible Somani-Sameer-Rohan track, which can't be that interesting to watch beyond a point. Sameer's equation with his family is a vital point of the show, I don't think they would fix it this early. They would probably save it for future. That leaves Delhi shifting the only possible option.
* I don't think that anything, even the question paper issue would create a serious misunderstanding between Naina and Sameer now. They have moved beyond such things. I feel the separation is forced. They badly want to be together, but probably their families came to know and decided to act. At least the Aggarwal's.
* Will Naina continue in Ahmedabad? I doubt that. If the relationship comes in front of the families, their aim would be to separate them for real. Even if Sam moves to Delhi, with his friends Munna, Pandit and also Swati and Preeti around, Naina would still practically be accessible to him. So they probably would Naina to somewhere else. Vanasthali? Or any other place?
* And here I'm reminded of Bua Dadi's Not-too-random prediction about Naina going to Mumbai. What if Naina is moved to Mumbai??
Sameer might know that Naina has moved to Mumbai. And Naina knows that Sam is in Delhi. But that's it. They probably don't have the means to connect better. They are tied down by families.
It is natural for us to hope for an all-good happy love story. But it's practically difficult. The makers here have to strike a balance between many things. They should keep it on a promising note, at the same time create complications enough to keep the story moving forward. They can't afford character assassinations or irrelevant parallel tracks. It should be logical but also aesthetic at the same
time.
What I feel is that, Sameer and Naina will be separated not willingly, but out of force. They would have tried to meet one last time, but probably they weren't allowed to. They did not get a chance to promise to come back to each other.
The timeline would progress with Sameer and Naina making promises in their minds that, they will find each other, some day and complete their story. That they will, find light at the end of the dark tunnel.
Post Leap :
I think once out of school, Sameer would be on a mission to find Naina. With whatever little information he has of her, he would find a way out to end up in the same city as hers, find her and rekindle their love.
But obviously it is easier said that done. They would need to rise up again. As they had moved to new places, they would have undergone certain changes by choice or by force(not negative). New challenges would have come up.
I don't think they can afford to lose vital characters like Munna, Pandit, Swathi and Preethi. So they too would mark their presence at appropriate points. Only their physical togetherness would be absent.
So post leap, a new innings of their story would unfold in a new setting.
----- End ------
PS :
As I already mentioned, this is just an assumption or probably a wish of mine, to make the leap and separation (if inevitable) harmless, meaningful, positive but with enough scope for an eventful future.
Why I would prefer something like this to Sam taking up business is that, in this case, the story's focus would always be on Sam and Naina.
Do let me know your thoughts on this.
