Because yeh in Dono ki baat hai when boys and girls did not use to interact khullam khulla lol.. Moreover Swati also does not listens to Munna ...So Munna uses Pandit's name as a reference to tell Swati, his Dil ki baatein.. <3...

This serves two purposes...

His voice and feelings reaches Swati..

He does not come in the eyes of his teachers and zaalim duniya like Rakesh sir who won't let him continue in the college of he is caught doing aashiqui..

I think he knows that she doesn't give any bhaav to him...so this way atleast she gets irritated and responds with her irritation and anger...so it's just a way to attract her attention towards him😃
