I am so so disappointed by today's episode. I wasn't expecting this at all. A major let down for me. More than half the episode I was confused at what was happening and wondered if the site I was watching at had the full episode or not because nothing was making sense...Serious discontinuity in the episode today...

2 points that I feel were not handled well were:
-The sweater. This should have happened long before. She knitted it for Mt.Abu and the cold, then why give it to him 1 day before they leave? Made no sense whatsoever.

- The jungle scene. I feel that they should have shown a conflict in Sameer when he comes to know Naina is missing/ lost in the jungle. Sameer actually went in to the jungle for Munna and Pandit. I feel showing a small conflict would have shown a continuity in his guilt and his growing feelings towards her, which had started in Ahmedabad... But zero conflict in the jungle scene and a conflict once they got to Mt.Abu seemed disjointed...

The show has been really good otherwise, so I hope today's episode was a one-off thing... Because the above 2 points can even be ignored but discontinuity cannot...

Good post TM:):)

@ bold - Word!! There are some moments where it was not clear to me as a viewer whether Sam and even M, P were feeling bad that Naina was sad and wanted to cheer her up, for the bet, guilt or because they genuinely felt for a friend.

It made no sense really to give him the sweater on the day they are returning to Ahmedabad. After all the effort she put in to ask his favorite color, arrange money and buy wool, learn to knit and finish it in two days supposedly... the scene when she actually gave it to him fell flat for me.

Nice post, and I think you summed things up really well. 😊

The editing has been an on and off problem, but definitely more so in the Mount Abu track. The bus Antakshari and campfire scenes are the two main ones. Expressions not matching with the dialogue, repeating the same expressions again and again - these are some of the things that take away from an otherwise nice scene. Today's episode was definitely disjointed too. Hope they get better with this!

I also don't expect every episode to be perfect, but they have set the standard high, so we start to expect more too. A lot of the times the dialogues and scenes are perfect, and sometimes it's very rushed.

I'm really hoping tomorow's episode is solid - it's obviously an important episode, so I hope the detailing is on point!

Exactly!!! We were discussing even on Friday how the sweater scene should have been much earlier and how Rakesh scene might have been a later addition. Cause even today when Naina asked sorry for her dad's behavior, didn't seem like she was mentioning the slap.. seemed like she was talking about some normal day where Rakesh would scold Sameer
After the wonderful monologue this episode was definitely a let down. They could have just gone ahead with Sameer fighting with the boys n the mom scene.
Even the other day I was trying to figure permutation and combination of existing scenes to get a sequence that makes sense. Lol. But aaj ka first half won't even fit together even if I try to.

Hi All, it's good to know that you all have noticed similar things. Hope these last few episodes were the only flawed ones and hope we continue to get good stuff and content from them...I m really excited for the amazing break-up episodes because they are going to be turning point for Sameer-Naina

I need the shaadi wala pyaar thing to go away. I get its innocent and stuff. But man its cringeworthy and irritating being put everywhere. Anyway the show has some continuity problem. Its damn slow at times and sometimes they are so fast they dont let stuff sink in. Some stuff are so subtle. And then we get drama showdowns with Rakesh.
