Let's pause, calm down and watch! My take on judging characters!

Ah! Calm down peeps! Can we? Been disappointed reading all negative vibes for the central characters of the show.

3 days. 3 episodes. 3 different emotions. Hatred. Love. Anger. Oh, I love it!

I think before pointing out flaws, we should consider a few things. I said this before in a post (here) too. That, Naina or anyone for that matter, is hypocritical/flaw if they don't analyze their actions of the past. Btw, we all are flawed - resolving stuff as life unfolds..

What we are forgetting here is that, this is a story! We can't make judgments when the show has only reached midway. We can only pinpoint flaws in characters if the show was over. As I said earlier, life happens. It's impossible to learn from your mistakes right away (the bigger life mistakes I mean). How many times we learn or realize things years or months later.. I know I have years later and I have gone like shit seriously I was such a foolish and @#$#@$_# person to think otherwise back then. What I did after I realized at that point of time matters.. coz, of course, I can't change the past. We learn as life happens.. and similarly so will the central characters of the show. It's their life unfolding before us, it hasn't unfolded.. as yet.

In today's episode, it was very clear, creatives wanted to show Sameer is innocent. Arjun was the one who started the fight, slapped Munna, choked Sameer. What happened was a result Sameer trying to save himself. I am mentioning this because there's a reason to show this that clearly. Thats coz its going to be addressed later that Arjun was at fault (aka Sameer forgiving + Arjun confessing).

From now onwards, its gonna be a journey of many characters understanding each other from life experience. The people who need to resolve the issues are,
1) Chacha and Chachi
2) Naina and Sameer -- Naina will understand Sameer to eventually forgive him
2a) Sameer and Naina -- As in, Sameer will understand Naina's POV on hiding past, the whys etc, to eventually forgive her
3) Arjun and Sameer -- Arjun will realize his mistake + Sameer will learn to forgive
To some extent,
4) Arjun and Rakesh -- Not from Rakesh's side but Arjun needs to understand the pressure of his father. I doubt Rakesh will change at the stage he is in life.

These characters will grow in the upcoming track. From the learnings, mainly, what do Arjun, Sameer and Naina takeaway from this journey is to watch out for. They will have the highest amount of growth and as a result, will resolve their respective issues. Now, how they do that is the journey for us. The happenings of the journey IS the story we get to WATCH.

As an avid viewer of good content, I love following journeys from which I might either relate/connect to or learn from their lives to better mine. This is the only drama show I watch at the moment as recently I didn't find good content which will keep me engaged. I always lost interest and it became really lame with its logic. Yeh Un Dino keeps me engaged with a lot of nostalgia, with friendships to die for, with a love story to enjoy, with a lot of innocence and with the characters I can relate to totally (I find myself in Sameer and Naina a lot).

It's such a feel good show. Creatives have really connected the dots well so far and I am sure they will in the future. I am ready to give them the benefit of doubt that the logic won't be lame at some point. I think am gonna step back from the forum for a while and perhaps come back when the time is right.. Am looking forward to see how Naina and Sameer understand and grow together in their lives and embrace each other with the beautiful emotion of love! Enjoy the show!

Cheers!

Hi there, nice post and agree with what you have written.

I didn't think anything was shown OTT. Without bringing past into the picture Naina and Rakeshji's anger is valid because it has to do with that moment. Rakesh already hates Sameer and right now so does Naina, and seeing Arjun fallen down writhing in pain, their reactions were quite natural. Rajesh at the hospital and Later at school was disgusting. That's just how some people are

As you said for all of them now begins the journey of understanding each other, each other's family, true meaning of sacrifice, trust, love, standing up for what's right and many other life lessons.

Will be a great ride with these wonderful actors and the writers.

Thank you so much for SUCH A POSITIVE POST!
I indeed was feeling so low from the time I read all other POSTs. I have been telling this but I guess was not making enough sense. Your POST is appropriate. I wish others can get that too.
Like you said we do mistakes and realize later. Even I have done so many stupid mistakes that I feel common man MATURE PERSON😳 like ME can't do such stuff. But truth is I did and I learned NOW.

We grow and grow and trust me what we are at the age of 16 are not we are in FUTURE. Our life, career, society teaches us a lot.

We are expecting too much from these innocent soul. Let them learn their lesson from their mistakes.
Nothing can be THE PERFECT in this WORLD.

As I Said THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS POST!

@ both above ..well written and expressed. That's how I feel totally. Character bashing and condemning is no use until it's the end. There has to be a good average and bad episode as the story progresses.
But I guess its just how beautiful the show is that it's hard to contain the excitement and anger . Let's be positive all.

Hi dear, amazing post...you have explained all the character's situations so aptly...👏
Sameer, Naina and Arjun currently all are right in their respective places.

