Hey friends I m back with something new ,its not new story but my old one whose thread is close so I m making new one .

MERE NAAM TU

A car stopped in front of campus of IMI New Delhi .A girl about twenty years got down from the car , her father offered to drop her till inside but she stopped him ,saying she will manage . Her father asked " are you sure ".

I- yes appa .

Appa- all the best .

Saying so he drove away while ishita iyer ,first year MBA student entered the college campus . She was scanning the whole place ,she stopped in front of the college building and looked at it . She recalled how they ,she and her best friend Raman use to admire the building and always say ,this is their future college and they will surely study in this college in future . She smiled recalling their old golden days and said

" hope we meet here in our dream college , finger crossed ".

Lost in her thoughts she entered the building and was about to ask the way to her class to someone when a boy came to her and informed " O hello ".

I- yeah .

B- you are being called there .

I- wahaan kya hai ?

B-atfirst you come there ,then you yourself will come to know .

Ishita nodded and walked to crowd . She went inside the circle and saw some girls were standing there while a group of boys were sitting on the railing. She was instructed to stand beside the girls and realised that as she was newcomer the boys were taking their ragging . She looked at the boys ,who were taking the raggings and her eyes stopped at a guy who was tying a bandana on his head ,he was wearing a blue glares on his eyes while a smirk was there on his lips,his mouth was moving as he was chewing a chewing gum. Her eyes stopped on his dimples .Though his face was looking familiar but she shrugged thinking how he can be a her senior as he was her classmate . Her trance broke when she heard the same boy " where are you lost ,give your introduction ".

I- I m ishita iyer .

The boy was crossing her but stopped and turned to her then asked again glaring her " what did you say ".

I- ishita iyer .

She can see his face turning red listening to her , he gave her a deadly glare and asked " why are you here now ?".

I- to do my MBA .

She answered him but he had left without listening to her answer making her confused .

The boy walked out from there without listening to her answer making ishita confused, she wanted to go behind him and ask his name too but she was stuck ,stuck with this damn introduction thing.Soon the introduction ended, though the boys were about to bother them more but the bell rang and everybody has to go to their respective classes. Ishita entered the class and settled on the empty place beside a girl ,she greeted the girl and they exchange their names . She was mihika verma ,who lives in Delhi itself . Before they could talk some more, professor Mishra , the financial management prof entered .All greeted him ,he too greeted all back and soon he started teaching .

Prof. Mishra has just started to speak when they heard " may I came in ".

All looked at the direction and saw it sas same guy who had asked ishita's name ,she got confused and asked mihika " is he our classmate ?".

M- unfortunately yes .

I- what's unfortunate about it.

M- he is such a idiot boy .

I- what did he do .

M- ask what he didn't do , bunking classes, teasing teachers ,bothering students , interrupting classes , smoking ,drinking and the list goes on .

Ishita made a disgusting face listening to this, that's when she noticed professor sir saying " ohh Raman bhalla ,you are late again . I had heard you that you always disturb classes but it is not going to happen in my class , got that ".

Professor mishra was still speaking while Raman ignored him and spoke settling in the bench ," sir not me but you are disturbing class ,talking somuch which is not our subject ".

All started laughing ,listening to him while he smirked looking at the professor, he sushed the class and started teaching again. The professor turned towards the black board and started writing the topics which he is teaching today . Ishita's eyes again went to Raman to see his activities and she saw him pulling a rubber band from his pocket and aiming at the professor ,placing a peice of paper in the rubber back . He pulled the rubber band and then left ,the peice of paper flew to prof Mishra. The paper was about to hit professor but he turned at the same time and the paper hit him on his right ear . Prof mishra moaned in pain and held his ear ,he glared all the students but his eyes stopped on Raman . He pointed at him and spoke " Raman bhalla get up ".

Raman listened to the professor and stood lazily after much time .

Prof - I know you are the one who has done this .

R- had you seen me doing that.

He spoke carelessly .Prof.has not seen Raman but he knew that he is one behind this mischief, but he has not actually seen him ,so he was silent. Seeing him not speaking Raman spoke " boliye na sir ,do you have any proof . "

Not having any answer the prof ,said " sit down but don't repeat this again ."

R- aap bhi na sir ,don't have any proof still doubting me .

Saying so he settled in his bench and smirked , the professor started teaching again,after sometimes when he again turned back Raman started playing music loudly.As soon as the professor listened the music he turned but till then the music had stopped. Mishra sir again glared Raman and shouted " Raman bhalla that's more than enough , I won't tolerate this type of activities in my class ,you get out of my class ".

That's when the class ended ,Raman smirked and said " seems time for you to go not me ".
Prof mishra hissed angrily " you are not allowed in my class anymore ".

R- that we will see .

He said chewing the gum in his mouth ,ishita was witnessing this and was mad at Raman for his behaviour. She walked to him to talk but he ignored her and pretended to talk to other boys . She tried again but he just ignored her and before she should try again , other professor entered. Seems Raman like this subject or may be he likes the professor as he didn't bothered him much .Others period too passed between little disturbance . This period was free , all started chanting and befriending with eachother while Raman got up and went out ,ushura saw this and she too ran behind . Till she reached to him ,he had reached to his boys gang and they were lighting cigarettes. Ishita stood there as she was little hesitant but then walked close to them , they looked at ishita and were about to say something when she pointed towards Raman and said " I wanna talk to him ".

He pointed a finger to him and asked " me ".

She nodded while other boys started teasing him ,he walked out from the group and asked " what ".

