But one thing I wanna bring out.. ..
Tell me if you do wrong to someone intentionally due to any damn reason... can you then ever look up into the eyes of that person ... leave aside beating and almost strangulating him

Here Arjun knows he was the culprit... still he is all gunda attitude in front of the trio... and almost strangulated Sameer... and now also what he is doing... there isn't a meek sense of wrong doing or guilt in him... otherwise he can't even dare to look up to Sameer if that realisation was there in him😡

So according to me he is an absolute loser and doesn't deserve any sympathy 😡

Hi bhd😛...beautifully pointed out the bold...⭐️
Arjun seems to b losing his conscience too these days.

He did not feel a sense of remorse seeing the insults ...slaps..suspension coming Sameer's way..instead accepts the headboy tag. But if u c then, he did have guilt which Naina sensed and caught him on stealing act.

Shockingly for the wheelchair act, he quickly hatched up a plan and attacked the wounded heart of Naina which was already wounded due to Sameer's bet. He knew she wont believe Sameer at this point of time. So it was easy for him to blame Sameer. Sadly now his fear of losing is hovering over his evil mind and feels no guilt for the same.

It can b rectified if chachaji somehow gets to know how this guy is trapping himself in the web of deceit and lies and talks to him ...makes him understand...else he is going to go worse.

Hi Souhasini...@bold a bit on this...😊.

No one is entirely black nor white...but grey...v do commit mistakes at times and realise them and not repeat it again. Here circumstances were worse for Sammy and Arjun. Both were challenged. Both were to b judged on a sport and an exam. Both had expectations from their parents. It was Arjun's father's dream and Sammy's mother's desire to c him responsible. Both were under pressure. But Arjun chose the easy and wrong way...Sammy chose the right and the difficult way. Arjun was determined he had to get the headboy tag by hook or crook ...but Sammy though was provided with all easy methods for a win, he chose honesty.

I can sympathise with Sammy today but i cant with Arjun. At all junctures of life, there r always more than one way of doing it. Some choose easy and quick way and lose their ethics. Some work it out in a determined ...dedicated way which is difficult but earns u ethics.😊

Circumstances and situations may or may not b in one's favour...but ultimately restricting our mind to flaw or not is always in one's capacity which shapes a character.

I hope through Arjun they will be able to bring out this aspect. Parental pressure was such a reality back in the days, it might be there even now but it is fairly better I think now.

I feel Rakesh won't realize his mistake of pressuring till something happens to Arjun, maybe Arjun will attempt suicide. Seeing him on death bed Rakesh might realize his mistake. Teen suicides rates because of pressure especially in board exams was a common news during exam time.

You said it right,, All his (Arjun)principles, honesty, sanskaars are getting burdened by the pressure and he is losing his character.

Thank u Dixie😛

Parenting plays the most vital part in a family. Here itself, V c 3 kids...Preeti, Arjun and Naina under the same roof but different parenting. Preeti tried to make 17 of the 7 marks she had got in the initial epis. 😆But it was handled well by Bela and Anand.

Children should not fear their parents. They should respect their parents. In fear, children tend to commit mistakes. In respect, guilt often prevents them from committing mistakes.

as far i understood arjun , he has been always made to feel nothing but a way to make his father's ambition come true.. he feels frustrated and demeaned by his own father .. so Arjun has seen as taking the easy / immoral route of stealing or lying to get by ..

both brother and sister can't speak up to their father esp. .. both need to get enough confidence to stand for right and keep their side in front of elders

he takes out his frustrations and anger on others i.e shefali and sameer .. its not right but u can see why he is like that ..

hopefully arjun will be able face the pressure and be a stand up guy .. hopefully cvs can tackle this issue we'll get to see a more confident arjun and maybe a happier rakesh too

Hi BLR😛..@ bold .great points

Preeti is able to stand for the right and speak up her mind ...just cos her parents share a beautiful bond with her and their openness enables Preeti to b herself, respect their opinion and present hers. Taiji often puts off her comments but Preeti still makes it a point to speak out.😆...That is the right environment for a child to grow. Not instil fear in them but provide confidence in them to speak up and know their mind.

I dont know what will reform Safari Suit but hopefully it should not b at the cost of Arjun.😕

Very good topic and I instantly connect it coz I am also a mom !!
Since everyone has already pointed out Rakesh's mistakes, let me take his side and be Devil's advocate -

Rakesh has many frustrations built up in him. He is a failure coz he is just a Librarian whereas his brothers are successful. He has sacrificed a lot to make Chacha ji successful. There is a caring side to him that isn't shown.

