I think everyone is jumping the gun here. Let's wait and see how the makers/creatives will have everything fall into place. Sameer will realize his love but first let him get done with what he thinks is the priority which is to apologize to Naina. Her accepting his sorry and forgiving him and things going back to what it was before is Sameer's assumption and confidence. But the day Naina blasts him for the way he is treating this issue will open his eyes to what the reality is. That could bring the change in Sameer's realization of his feelings and Naina's hurt.

In Sameer's defense we can only attribute his age and immaturity to the lack of seriousness of feelings we would like to see.

@Dr.Doc
Read your post carefully.

If I understand your post correctly, you seem to indicate that the process of delineation of guilt from love is not being narrated properly. However, if you were to observe, the last few episodes have been focussed on even trying to delineate the feelings of guilt from the process of remorse. If the narrative is so beautifully narrating these two seemingly similar aspects ( guilt and remorse) with such great depth why do you presume the writers will not be in a position to delineate guilt from love?

There is not necessarily a Eureka moment in love though there well can be but it is important to bear in mind...a love story is one of the more complex genres to translate on screen. A well told love story is very rare to find. They are made of magical moments of someone's life and they draw you in to feel for them...like we do for Sameer and Naina. In them, we see a potential for a lovely love tale. Having known their story so far, we want to root for them, hoping they will find their special place under the sky. As for Sameer falling in love out of guilt...if the writers have deliberated on the breakup in such detail. it is impossible for them to gloss over Sameer's actual acceptance of his feelings for Naina. You as a viewer won't be in doubt after Sameer's path to acceptance and here i am purposely using the word acceptance and not realisation, which if my hunch is right, the writers will also delineate well enough.

Sameer's actions in Mount Abu and leading upto Mount Abu were not all voluntary actions...Many of those actions were involuntary ones and had nothing to do with the fate of the bet issue. He was going with the flow...but perhaps not with a deeper understanding of his state of mind or heart. He did many things presumably becos they were taking him close to the realisation of the bet but there were many he was doing simply because he had started enjoying being in Naina's company. He has not rationalised those actions in his introspection simply because he is too consumed with the guilt of having hurt Naina. It is only when he gets around this huge bottleneck can he genuinely look to account for his other actions. The time for that will also come if we are a bit patient and don't try to look too ahead in the story. Enjoy this sweet phase too. It is a tumultuous time for the lovers but we as viewers have the best seat in the house. All I would say is savor its moments. 😊

@Sanfan
Well, articulated points and explanation.

It will be great if the story proceeds as you predicted.

Cheers!

Thanks...😊

I have no predictions 😆
I have merely based my points on the journey so far which has given me very few occasions for complaint. Some of my usual complaints are more about some bloopers and the like and some technical things but not about the narrative.

Nice post as usual Doc. 👍🏼

You are right. Most ppl seem to be assuming/ wishfully hoping that Sameer is in love with Naina.I am not sure he has exhibited clear signs of being in love, though he does seem to be on the fence.As u already mentioned earlier, he cares for her. He is not able to take the fact that Naina is pretending to act normal with him and he is consumed by guilt and regret.I would not say that he is being selfish in apologizing. I think he genuinely wants Naina to forgive him and be normal, not just for himself but for her too.

But the million dollar question. Is he in love? Well he certainly doesn't believe he is in love. If he did, he would have told Naina( or at least M& P) that in the process of this bet he has actually fallen for her. Does he love her without being aware of it?Only time will tell.. but if he does love her it is not so deep now.

I believe that if Naina forgives him now and things become normal, he will Friendzone her and move on. That is because he is not so much in love with her as yet, but he is falling fast. For his feelings to develop strongly as love and for him to realise it, this guilt and forgiveness saga should go on for some time.At the end of it Naina will forgive Sameer and Sameer would expect to be peaceful and happy,but wont. That is when he will realise that his feelings for her are something more than friendship. If she forgives him too soon, I doubt he will develop that realization.

I personally don't think the makers will mix love and guilt. Right now it is guilt and forgivesness that is being shown. Once that is over, Sameer will realise his love. Then the love confession will start..Relax.. we have a lot of time and I am enjoying this.

Hi rock&roll,

Some very apt points you mentioned.

You are right. May be the Sorry Track should be the road for Sameer to realise his love wala LOVE.

As you said, he might get sorry and feel that he is at peace.However, Naina after forgiving will still be not like she was before and then Sameer will again be restless. (In Love)

But, the makers need to clearly show the distinction between Sameer's Guilt and Love. If we as viewers get confused what he feels then how a character like Naina would believe that Sameer actually is in true love with her (for her to even think about taking the risk of trusting him again. She doesn't want to be another Meghaben).