He was holding a cigarette in his hands, ishita atfirst snatched it and smashed it under her feet and then spoke almost scolding him " Rams what's this ,what have you done to yourself . Why are you doing this ".

Raman looked deep into her eyes and asked " do we know eachother ".

Ishita saw him surprisingly and spoke " what are you saying , Rams I m ish ,your best friend ish ,don't you remember this is our dream college ,we both wanted to pursue our MBA in this college ".

R(laughed sarcastically )- ohh ,so you are here to do your MBA ,not for Rams.

Saying so he walked away from there, leaving a shocked ishita. She tried to call him again but he didn't looked back and went from there . Ishita's got sad listening to him but she knows she has to woo him because she was the one who is the reason for his anger and in this anger he is punishing himself . Ishura was still standing in her place when mihika placed her hand on her shoulder and asked " hey ishita why did you talked to him ,I told you na he is not nice boy ,you should stay away from him ."

I- I need to talk to him .

M- why , are you so eager to talk to him .

I- because he is my best friend .

Mihika got shocked listening to her while ishita was still looking at the direction ,Raman was gone .

I- because he is my best friend .

Mihika was shocked listening to her then asked " how come he us your best friend when you just came day before yesterday from Chennai?"

I- it's a long story mihika .

M- then tell me ,I have all ears as this is free period .

I- ok as you say .

M- I think we should go to cafeteria , I m bit hungry .

I- chalo .

Both the girls went to cafeteria, they ordered burger and cold drinks for then and settled in the table then mihika said " now tell ".

I- though I had come here ,just two days back but I m not new to Delhi.

M- how come ?

I- earlier when I was a kid ,we use to live in Delhi itself.

M- haww ,when?

I- I don't remember from when but till I was in class eight. I and Raman were classmate from class 1 . We both use to stammer and had difficulty in talking ,other student use to make fun of us ,so we don't talk to anyone . I was a silent student and he was rude, may be he was angry with his problem that he is not normal child like others . I don't talk to anyone as I feel shameful while non talk to him as he had fought with most of the students because they mimick him . One day he was absent and ma'am told him to take, that day notes from other students .As he was not befriended to anyone ,he approached me . I gave him notes and we talked that day for the very first time ,at first he was angry thinking I m mimicking him but when I told that it's my problem too , he apologized to me . From that day our friendship started blooming, we don't talk much to anyone but both were bright students . We were teacher's favourite students , Rams has also started behaving normally , he now don't fights with anyone as he was just bothered about us only ,so no teacher tried to separate us . We started growing together, as best friends.

M- but non of you stammer now .

I- yeah ,because when we were in class three one of our ma'am suggested our mothers to take us to stammering cure center . Both mothers talk to eachother and took us to a stammering relief centre . We went there for a month and our problem was solved ,now we can talk nicely to anyone .

M- that's really great ,I never know that stammering can also be cured .

I- of course it can be cured but not much parents think about it ,all thinks that it will go while you grow ,sometimes it works too but till then the child has to bear all the bullying and mockings ,some became silent like me and some becomes rude like Rams.

M- ohh ,that's sad .Parents should take it seriously, haina .

I- yeah .

M- so you are perfectly alright.

I- yeah ,but still I use to stammer sometimes when I m nervous,sad or scared .

M- ohh ,ok continue your story .

I- we were best and closest friends ,we didn't need anybody else .

M- then .

I- then in after our eights class ,we went to Chennai in summer vacation but didn't returned to Delhi ever as appa has taken transfer from his dept . As it was vacation ,Rams was gone to his native ,so I couldn't inform him and after we shifted I somehow lost his number , resulting in lost of contacts . From that day I never met him ,neither heard anything from him . But as we had decided that we will study in this college,I convinced appa and took admission here . Luckily I got to see my Rams after so many years but he is totally mess , he is angrey on me as I went away without informing him and also lost contacts .

M- do you think , you change him as I think he has spoiled beyond repair .

I- nothing like that ,I know I can bring him back .
Achcha tell me about his grades, is he a nice student now also or ...

M- no no ,study wise he is a nice student ,don't know how but he is a topper .

I- that's good .

They were still talking when a group of boys entered the cafeteria which was different from Raman's group . The girls were having their snacks when the boys walked to them and spoke " hello girls ,how are you doing ".

I- we are good ,why are you asking so .

B1- nothing like that ,I thought to introduce and befriend with eachother as we are classmates . Hi I m abhimanyu ,he is vikram, that is samraath,that is vikrant.

M- I m mihika and she is ishita.

A- glad to meet you ,can we join u .

M- yeah you can but we are done and will be leaving shortly as the next class will start soon .

A - just sit ,we will go together.

M- okay.

A- hey ishita what you were talking to that idiot .

I- who ?

A- arey that spoily Raman bhalla .I m saying ,he is just a bad news ,just stay away from him .

Ishita got angry listening to this and spoke, getting up from there ," thats non of your business . I think you are not my local guardian so please stop interfering in my matters ".

Saying so she got up and started going ,when abhi stopped her and spoke " arey ishita, tum to bura man gayi, sorry if you think that I m interfering but I just told that because I think you should know about him . He us actually not a good boy ".

I- I know well about him ,I told you na ...

A- ok baba sorry ,if you think that I m interfering then sorry . Please come and sit on your place ,I promise I will not bother you .

I- no it's ok, I m done ,we should leave for class.

A- still fifteen minutes are left ,you can sit here .

I- no we will go ..

A- why are you being so rude, I already had apologized.

He spoke holding ishita's hand ,she tried to free herself and said " I have some work in office ,let me go ".

A- but ishita...

