Both DT and KP have proven their acting capabilities time and again in YHM!
Honestly, when I first watched YHM, it was Divyanka’s acting and Ruhi’s innocence that drew me towards the show. I actually did not like KP’s look. I did not like his pairing with DT. Within a month, everything changed. I’ve been a huge fan of DivAn ever since! 😍
"when I first watched YHM, it was Divyanka’s acting and Ruhi’s innocence that drew me towards the show" - exact reason for me to start watching YHM. The car scene was a peach, YHM was dubbed into several languages and none of the actors could reprise the above-mentioned scene except in Tamil, where the actress was convincing. DT and Ruhaanika took it to a next level. The ferocity, emanating from DT's eyes was in perfect juxtaposition to Ruhi's embalming face 😍👏
Though it's not related to the post. DivAn are two extremely talented actors who challenge and complement each other, lest the show wouldn't have been the same.
If not for KP, RKB would have been a goner seeing the way his character been sabotaged and similarly Ishima wouldn't have been a household name if not for DT's enduring appeal.
It is safe to assert that the duo did portray the roles to the best of their abilities but Ishita and Raman are two characters with varied scope as different as chalk and cheese.

True. In the initial days, I was so touched by Ishita’s pain. Her inability to conceive and Subbu leaving her as a consequence had scarred her so badly. Whenever she cried, I could sense the pain in her eyes. Such a powerful acting it was! No wonder Ishita has become such a popular character.
About Ruhanika, she wasn’t actually very great in acting and dialogue delivery. But that is what made Ruhi cute and heart warming. Her longing for love and the happiness in her eyes whenever she was with her Ishita aunty! 😍
Raman was an enigmatic man. His ignorance towards Ruhi and his rude attitude is what made me love Ruhi and Ishita’s bond even more. As the story progressed and when the reason behind his bitterness was revealed, I truly sympathised with Raman. This man loses himself when bad things happen. His entire personal life was in a disarray after Shagun ditched him. He had lost belief in relationship because of the betrayal of the one whom he loved the most. KP portrayed this pain so well. One thing that has remained constant in YHM until date is that fact that Ishita is the comforting factor in Raman’s life. Ishita is Raman’s serenity and tranquility. She is his balancing factor. Without her Raman loses balance of his emotions. Raman needs Ishita and so does Ishita need Raman. Ishita’s emptiness was thwarted by Raman’s love. How long have these two progressed as a couple! They fight madly, hide things from each other, hurl abuses and hit where it hurts the most. Yet, their love for each other has been unfaltering even after all these years. Such a made for each other couple IshRa are! 😍
Good old days! I’d never regret watching this show no matter what nonsense the CVs show because IshRa and choti Ruhi have carved a place for themselves in my heart. The main credit goes to Divyanka, Karan, Ruhanika and also the script and screenplay writers.

Being a Tamilian, I’ve also watched a little bit of Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai. It was very decent for a Tamil show. Anything after DivAn seems substandard to me. But this show was decent. It is such a shame that the heroine quit, and the show shut down within a month since the new heroine wasn’t accepted by the audience. They ended that show in a horrible way. If I am not wrong, Raman’s Tamil counterpart, Arjun had some evil twin who took his place. The show ended with Ishita’s Tamil counterpart, Priya finding the real Arjun.
DT is so busy that's why KP got lucky with SP🤣🤣
Otherwise SP using a male lead for promotions is impossible especially for YHM.

Some interesting points!! About Ruhanika, she was almost a toddler at that time so it was obvious for her to have limitations and as you have stated that shortcomings by virtue of her age, effected in a connect with the audience.. The serenity on her face during the car scene was a great bait for the viewer, so realistic 😢
Coming to IshRa to reinstate your stance, they complete each other. They are two imperfectly perfect couple who are in perpetual love. They did have some animosity between them but so is their ungirdled love. Yes they fight each other but together they stand undefeated and irrefutable 😍.
Caught up with some glimpses of #YHM tamil version, the lady had the spark but couldn't say the same with hero, there wasn't any distinct shades in his portrayal, at least to me.. Thank you for the gist!!!

Maybe there is no problem b/w sp&kp
Geneally sp uses only female leads for promotion.
Plus they never promote actors and they only promote characters like ishitha, gopi, kushi, sandya, akshara etc.
colors channel promote actors name more than characters
Kapil, mouni, hina, arjun etc and colors channel made them superstars
Sp is very sanskari and very strict