Sameer did his mistakes, yes he is sorry about it but eventually he has to bear the consequences because the matter is out of control now. Nobody intended of Arjun to know about the bet but now here he is and Sam has to bear the brunt. Yes our heart goes out to the way he is getting blamed for Arjun's injury, but that's how he is growing. The way he was calm and composed today in front of Arjun as well as Principal, I can see a grown-up Sameer there.

Naina has broken her heart. Let's give her sometime first of all to come out of the pain. But before she gets time to come out of it, Arjun's injury happened. Yes her eyes were blaming Sameer today, but obviously she will believe only what she sees. She saw the two fighting, and currently Sameer has broken her trust, why would she think he didn't do anything wrong. Why would she believe his truth now?
And regarding the paper stealing matter, yes Naina always tries her best not to lie. But is it easy when your loved ones are involved in it? Ofcourse not. Let's not forget she is just a teenager. We all do mistakes in our teens, hide lies, don't trust people when we have to, but does the world call us hypocrites at that time? No! In teens whatever a person does, he feels that he is doing the right thing...He learns only from his mistakes and that's what builds his/her character.

Arjun was angry as a brother. After what Sameer did, any brother would be angry. In Arjun's eyes, Sameer has played with her feelings and as a loving, possessive brother nobody can tolerate that. Yes he is also as a scared teenager, under his Dad's pressure who has committed a mistake of paper stealing, but this act of Arjun definitely doesn't justify Sameer's wrong-doings. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Both have committed mistakes but they are not comparable.

I'm actually waiting for a healthy-relation between Arjun-Sameer because as both have committed mistakes which has affected Naina and hence they will bond soon.

Nice post dear😃😃
I already said in another post that Naina isn't expected to think from Sameer's pov at this stage... and Arjun is buckling under the pressure of his father... so it's time now that everything starts falling in place and Sameer's entry in their house is a step in this direction 😃

Everyone would realise their mistake and their bond would be the strongest in the future😃

And please everyone... I again request you to have a healthy discussion without bashing anyone... please😊

Yes you are right. I completely agree with all the characters right now. Arjun reacted like a brother would. He only heard about the bet from bet boys but dosent know the reason behind this bet. Once he knows the reason i am sure he will feel guilty. Initially when paper stealing thing was going they did show Arjun feeling guilty, he even told naina that he cant see sameer eye to eye. I think he is a genuine guy only timid. naina is angry now and in anger people do react unreasonably. Sameer is always blamed wrongly and i think makers will absolve him in future episodes. If the truth dosent come out and he is not proved innocent then how will nainas family agree for thier rishta. Its a journey for these characterz and i am happy that it will be interesting to watch them grow as indivituals and watch samaina love story unfold.

@Bold - Exactly! In the heat of the moment, we react irrationally/take irrational decisions. We all do the exact same thing!! We humans, I tell you!

Yes, I agree! It will be a great ride for the writers how they show meaning of sacrifice, trust and love. I am really looking forward to the transformation of a crush to love to a relationship. (We are midway in this)

Sorry for editing your post, KashafZaroon30, for the quote, just adding/bolding the stuff I want to reply to! Thank you for understanding me! About Sameer, yes! I agree, he has transformed the most in the show! The way he has been past couple of episodes, oh boy! That guy IS growing and HOW!

About Naina, yes its like things have happened back to back for her, no time to think rationally!! Am sure she will also grow at the story progresses!

About Arjun, ah! Yes you are right, he is a scared teenager! My heart goes out to him. How right you are, in saying what Arjun did doesnt justify what Sameer did!! I loved that you said this!!

And about been in teens, ah yes all 3 are gonna grow as they learn about each other, and am looking forward to their bond as they resolve issues. I think it will be special, keeping in mind both will want to protect Naina in one way or the other!

Cheers all! Here's to great episodes!

I wanna add the bonds I am looking forward to:
1) Naina and Sameer - As said above, the transformation of a crush to love to a relationship. Ah! Dil le lo!
2) Arjun and Sameer - Their love for Naina and how that will connect post resolving issues shall be special.
3) Naina and Nanu - Ah! This is my favourite bond to see. I think Nanu will just be very accepting of their relationship above anyone else. Naina and Nanu scenes!! Just happen already!
4) Sameer and Naina's family - I think this is gonna be interesting! He doesn't have an elaborate family. Never had one. He's gonna realise a LOT of things there. Now, what he learns and how I am looking forward to. I wonder if in the process, he will teach a thing or two to Chacha and Chachi or vice versa (Lets see).

On another note,
5) Munna-Pandit with Naina - Oh I LOVE and ADORE MnP!! The jaan of the show man! They will be with Sameer through out, after things clear out, the bond will be lovely!!

Above all,
6) Sameer-Munna-Pandit-Swati-Naina - Friendship goals ki dukaaan! I may add Preeti to this but she is family. I love how they got each other's back ALL the time!