He was yet to complete his sentence when , someone made ishita's hand free from his grip with great force and they listened his heavy voice " when she told let her go, that clearly mean she don't want to be with you."

A- so ?

R- so ,you should let her go .

A- she is my friend and you don't have any right to speak between us .

R- not yours but she is my best friend and you dare to bother her .

Saying so he took ishita out from there and walked holding her hand till they reach the classroom . He left her hand and was going when ishita held his hand and spoke happily " I know you cannot be angry with me for much time ".

R- we are still not friends and yeah , stay away from abhi. He is not a good boy .

Saying so he left from there leaving a confused and sad ishita behind . She saw him going lighting his cigarette and ran behind him ,he just had lighted the cigarette and was about to puff when she snatched it from him and spoke greeting her teeth"just stop smoking this s**t , don't you dare smoke this again . If I ever see you smoking ,I will go back and will never return ever ,got that ."

Saying so she walked to the classroom while he turned back ,saw her ,shook his head in disbelief and then threw the pack of cigarettes in trashbin . Ishita has just settled in her seat beside mihika . The place beside her was empty ,abhi and group entered the room and was approaching towards the girls when Raman showed up from nowhere and settled beside ishita ,shesmiled fully on his act but he was ignorant and was busy in his phone , making ishita sad again .

Ishita looked at Raman but he was busy in his phone ,making ishita sad . She looked at him then held his hand ,he shrugged her hand and continue playing in phone.Ishita made a irritated face and spoke hissing his hand" Rams you can't ignore me like this ,I have come from Chennai to Delhi only for you ".

R- ( turning to her )- yeah you come for me from Chennai to Delhi only after seven years ,six months , ten days and 15 hours ,isn't it bit soon. You should have waited some more sweety .

I- I m so sorry Rams , I called at your home but non picked the call . You were gone to your grandfathers house .

R- and you got a chance to sneak out ,haina .

I- I never wanted to go like that but have to ,as I was just a kid .

Raman made a dirty face and spoke " what ever".

I- Rams hadn't you ...

R(interrupting her in mid)- shush ,Prof Batra has come.

Ishita got silent noticing the professor entering the classroom.The professor entered the room, introduced himself and started teaching. Raman was still playing game in his mobile , putting it down, under the desk . After sometimes , he made a chick sound as he loosed the game . The professor listened and spoke poiting towards Raman " hey you, please stand up ".

Raman was just starting the new game so he didn't noticed that the prof was calling him , ishita noticed this and elbowed him ,he looked at her ,she signalled towards prof . That's when the prof scolded again "are you in class or somewhere else ".

Raman got up lazily again and asked " what happened sir ".

Prof. Batra - gentleman seems you know everything ,that's why you are not paying attention in class .

Raman looked at the prof and said " sir i already know this and I can't study same thing again and again ".

Prof- ohh so know it ,that's great. Now I don't have to teach this anymore .

All the student got worried and said " sir we don't know ,you can't do this to us because ig one student ".

Prof- let me complete ,I will not let you all suffer. ( looking towards Raman)- so gentleman if you think that you know this earlier ,now come and teach us . We too want to see you wisdom .

Ishita looked at Raman thinking now what he will do when he said " ok as you say ".

Saying so he shoved his mobile in his pocket and went towards the black board . Ishita was gearing about him while he confidently went in the front and started teaching the class . The professor as well as all the students were shocked to know that he very well know the topic and everything about it . He continuously spoke about twenty minutes and then asked " I hope you people are able yo understand me ."

All nodded including the professor ,he smirked and asked " sir ,should I teach the further topic too or you are coming ."

The professor got up from his seat and spoke " that's very nice , you were just amazing but that doesn't mean you will disturb the class .."

R- I wasn't disturbing anybody

Prof - whatever ,but you should pay attention .

R- will try .

Saying so he went towards his seat . He just sat in his seat when ishita said " Rams you were amazing , batra sir couldn't say anything . You are such a genius ".

R- stop talking ,either next will be you .

I- that was rude .

R- may be .

I- you know ,you ...

Prof- the girl next to Mr genius ,you too want to teach ?

I- no sir ,I mean..

Prof- then disturb the class .

I- ok sir .

She said keeping her finger on mouth while the prof continue teaching while Raman started playing the game again , ishita looked at him for sometimes then concentrated towards the prof. noticing she is wasting her time as Raman knows everything while she is new to it.
Soon the period ended and the college too . Raman put his bag on his shoulder and walked out of the class without giving a look to ishita while she ran behind him . She stopped him and spoke turning him towards her " Rams you can't do this to me ,I m trying to talk to you from long but you are go kn avoiding me ."

R-(bit rudely )- yeah ,I m avoiding you . You should feel bad and stay away from me .

I- why are you doing this to me again and again

She said with teary eyes .

R- it's not me but y..you, yo yyou wwanted t to stay a a away fffrom mme , tthat's wwhy yyou wwent wwithout informing me . Tthat ttime you went, tthis time I don't wwant you.

He completed himself between lots of stammering and started going ,ishita wanted to stop him but didn't, she can sense his sadness through his stammering and thought to give some more time to him . He didnt stopped there ,just settled in his bike and rode away while ishita just stood at her place . She still has tears in her eyes when someone placed hand on her back ,ishita turned to see it is mihika . She raised her eyes and asked " hey ishita what happened why are you crying."

Before ishita can say anything , they heard " that loser must had said something had to poor girl ".

It was abhi again , ishita glared him and spoke " I think you forget what Rams told you , koi nahi I m repeating again ,he is my best friend and you stay away from that .ok ".

