I didn't see the programme where Shefali was insulted, so I can't comment.
I do however agree that Arjun is not always principled, he shifts his position depending on what is at stake. He is trying so very hard to live up to his father's expectations and fulfill his dreams that he will act unethically if that is threatened as we saw with the exam papers. But I think when it comes to protecting his turf, he will stand his ground.

I feel like saying boys will be boys haha...these are still teenage boys, and two boys who were in fierce competition for the head boy post. No doubt hearing Rakesh over and over again must have put the bigde hue aulad chant into Arjun's head too...

For the time being, Sameer is the guilty party for sure...as it is he needs to earn Naina's forgiveness but beating up her brother isn't going to help. We can see his intention to fight but he holds back thinking about Naina...and I'm sure in the future Naina will be a big point between them...is anybody reminded of Salman vs Arbaaz in Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kiya? The two of them had a fight first but Salman spent the next part of movie trying to convince Arbaaz he was the right one for Kajol...maybe Sameer has to convince Arjun in the future that he is right for his sister...

Boys will be boys, but I hope their mutual care and concern for Naina will bring them together some day!

Indeed, boys will be boys. Sameer will need Arjun's and everyone else's help in convincing the father, Rakesh, that he is the right one for Naina. I think initially Sameer and Arjun will be adversaries, but ultimately when Naina needs his help against his father is when Arjun's loyalties will be sorely tested. Arjun first needs to stand up to his father, before he will be able to stand up to anyone else properly.
