The problem or the issue bugging many here is the assumption that Sameer is in love with Naina.

However, what we are all viewing in the show is just the guilty feeling of Sameer. He wants to get rid of this guilt for hurting a decent girl.

As in the show, character of Sameer has not shown any visible signs of underlying love wali feeling for Naina. Most of us are just hoping to see a clear-cut sign of Sameer is indeed in love.

However, the entire aspect of this crucial portion is getting stretched which is creating doubts about all his apology efforts.

We are inclined to think that Sameer is doing all without any base and again being selfish to seek apology for his own mental peace.

He is assuming that it will also make Naina relaxed. However, it is not possible.

The only possible way for Sameer to make sense of all this is to understand that the way ahead in this scenario with a girl like Naina who loves him to any possible extent is to fall in love with her.

This aspect is not being well presented till now. It is always love under bet and now love under guilt. High time this undertone of love is shown properly.

Without that being shown clearly, it all seems a hogwash.

Sam truely loves naina if not how come he sensed her presence but d problem he is not realizing that becoz of his guilt. At this moment if naina ignores him he'll be sad but wouldn't realize his love because deep down he knows she still loves him. When naina forgives him rejects his friendship then he'll understand that it's not for "bet" or for "SORRY" but he genuinely wants her in his life.

i think its obvious here that he is in love hence the hurt.

However, what we are all viewing in the show is just the guilty feeling of Sameer. He wants to get rid of this guilt for hurting a decent girl.
he wouldnt feel guilty if he dint care for her in the first place. he would just be chilled out then. but it has affected him deeply coz he cares and loves her(he doesnt realise it).

As in the show character of Sameer has not shown any visible signs of underlying love wali feeling for Naina. Most of us are just hoping to see a clear-cut sign of Sameer is indeed in love.
as i said above that the audience is aware that he is in love with naina else he wouldnt take all the blames, he wouldnt be so hurt with her hurt. the guilt is indeed coz of his love. u c munna pandit are not so hurt even if they do feel guilty. thats coz they are gud at heart but they r not in love with naina how sameer is.

However, the entire aspect of this crucial portion is getting stretched which is creating doubts about all his apology efforts.
i think its to show naina that sameer really loves her but he is idiot enough to understand it anyway. he has no reference here! she will soon realise that he is making efforts for a reason and that reason is love. he could have just let it go but he dint.

We are inclined to think that Sameer is doing all without any base and again being selfish to seek apology for his own mental peace.
i do think that this whole vishaka connect is going to fall on his head and he will realise that only becoz he loves naina is is affected by her hurt just how he is hurt coz he loved his mom once upon a time.

He is assuming that it will also make Naina relaxed. However, it is not possible.
i dont think he has assumed it. i think he wants a fresh start with her.

The only possible way for Sameer to make sense of all this is to understand that the way ahead in this scenario with a girl like Naina who loves him to any possible extent is to fall in love with her.
he knows the extent to which she loves her. he was deeply hurt and overwhelmed when she burnt her fingers for him. and i feel deep down he does know that he loves her. he is only running from it.

This aspect is not being well presented till now. It is always love under bet and now love under guilt. High time this undertone of love is shown properly.
that i agree with. but they cant show his love directly till sameer realizes. and that will only happen with more built up anxiety. it has to wait.

Without that being shown clearly, it all seems a hogwash.
give it time. i know we r all getting desperate to see him accept his feelings😆

thank u for the post👏🤗

all that nagging by munna pandit about 'kahin tujhe pyaar toh nahi ho gaya?' is going to make him realise soon😆

Hi Peace,

Some very valid points you mentioned. However, I would like to add few points on Guilt.

In my view, guilt and love are two very contrasting emotions. Sometimes they go hand in hand and many times they do not.

The simple reason for that being Guilt is inherently more selfish. Why?

Because in Guilt one is feeling bad for something wrong done to another person knowingly. That is what Sameer is going through.

Another aspect of guilt is that it makes one hypersensitive for some time and that person starts correlating his fault with other daily actions or arguments. It happens with all. Sameer also going through that.

Hence, Sameer's action gets driven by guilt and until he clears that, his love wali feelings are not clear. clear. So, the makers need to show to indicate to underlying love in even small but significant ways which make the viewers clear about the hidden love wala love.

Of course, guilt is also powerful in a positive way that it makes an individual mend ways and be better. Sameer is also showing that. However, it still very unclear about his feelings beyond that.

Hence, from this sorry aspect of reel life or real life, the one to gain is only Sameer.

Only when Sameer has love mixed with his guilt - Then only Naina and Sameer both can be in the bliss of love. Otherwise, it gets again harder for Naina. She receives nothing in return for her love for Sameer and even forgiving Sameer.

I agree, at the moment it's getting a little murky.. the guilt is outweighing any other emotions that Sam is supposedly feeling. Unless some love shines through in the guilt track.. the apology will not be conveyed with the emotions that Naina requires to start forgiving him. If she just accepts the apology, she might still just close her heart for the near future.

I had posted the following in another thread, but reposting it here-

I think the fact that Sameer's VO has still not mentioned the L word in connection with Naina is causing the disconnect..

Watching Sameer on the trip with Naina and the way he was looking at her and following her around gave us all the impression that it's finally happening for him too. And if that is the case Sameer's VO should be sharing an inkling of that.. all he has said so far is something changed without any real indication of Sameer feeling any love for Naina. The 17 year Sameer might not have understood at that moment., but the adult Sameer should know.

The VO is not sharing anything very different to what we are already seeing based on Sameer's conversations with friends or his monologues. I suppose it's part of the CVs strategy to not give away anything at this point.. but then what value is Sameer's VO adding to the show?

Hi Jay and Sixteen,

It is exactly as you mentioned.

The director and writers are presenting things in a very inconsistent manner.

With the way Mount Abu trip took place where Sameer moved around and behind Naina, it had those small love feelings along with his conflicts of guilt.

But post that the direction is not at all showing any fear in Sameer that he will lose this true love from Naina. Infact, it is not even clear what wants he wants post guilt and sorry mission.

One point in favour of Sameer is may be for him Dosti is love. However, he knows how Naina feels for her and he is stuck at point only - guilt and sorry.

"If any one would remember the movie Rocket Singh - Sales man. The movie was supposed to be the rise of an underdog. But the misplaced direction made the movie all about "Guilt realisation of the Villian Boss and how he changes. There was nothing shown about Rocket Singh who was wronged and if he achieved success.

In the same way, YUDKBH is all becoming about Sameer's Insult, Sameer's Bet, Sameer's Guilt and Sameer's attempt for Sorry.

It is yet to become anything about Sameer's Love (for Naina)

And Naina here becomes like the Rocket Singh Character who gains nothing.

(You need to see the Rocket Singh - Sales man movie starring Ranbeer Kapoor to understand the correlation I am mentioning)

Sameer brushed aside LOVE as an option when munna pandit brot it up as an option..love is the most wonderful feeling..usko revel karna chahiye tha abhi is mei...guilt par atka pada hai..but it will b damn interesting to see whats gonna make him snap out of guilt n suddenly see love like in a bat of an eyelid🥱 in the movie "kuch na kaho" it just take one swoosh of ashs poker straight hair to breeze across abhisheks face for his charactr to fall in luv with ashs character...lol but this is yudkbh.. Hope its not tht shallow🥱
