@Dr.DocRead your post carefully.
If I understand your post correctly, you seem to indicate that the process of delineation of guilt from love is not being narrated properly. However, if you were to observe, the last few episodes have been focussed on even trying to delineate the feelings of guilt from the process of remorse. If the narrative is so beautifully narrating these two seemingly similar aspects ( guilt and remorse) with such great depth why do you presume the writers will not be in a position to delineate guilt from love?
There is not necessarily a Eureka moment in love though there well can be but it is important to bear in mind...a love story is one of the more complex genres to translate on screen. A well told love story is very rare to find. They are made of magical moments of someone's life and they draw you in to feel for them...like we do for Sameer and Naina. In them, we see a potential for a lovely love tale. Having known their story so far, we want to root for them, hoping they will find their special place under the sky. As for Sameer falling in love out of guilt...if the writers have deliberated on the breakup in such detail. it is impossible for them to gloss over Sameer's actual acceptance of his feelings for Naina. You as a viewer won't be in doubt after Sameer's path to acceptance and here i am purposely using the word acceptance and not realisation, which if my hunch is right, the writers will also delineate well enough.
Sameer's actions in Mount Abu and leading upto Mount Abu were not all voluntary actions...Many of those actions were involuntary ones and had nothing to do with the fate of the bet issue. He was going with the flow...but perhaps not with a deeper understanding of his state of mind or heart. He did many things presumably becos they were taking him close to the realisation of the bet but there were many he was doing simply because he had started enjoying being in Naina's company. He has not rationalised those actions in his introspection simply because he is too consumed with the guilt of having hurt Naina. It is only when he gets around this huge bottleneck can he genuinely look to account for his other actions. The time for that will also come if we are a bit patient and don't try to look too ahead in the story. Enjoy this sweet phase too. It is a tumultuous time for the lovers but we as viewers have the best seat in the house. All I would say is savor its moments. 😊