Abhi- ohh sorry ,I thought he was just saying likewise.

I- no we were friends .

Abhi- may be you were friends but that doesn't mean that you will never befriend with anyone . You can be our friend too . Hai I m abhimanyu .

Ishita didn't responded when mihika said " he is right ishita , you should be friend with others also . They are good boy ".

Ishita smiled a bit and shakes her hand with abhi then samraath ,Vikram and vikrant . They talked some more and then went back to their home. Ishita was staying in hostel ,so she went to hostel while other to their house . Ishita thought a lot of Raman ,she wanted to believe everyone that he is not a good boy ,but she couldn't believe, he is a bright student though he bother professors much above all his stammer . She knows that he too is like her and stammers whenever he is sad ,nervous and scared. It's just what was it ? Nervousness, sadness or fear . She thought lot about him and thought to give some more time to him . From the next day ishita was all around Raman but was not trying to speak to him , he too sat with her but never talks to her . On the other hand she has become friends with mihika and Abhi's
group. They use spend time together but ishita's eyes were on Raman only . She noticed that he is now, not spending any spare time in college ,just attends his college and goes . She tried to ask about him but non know much about him and she don't talk to those who knew about .

It was one day when ishra were sitting in class and were busy in themselves when abhi came and greeted ishita saying " hai ish... "

Ishita looked at abhi then Raman ,she can anger in his eyes as she very well know that ,he don't like anyone calling her ish beside him . She know he will start fighting with abhi and as she pretended he got up from his place , greeting his teeth . Ishita noticed this and held his hand tightly ,he tried to withdraw his hand but she held it more tightly, he glared her ,she shook her head negatively, stopping him to fight and spoke to abhi " Its ishita abhimanyu ,you should call me that ".

A- what's the difference between ishita and ish ,its just short version of ishita .

I- may be but I like to be called by my full name. Ok .

A- ok as you say .

Saying so he settled beside mihika whole ishita pulled Raman and made him sit . He glared abhi and spoke to ishita" I will broke all his teeth ,if he calls you that next time ".

I- ok as you please but tell me one thing, why are you always angry on him .

Raman didn't bother to answer her and got busy in writing something ,making ishita furious again ,she elbowed Raman on his stomach and said " ignore me like this ,I will became abhi's girlfriend someday ".

R- he is an idiot ,you can't even stand him .

I- seems someone is very confident .

R- don't try to be friendly, I m still mad at you .

I- I know that you are khadoos and want much of my attention .

R- whatever .

I- show me what are you writing.

R- nothing ,you will not understand it .

I- yeah how can I, Mr genius is writing na ,so how can I.

R- exactly .

I- I will kill you someday.

R- you had already done that.

He said still writing but ishita got silent listening to this . She looked at him with concern but he was busy with his work .

Part 4

Few more days passed ,ishra relationship was still cold , though ishita had not given up but Raman was not giving her time . He comes late to class and leaves college as earliest as possible , living ishita with no choice stay away from him and spend more times with other . Ishita too started thinking that Raman is not the same person who was his best friend whom she has left . Though she was hurt with his behaviour but she can't even blame him because it was her who had left him . She was still sitting in the class writing some random things in her notebook when mihika said " hey ishita where are you lost babe".

I- nowhere.

She answered bluntly ,mihika sat beside her and spoke softly " I know you are upset because of Raman na."

Ishita looked at mihika ,giving her a helpless look and spoke " I know miku that I left away but he has to understand that I was just a kid , how could I had stayed back for him ".

M- I totally agree with you ,that's why I always say ,that bhalla is reacting too much , you should not give him much importance, ignore him ,then see he himself will come behind you .

I- no miku it's not about importance.

M- then ,what do you think it is ?

I- I don't know exactly but it's more than anger , his eyes are so blank without any expression , though he show his anger to me but it's not only that .

M- may be its love ,may be you are his first love but before he confesses his love to you ,you went away .

I- are you nuts ,we were in class eight when I left ,we were kids at that time miku .

M- hadn't you listen ,na umr ki seema ho na janmo ka ho bandhan , Jab pyaar koi to dekhe kewal mann.

I- suna hai phir .

M- phir ye ki ,any one can fall for anyone at any age ,so may be your best friend Raman bhalla was in love with you and you went without prior notice, so he have right to be angry .

I- is it so ,Rams loved me .

M- ofcourse it is .

Ishita blushed listening to mihika ,,she noticed this and teased " oops someone is blushing , that mean you too love him ".

I- naah ,I don't love him ,he is just my friend .

M- you are lying na.

I- nahi re ,nothing like that . I don't love him ,he is just my friend .

M- may be not you but he loves you .

I- pata nahi , but I don't think so .

M- ok then , we are going for shopping now .

I- shopping ? What shopping ?

M- chill man ,we don't have any further classes and your Bhalla has also left so we can go and you know ,you don't have any option to deny .

I- ok as you say.

Saying so she kept her notebook in her bag and left with mihika ,they just has reached the main gate of college when Abhi and group too join them with two more girls , manisha and preeti, they too were their classmate . Ishita looked at them and asked mihika " somany people ? ".

M- yeah ,we are going with them ,actually today is samraath's birthday and he is giving us party.

I- ohh that's great ,happy birthday samraath .

Sam- that's a lot ishita,meet preeti my girl .

I- I know her as my classmate now I had another introduction of her .