Since he has nothing , he hangs on to Arjun . Chachaji has 2 daughters and Tauji has one small son. This makes Arjun the biggest son of Agarwal family. If Arjun is successful, Rakesh can live a life with authority.

I think it is all Tauji's fault. He doesn't show love and respect to Rakesh and never asks his wife to zip it . He encourages his wife's taunts .

Yes Rakesh is wrong, but under different circumstances, he would be different man. Arjun is his only hope.

He can change if he begins seeing Naina as his hope too.

Arjun is being so pressurized this thing is not realised by mr. Safari suit. Rakesh need a shock that will make him realise his mistakes.
He had already lost his wife, which make him this much frustrated along with his unsuccessful life.

Just like in three idiot the virus realise that he had pressurized his son when he got shock that he is the reason behind his son suicide same way Rakesh will realise it. I don't want Arjun to kill himself but one day surely Arjun tried to kill himself by being so much pressurized.

Thanks Anmol😛

@bold...
Yes its deeply saddening that through lack of communication, parents often overlook the child's mind and repent when its too late. Just a little of assurance and acceptance that no what matter, v r with u...things wont change with a win or a loss...one just learns from these and perform better through failure...many lives would have been saved...but Alas......some minds like Safari Suit r difficult...they pass on their conservative and rigid views to the chi ld and the child believes and reflects the same. I like the openness of Naina compared to the conservative attitude of Arjun. Naina is more under chachi...chacha's parenting which enables her to c in a broader vision.😊

Hey - What a wonderful topic you brought out for discussion...

It is said that:

"No love is greater than mom's love

No care is greater than dad's care"

Unfortunately, both of these are missing from Arjun & Naina's life...

Their mother's demise brought a void in their life that was fulfilled to an extent for both of them by Bela Chachi and Taiji... I know Taiji is like kadvi jubaan but still she has brought up Arjun and she even somewhat cares for Naina (remember the scene in ep11 when Naina pretended to be unconscious... Taiji was equally worried).

They have their father - an only parent whose love should ideally have been selfless, unconditional and forgiving... BUT... it's not. The reason behind this can be several and still left unexplored by the CVs... I have read several versions on this forum, below is my two cents -

-- It's 90s: Totally unrelatable reason because this could potentially cause him to differentiate / do partiality between girl and boy child... but not be so bitter towards his daughter

-- Because of the partiality he faced in his own life: Possible! But then this should have made him bitter towards his brothers and not towards his children

-- Because his wife died during Naina's birth: This is one reason that I just cannot digest at all... If he had been so much in love with his wife and so attached then he should be equally in love with the precious children that are a result of that love he shared with his wife. But not only he is not attached to them but only sees his son as a medium to fulfill his material requirements and earn him his share of pride in family & society... and as for his daughter she is just a liability to him, period.

So none of the above reasons are completely justifiable to me. As I see him on screen, he is just a complete jackass...

No conscience, no values, no independent thought process, no understanding of person / situation, no concern for anybody, no patience

He can be easily fooled (as proved by our dear Sammy).

Despite being a teacher he has a narrow vision, no ethics, no respect for others.

Sometimes he is shown to have a teeny-tiny bit of affection & pride & respect, but that is immediately overshadowed by his demeaning personality.

His reformation - Extremely tough to even think of it... But I see only one way - when his own children stand up to him and point out the decisions made by him / his actions that has influenced their own life in negative manner... That would probably make him think that as a father he has not really been successful.

-- He should have given them wings of dreams, instead he buckled his son with chain of expectations

-- He should have been a supporting wall for them to fall back on, instead he was a pillar of hatred

-- He should have been a guiding light, instead he was choking darkness

-- He should have been a hero leading by example, instead he only managed to teach his children what not to do as a parent

Beautiful post Mou...👏
@bold...
What more can b worse than the parent learning parenting values from their kids...its expected to b the reverse way...sadly Arjun is become the victim of his obsessed desires...lets c how they develop the track.

Hi RR😛...

To b Safari's advocate...in your words Devil's advocate is a big job😆...all the best...😉😆...the moment he starts his berbal diarrhoea...i closed my ears😆...

On a serious note...Tauji is responsible to some extent for Safari to feel inferior but as i said before...if one respects oneself and others...then the world will start respecting u. Here Safari's character has been presented more as a self- obsessed person as he never got success in life ulike his brothers. His only aim now seems to gain respect in his family's vision...sadly he hides his inferiority facade behind a cruel...demeaning mask which he could have avoided. This just adds more bitterness to his character and one cannot sympathise such a personality.

He first needs to respect himself and give respect to others rather than expecting others to respect him via his son's achievements.

I dont think even if Arjun succeeds...tauji will start respecting him out of the blue🤔...
