Well I was thinking to make a post on this since the Promo and Picnic day started. Thanks Aadhi for asking to make separate posts unlike commenting 😆 I think this is a post which none have discussed uptill now in the forum.Hope it is not too long to bore.😊
Rakesh Sir has time and again warned Naina to stay away from Sameer and Sameer not to even roam around Naina because according to him..He doesn't deserve Naina.
Don't we find this line coming true in times ahead.I think here is a point where a parent is right and love even if true is completely wrong.

But since we know both the sides of coin, there are points where Rakesh is Wrong and Right.
First coming to the point where he is Wrong

There is no single cause of parental misperceptions, but one place to start looking is in the mirror. As egocentric creatures, we see the world through the perspective we know bestour own. We have far more information about ourselves than we do about other people, and this influences our assumptions and judgments about the people we interact with every day, our offspring most definitely included.
Biology also plays a powerful role in parental bias. From an evolutionary perspective, we are compelled to reproduce to ensure that we pass our genetic line to future generations and avoid extinction. Our offspring represent a biological investment in our own futures, then, and we are driven to engage in strategic behavior to protect that investment.

So he knows Sameer belonging to a family of riches and broken relationships can never deserve Naina who is one of the successful investments of his.

Where He is Right
Indian culture and society places great importance on commitment for life, while youngsters are okay with flitting from one person to the other. This, according to most elders, is uncouth, immature, and undesirable.
Youngsters firmly believe that love can triumph over anything- financial disparities, cultural differences, religious tendencies, educational variations- you name it. Combining that with lack of commitment or adjustment obligations, relationships don't last after the novelty wears off. Parents see this, sometimes correctly, beforehand and hence oppose the short-term attraction.

Yes that's what atlest Sameer is now.Fickle in matters of love and for Naina what started as an attraction is going to land her in a heartbreak and shattered trust and dreams. Its a different thing how they would get back to each other but Rakesh is right in becoming ''Tayab Ali.''Atlest he could have saved his daughter from a heartbreak and perhaps from a solid jolt to Naina's foundation.

Feedbacks and criticism is appreciated for this post.😃

You echoed my thoughts. I was going to make a topic on this too.
If I purely see this as a Parent , Rakesh isn't wrong. He is trying to protect his daughter from a boy who is "Bigda raeeszada" and can play with her innocence and heart.

I disagree with the part that Rakesh sees Naina as his investment.

Arjun is his investment, Naina is a liability, who should not become a burden if she falls in love with a wrong person . Rakesh's concern is limited to protect himself from the trouble that Naina -Sameer can bring in his life.

He'll be concerned about his investment when Arjun falls in love with Shefali 😆

If my daughter falls in love with a notorious boy in high school, I will also be like Rakesh in 2017🤣

Another point I would like to highlight is that he being a teacher and surrounded by teenagers all the time is probably more in tune with what goes on and could potentially happen between Sameer and Naina.

Also, he is already very sensitive regarding the financial disparity between him and his brothers.. subconsciously he probably doesn't want the same with his future SIL

I completely go with ur views...As a father..he is right in his place in safeguarding Naina n as any parent would do...his concerns are valid...!

nice post Minu👏
I would say that as a father he is only right till the point he is trying to protect his daughter from a bigda nawaab...but thats it...here his being right ends for me😊

As a father he fails to consider both his daughter and son as equals...where he sees arjun as his responsibility and wants to see him successful...he ignores Naina terribly...he even broke her FD for Arjun's cricket kit...whenever Chachaji supports her...he goes against everyone and asks her to do what he wants her to do...

But I agree at the same time that he felt proud of her when she helped Nanu...that was a terrific moment for me👏⭐️
When he says that he would go to Mt Abu the next morning bcoz she is alone there...that wasn't the situation when Lochan Sir was going earlier...after all he was taken as his replacement...and when he was going himself...why not take Preeti along with Naina...I really don't understand this😕

So I would say that Rakesh Sir as any other human being has his flaws and qualities...and we need to accept him with all those😃

Happy that you came up with a separate post minu and that too with a genuine topic...

I can only say that Rakesh was right at some times and eventually wrong too...his attitude towards girl child is totally wrong but at the same time he was giving pressure to arjun immensely that made him to choose wrong path...

I just don't care much about his behaviour...but what I care is...Naina will think that wherever Rakesh was saying about sameer was correct...bigda hua ameerzada...he does only criminal offences...jise paiso ka akad hein...he can do anything for winning...and sameer also proved that whatever Rakesh was saying about him was right...if everyone knows about it...what will be sameer...he will be the most ( do I need to write )

For naina... sameer will become the most horrible person that she has ever met...he fights...he smokes ... and above all he plays with ones feelings...can even do anything when he grows up... till now she used to see only positive side of him...but from now what ever she sees in him...it will be negative only...