That's when vikram embraces manisha in his arms and announced that she is his girlfriend while vikrant looked and mihika and she blushed ,making it clear that they are couple . Ishita teased mihika through eyes while she just turned beetroot red .All couples sat on their bikes while ishita and abhi was left alone, now ishita was confused what to do . Though she don't have any problem in sitting with abhi but she don't want to make Raman more angry. She very well knew that he don't like about a bit . Ishira was thinking about Raman's reaction when abhi came near in his bike and said " hey ishita where are you lost , come sit ,that looser is not around, so you need not to fear ."

Ishita got angry listening to this and spoke " Abhi how many times I told you ,not to speak anything against Rams ."

Saying so she went out of the college campus and started looking for some transport ,when abhi came behind her and spoke " I m so sorry ishita ,I will not tell anything to your best friend , come on sit on my bike ".

I- no I m good ,you go ,I don't want your lift .

Abhi held ishita's hand and spoke " ishita please ,I m genuinely sorry , I swear I will not talk ill about your friend ,ok . Forgive me for once ."

He spoke making a puppy face, ishita smiled a bit and said " last time .,if you say anything about Rams again ,I will not talk to you ever ".

A- ok maam as you say .

Ishita settled in his bike and they rode towards the shopping mall . All Girls and all boys splits in two groups and went to their sections to buy things for themselves . After about two hours of long shopping they were done with it ,then they went to their respective homes and hostels ,only to meet again in evening for the party.

It was 7.30 PM in the evening as abhi was alone , he again came to pick ishita . This time he had brought his car to pick her . They drove towards the disco where the party was, they reached bit late and everybody else were already there waiting for them . Ishita saw the place and asked " what's this ".

Ma- this is disco sweety ,come in and enjoy .

I- I have never been to these place .

Ma- haan then come now ,its a lovely place ,you will enjoy here .

P- yeah ,come on.

Saying so they all entered the place, samraath has already bought their passes . They all went inside , they went to the counter asked drinks for everybody ,boys took bear while girls settled for fruit champagne. After that all went and started dancing ,atfirst ishita was denying but when everybody insisted, she too went and started dancing . Atfirst she was bit shy but when she started she started dancing freely that's when she spotted Raman ,sitting on the stool near the bar counter drinking something . She left the dance and walked to him ,she settled beside him . Raman didn't noticed him and was waiting for his drink while her eyes were on him, the moment the bartender kept his glass ,she grabbed it . Raman turned to her and spoke angrily before seeing the person " what the hell ,do you think...". He stopped in mid and spoke after a while getting surprised " ish... is it you ".

I- yeah .

R- give that's my drink..

I- now I holding so that's my drink .

R- have you lost it ,its alcohol.

I- ohh , thanks for informing.

Saying so she was about to sip when he held her hand and spoke stopping her" pagal hai kya ,you are not going to have this ".

I- why ? If you can have it then I too can have it . Chalo aadha aadha peetein hain ,yaad hai ma'am ne sikhaya tha ,sharing is caring .

R- yeah ,I remember ,I care for you that's why I m stopping you .

I- aise kaise .

R- you know it's not good for health .

I- achcha .

R- humm .

Saying so he got up ,paid for his drinks and was going. Ishita ran behind him and held his hand ,he freed his hand from him and was going when ishita said " Rams if you will leave without talking to me ,then I swear I will go and drink ."

Ishita looked at Ranan and spoke "take me to your home .

R- no one is there ,its all alone . Dark and lone.

Saying so she quickly send a message to mihika that she is leaving and followed Raman,both settled in his bike and rode towards his house . Not much away from the disco they entered in a street and then stopped in front of a house. Ishita looked at it and recalled that she has come here many years back . She don't really recalls it but just have a blurry image of it , she was still looking at the place while Raman unlocked the door ,he entered the house while ishita followed him . He turns on the light and ishita looked at the house ,it was a big house with all lovely decor but it was bit old ,ishita was still looking at the hall while Raman went to kitchen . She too followed him and saw him putting pan on gas stove , before she could ask he asked " tea on coffee ".

I- coffee with mixture and chips .

R- are you still goody like earlier .

I- not ne but you were goody, do you remember you were fatty too .

R- I was not fat but plum rather you were fat .

Saying so she ran to him to hit him ,he too was ready, he just held her both hands on either side and pushed her ,she walked backwards, he keep pushing her and she kept moving backward ,till she was block with wall . He locked her both hands above her head with his one hand and looked deep into her eyes ,she too looked at him ,non spoke anything just kept staring at eachother ,when ishita felt ticklish, she looked down only to find him tickling her in stomach , she widened her eyes and begged " no Rams don't do that , you know I will so ticklish ".

R- I knew it baby , you want to kill me na , now kill ,now kill .

Saying so he tickle her more and more while she kept laughing. As he got busy in tickling her ,his grip on her hands got loose , she pulled her hands from his hand and ran into the hall pushing him ,he ran behind her and chased her . He was just close to her when she shouted "statue ". Raman listened it and got frozen in his place. She turned a bit to check if he has frozen or still chasing her ,she took a breath if relief when she saw him still . She turned too him , walked to him and hugged him tight saying " I missed you somuch ".

She hugged him for much time while her eyes got moist,after a while when she pulled herself from him and was about to release him ,she noticed tears were running down from his eyes too ,she hugged him again releasing him from his statue mode.His hands too wrapped around her ,the moment she released him. Both remain in the hug for much time when Raman said " I so missed you ish, I m glad that you still want to be my friend after what had happened with me ".

I- are you mad ,we are friends and will remain that only whatever the situations are . Maine appa ko kitna manaaya then he let me come here and coincidendtly we met .

R- remember we promised to study in sane college .

I- yeah ,that's why I took admission in this college .

R- I was so happy to see you after somany years .

I- but you were behaving like a asshole .

Raman's face fell listening to his, she walked to him , lifted his face and asked making him look at her " what's wrong ".

He didn't said anything just looked down while she can notice him gulping his saliva through his throat ,she made him sit on the couch and said " you wait ,I will be back soon ".

Saying so she left for kitchen ,she made coffee, put some mixture and chips on the plate, and walked to the hall . She noticed that he was sitting in same position, she walked to her ,kept the tray on centre table and sat beside her . Ishita turned to him and spoke " Rams are you ready to share it with me ,if yes then speak if not then I m not going to force you. We can start from here only ".

Raman looked at her and spoke " My father is cheater ".

Ishita eyes widened in shock while he removed his gaze from her and spoke looking randomly
" yeah ish Papa was cheating my ma and had another family . That year when you go away from here ,we come to know about this truth after we returned from our grandfather's place . We were coming back from my Nanu's place (maternal grandfather) place and ma told me to call papa ,so that he can come and pick us . I did same but instead of him atfirst a boy picked the phone ,after that a lady took it from him. ".

Ishita looked at Raman ,his face was hard and his gaze was fixed in a place, she tried to look the point he was looking at got to know that ,he was not looking at anything but was just holding his tears in his eyes which were ready to roll down from his eyes anytime . She wiped his eyes and spoke passing the coffee mug to him " I m so sorry ,I was not with you when you actually needed me ".

He held the mug and spoke " I shouted on ma that she has given me wrong number and some random people are talking over at this number . Ma frowned and took the phone from me , she too dialled his number and suddenly I saw the phone fell from her hands , I took the phone and tried to talk to papa only to listen that lady's voice again . She was shouting on us for calling and bothering her husband . I didn't believed my ears and shouted back that m not bothering her husband rather wanted to talk to my father. Saying so I hung your phone , I called the same number two three times and finally papa picked the call . I was beyond shocked to listen my father on same number in which that woman was yelling at us ".

I- then ?

R- I confronted my father at phone itself about that woman and boy . He just shrugged it saying she was one of his office colleagues.
Though ma and I didn't said anything but we got suspicious, I was small so I thought this for two three days and then forget but found that my parents started fighting at daily basis . Papa use to either come late or stay out in nights . Later papa started abusing ma ,atfirst ma fights with him but when he started beating her she got silent and I became scared and alone . Non was there ,no friends no siblings , ma too started being sick . One day my Nanu had called and I told everything to him .

I- then .

R- then my Nanu and Mamu came, they had great argument and after that my father left us for always.Nanu wanted to take us to amristsar with them but ma said that my schooling is here ,moreover she don't wanted to be burden on them. They tried to convince us much but we didn't go with them .

Raman's eyes welled up listening to this ,ishita wiped his tears and hugged him to console , he too wiped his tears from the back of his palm and spoke " ma started doing a job to support us.Nanu and mamu use to visit us occasionally two years passed we had anyhow adjusted without papa but both of us has became silent . Ma because she was betrayed and was coping up with it while I stopped talking to everyone as no one tried to understand my situation rather all started talking over it ,some mock me showing their sympathy while some mock me on my face . I even had fight with some of boys , I was so missing you but you were not here with me. I thought to call you but didn't had your new number . ".

Ishita was all silent listening to him ,she too was crying along with him their all face was red and puffy due to continuous cries . Both were silent, Raman because he was preparing himself to talk about his mother while ishita don't have much courage to listen more about Raman's misery . She now understands about his situation and his anger, now the reason of his attitude and rudeness is clear . She wanted to console him but his sufferings were too deep that mear words can't heal it . She just pulled him in her arms and spoke " I m so sorry Rams ,I was not there with you at that time but I promise now I will be always with you ,no matter what but we will be always together. "

Saying so she rested his head on her shoulder and let him cry. After a while she noticed that he was has slept, though she was yet to get many answers but she let it go thinking he himself will tell her when he will be comfortable. After thinking for sometimes she too slept in couch itself beside him ,his head still resting on her shoulder while she patted his cheek softly .

Ishita opened her eyes feeling the sunrays which was peeping from the curtains, she got up ,stretched herself then noticed that she us in unknown place. She got confused thinking where she is , she tried to recall and recalled that last night she was with Raman and slept in his couch while consoling him . But now she was in bed ,in a room , she assumed that may be she is still in his house . Thinking so ishita climbed down the bed and walked out of the room to reach the hall . She found the couch and got relived that it's his house only, but he was nowhere . That's when she listened some sounds from the kitchen and walked towards there.She peeped in kitchen and found Raman , cooking something , she smiled and spoke " good morning Rams ".

Raman looked at her and greeted her back " good morning ish , slept well".

I- humm ,but we slept in couch then how come I...

R- When I woke in midnight, I find us sleeping very uncomfortably so I tucked in you bed .

I- ohh , that was your room .

R- yeah ,actually I had spare rooms too but hadn't opened it from many days, they must be dirty ,so I thought to take up kn mine only .

I- If I was in bed then where did you slept.

R- I slept in couch.

I- ohh .what are you making .

R- making tea and breakfast. Tu piyegi .

I- haan, what are you making .

She asked peeping into the pot .

R- chowmin , tu khaayegi .

I- ofcourse , you know cooking .

R- yeah , I also need to eat to live .

I- don't you have servants.

R- I have , one maid is there but she only cleans and wash my cloths .

I- abs you cook by yourself .

R- yeah and when I don't feel like cooking ,I order from outside .

I- ohh , that's great Rams ,I m proud of you .

Raman smiled and said " go and freshen up ,tea is ready ."

I- freshen up ? Shh ,I m at your house and don't have anything to start my day .

R- don't panick, I have spare toothbrush , tu brush Kar ke, hadyour breakfast then I will drop you to hostel , you can freshen up there and come to college .

I- I think that's nice idea ,tu aayega mujhe pick karne .

R- me ? Won't you feel bad to be seen with me ,the bad boy of college .

I- are you crazy ,I have come from Chennai to her ,only for how then how come you think that I will be embarrassed with you. Rams I know I was not there and those were the hardest day of your life but now I m with you,with my bestest friend .

She spoke clinging on him , he made faces and spoke " bestest is not any word".

I- I know but I wanted much nice wirfdthan best so its bestest.

I- I was always that .

R- now go and freshen up, I m serving tea .

Saying sk she turn to go when he stopped and said ,passing the new brush to her " atleast take this ".

Saying so she took the brush and went to the wash basin, she brushed her teeth ,washed her face and then came back . He was already waiting for her with tea ,doing something on phond, she settled beside him and asked looking into the phone " what are you doing. "

R- nothing was just reading the newspaper .

I- in mobile .

R- yeah ,I had subscribe it over here only as I don't get enough time to read the newspaper .

I- that's great but you don't spend much time in college then why are you so busy .

R- I have many other works beside college .

I- tell me .

R- I have a job .

I- (surprised)- job ? You work?.

R- yeah ,you know I don't have any one to support so I had to earn my living by myself .

His eyes got filled but he wiped instantly and spoke ,changing the topic " ish have the tea, this must be the best tea ,you ever had ".

I- why not ,masterchef RB has made ,so it has to be the best .

R- jyada bakwaas na kar and have your tea .

She showed her tongue to him and picked her tea . She shipped a sip and spoke "man to nahi hai ,but still I will say, this is actually one of the best tea I had ever had . Tu cook ki job to nahi karta ".

R- no duffer ,I m working in a call centre and also make business presentation for my uncles firm .

I- ohh ,so you do two jobs .

R- yeah, actually after my mother I was all alone without any support but luckily I was eighteen and can take care of myself . My Nanu wanted to take me along as I had just completed my schooling but I denied saying my studies are here,then they got me admitted in college and were paying for me, which I was not liking. I even told same to my uncle ,he assured me that it's ok and if I want ,I can pay him after I start earning . I was not liking this so I searched some part time job , got one . I was at my work when my my uncle come to see me and was not happy seeing me working in shopping mall , so he offered me to work with him. But obviously i cannot go as my college was there , so he gave me little training about his work and making presentation . After that I started to make presentations for his different projects.

I- you had suffered a lot Rams, but how did you manage all this.

R- my college were mostly in morning so I attended college then was going for work kn shopping mall but when I left the job ,I got enough time for my studies and making presentation.

I- you learnt making presentation on very first time.

R- No my mamu stayed with me for sometimes and taught me , I was a quick learner so learnt it soon .

I- then why do you do this call centre job .?

R- I was so alone and was having much time ,so thought to work ,its gives nice salary which is a plus in my earning.

I- I m so proud of you Rams , I must say you are really strong.

R- no I m not , my mom was stronger than me ,I was angry with you as you left me as you were my friend but she never showed any anger towards my father , though he had betrayed her . She loves him somuch that she even died in his arms .

He closed his eyes to hide the tears which has formed but they rolled down ,the moment he closed his eyes .She wiped them and hugged him tight , he broke into tears and spoke " what an irony of life is it ishita ,that man had betrayed my mother and he only got the chance to do her lady rites ."

I- how did she died ?

Ishita asked meekly,seeing his state . She knows that may be make him remind his mothers death but she wanted to know about his mother . Raman looked at her and spoke
" one day her health was not ok ,I even told her to take leave but she didn't listened to me and went ,don't know what happened after that but in evening I got a call ,informing me that mom met with accident and is very serious . I rushed to hospital but couldn't talked to her as my father was also there and they were talking . I went out of the room ,till he was in room but the moment I went inside my mom died ,just after blessing me and telling me to take care of myself . I couldn't even talked to her ish ,just because of that man ,I couldn't even spend the last moments of her life with her ,I so hate him ish ,I so hate ."

I- your father didn't called you to come with him .

R- he did , he apologised to me and called me to live with him but I denied as I was an adult .

Ishita hugged him again and spoke " I m sorry that you have to bear everything alone, you know how I m feeling , I m feeling like I have left you in alone when you were fighting with your flaws and now had come back when the bad time is over . How many times I say sorry , the damage I had done can't be repaired."

R- it was not your fault, you were small at that time. I missed you a lot and so wanted you with me but the moment you said that you come here to complete your MBA ,I got mad that you are not here for me but for studies ,that broke me .

I- you don't know Rams ,though everything was there ,my parents ,good environment, nice surroundings, lovely friends but still there was a miss ,an emptiness because we were not together . I so wanted you back in my life but I couldn't do anything , so I waited till I grow, so that i can live anywhere alone and I m back here because i was missing my best friend .

R- I m sorry for my behavior .

I- kaan pakad ke sorry bol .

R- ok.

Saying so he held ishita's ear and was saying sorry ,when ishita said "not mind but yours ".

R- mujhe to aise hi sorry bone aata hai .

I- tu hamesha idiot hi rahega.

R- aur tu idiotny .

Ishita laughed aloud and asked " what's that ,idiotny ".

R' idiot's friend idiotny .

Ishra reached college together on his bike , every eyes stopped at them as it was the first time any girl was sitting behind Raman and his charming beautiful smile was the catch of the
day . Non were believing their eyes that they were actually witnessing a smiling Raman bhalla . Ishira hopped down from his bike and waited for him to park his bike ,then both walked towards their class . Ishita saw mihika and group , she pulled Raman towards them but he stopped , the moment he saw abhi .

R- ish ,I m not going there .

I- why , they are nice and my friends , now as I have come ,I don't want you to be alone . Come.

Saying so she dragged him towards the group , but he again pulled back and said " ish , I don't need anyone as now I have you ."

I- chal na Rams ,why are you being so stubborn.

R- I don't like that asshole Abhi .

Ishita turned to him and asked narrowing her eyes " is that anything which I don't know ".

Raman looked at her ,then spoke meekly downcasting his eyes "yeah ,there is something more which I didn't told you ."

I- and when you were planning to tell me .

R- you know I can't hide anything from you , bata doonga jaldi .

Saying so she dragged him to her friends , all were already looking at them . The moment they reached to the group ,Mihika asked
" ishita where did you vanished last night ".

Raman nodded and all moved towards the classroom . The classes went well as today Raman didn't disturbed any professor ,rather he was much attentive and helpful in class . The professors too were surprised to see this side of Raman but they all were glad to see the changes in him. It was lunch time and all moved towards the cafeteria, ishita was not leaving Ramans side ,rather she was holding his hand all the time . The group ordered their snacks and were waiting for it ,that's when Raman received a call from his uncle regarding some work . He excused himself and went out to talk . Mihika saw him leaving and spoke elbowing ishita " everything sorted ".

I- yeah ,I m so glad that my old Rams is back .

M- I m noticing you are not leaving his side .

I- yeah ,because I don't want to let him go as I got my best friend after much long time .

M- I doubt he is only your best friend .

I- what do you mean ?

M- I can see there is much more than best friends relationship.

I- had you lost it ,Rams is my friend only .

M- achcha , but I hadn't seen you this happy till now .

I- no that's not the matter ,we are just friends but I will not allow you are any other girl of this college to be with him .

I- no, because you all don't understand and will never understand him . You should had tried when he was alone without me . You recall ,you yourself told me to stay away from him saying he is a bad news then why your opinion had changed now . As a true friend I will not allow any of you to be near him when you all abandoned him when he was alone .

Ishita spoke bitterly ,mihika didn't said anything for sometimes . Ishita looked at her and realised that she was much bitter to her . Realising so she placed her hand over mihika's hand and spoke " I m sorry mihika if I hurt you , but I m bit possessive about him . He had already gone through somuch and I was not there to sooth him that's why may be I sounded like that but you both are my friends and I love you both.May be I love him bit more but I love you too ,so don't be angry with me ,you know I only got some friends only .

M- I got it , waise I was just joking . I m happy with Vikram, just wanted to see if you are jealous but I saw, care and possessiveness instead . As you say Raman has gone through somuch then I m happy that now you are with him and you know what , you two look cute together, hope I can see you as couple .

Ishita blushed listening to this and spoke " I don't think it will happen in her future ".

They were still talking when they listen sone chores from outside ,they got up and went out to check ,only for found Abhi and Raman fighting, ishita ran to Raman and shouted holding his hands " Rams what's going on , I told you na that we are friends then why are you fighting. I don't like this behaviour of your".

R- I don't like him and listen you are not his friend .

I- what's this Raman , I m a grown up girl and can decide whom I can or cannot be friend . You are not going to decide this .

Raman saw ishita surprisingly while Abhi smirked listening to her . Raman gave a deadly glare to abhi , that's when ishita said " gunda hai tu , jo aise ladta rahega , dekh kitni lagi hai.

She spoke touching corner of his lips which was bleeding ,she wiped it slowly with her hanky and said " , now come to clinic and I will make sure that the doctor with poke you atleast four injections "."

Raman was listening to her scolding, downcastong his head like a kid , he was always scared of injections so when he listened about it ,he raised his eyes and spoke
" I m good ,I m not coming with you ."

I- I m not requesting but telling you to come with me, got that ,so basically you don't have any choice .

Saying so she dragged him out from there without glancing at abhi who too was injured . Ishra settled on his bike and moved towards the nearby clinic , the doctor checked him , he cleaned his wounds and gave some medicine . Raman was too happy that the doctor didn't gave injection to him but ishita said " sir aren't you going to give him injection ".

Raman glared her while the doctor said " no dear ,they are just lil brushes so injection is not needed but youngman if you keep hurting yourself like this ,I have to inject you ."

They thanked the doctor and headed towards his house ,the journey was sliding as they couldn't talk much on bike . They reached his house , the moment they entered ishita asked " ab bol why you fought with him and why you can't befriend with him?.

R- ish ,I m hurt and hungry ,won't you cook something for me .

I- what will you eat ?

R- kuch bhi , jo tujhe aata ho .

I- ohh ,please I can cook anything .

R- ten make paalak paneer for me .

I- are you nuts , I m not your wife that I will prepare your fav. food . Maggie khaayega.

R- we ate noodles in morning.

I- phir sandwich ya fried rice .

R- fried rice sounds good, wohi bana de .

I- do you have vegetables and paneer .

R- yeah they are in fridge .

Saying so he was going ,when ishita pulled him and spoke " I hadn't forget ok ,so you need to tell me about abhi ".

Raman made a irritated face and spoke " won't you spare me ".

I- nope .

R- ok listen ,he is my step brother , my father's son .

Saying so he rushed towards his room ,leaving a shocked ishita behind .
